Yeah I come across ads for SWA1501 for sale. One person wants $500 for his mint condition 1501. On another ad, this guy has 2 for sale, little beat up, with one driver from one of the sub blown, but other sub works good. He wants $600 both. But with all the negs I heard about Mackie subs. Im very wary about buying them
yes great job there! its all about doing what you have to. i have had to do repairs on speakers all my career, from changing speakon sockets to changing drivers, worth learning quick if you dont know how this is what the dj community is all about!
quick question Im trying to change the speaker on the same sub, was your original speaker glue to the frame? I took all my bolts out and the speaker still glue or stuck to the wood frame, how did you get it out?
@labola84 yeah I dont know if it was glued or what but it was stuck to, I just used a flat head screw driver, and slowly pushed it under it between fram and the wood. Just pry a little on each side, should pop up..
well i convurted my mc-15 top speakers to subs and it wurks fine i removed the horns witch wure brooken becous the ashole i bought them from puted other drivers so you geus what hapend to the plestick horns yea snapt in 2 i puted a alu plate on it painted black puld the x-over out becous i aso run the same x-over as you have puted originel dap 15" drivers in and trust me i can make every thing ratel in my room
@djstyleone Right????cause it doesnt work at all!!!! especially since it has a cross over, and its the same specs as a sub that is rated at the same watts and ohms,,,, but Im sure your right,,,, Stupid idea!!!!!
your local tv repair shop (they usually have an old guy in there- those old guys know everything about electronics) he could probably repair it for cheap.
