for all you people that say the 350z is shitty, shut the fuck up please, yeah the first few years of production was a fail with the vq35de engine, after they made the "rev up" model they were getting faster, then the last few years of the 350 with the vq35hr engine, they were pretty damn quick. i've always been a big Z car fan and IMO the best Z car nissan ever made has got to be the 300zx twin turbo.
@NissanTy I had an 03 vq35de Z. After test pipes, plenum spacer, underdrive pully, and intake I was beating anything short of a LS Fbody every time out and even then I could beat some of them from a 40 roll. Oh and I could take a corner ;)

It was always very very quick, always sounded great, looked great, handled great, etc. As the years went by, it got even better, but it was never a 'fail'. Anyone that's ever driven one for real, or done any track driving knows the car was great. Man the A/C was sooo loud though lol.

@NissanTy True! But the 350z and the 370z, both handle better. In my opinion, a 500 hp supercharged 350z or 370z would be best for daily driving. 600 + hp, I would go with 300zx. On a side note, I would still buy a vq35de 350z regardless of what those fags say. Its a shame though, none of the previous gtrs never made it over :-(

I prefer nissan, but the 2jz is a much better engine than the RB; it's got sequential instead of parallel turbos (wider torque band) there's less external engine shit to fight with, it doesn't have the factory crankshaft balance problems of the RB. And it's all aluminum, IIRC. I suppose on the flip side it was never mated to an AWD tranny, but IMO RWD is more predictable.
cant go wrong either way. it all goes down to looks in the end. i prefer the toyota body while others would prefer the nissan body. cant go wrong with either engine.

looks too much like the Porsche 911 and Audi TT...my opinion the 350 still as a more distinct body style. This car lacks the sex appeal that the 350 brings. Although this looks like a hell of a lot of fun to drive though. Nismo still does a bang up job.

Oil cooler? Who the hell wants an oil cooler? Are they paid to emphasize the cons? I think this guy is just jealous. I own a 2009 370Z Nismo and the 18+ HP is not as great as the upgraded suspension, lighter wheels, and stylin exterior/interior. BTW, theoretically this car can push over 900 hp to the wheels... and thats only with today's FI systems.
@grassh0ppa In all reality, Nissan should have installed an oil cooler on the Nismo's. The oil temperature heats up crazy fast and then the car goes into limp mode. It's the biggest complaint I hear from Nismo 370 owners.
@1vdn992 my buddy works for a Nissan dealer as tech, he says the only up side to a GTR is its speed, the ride is uncomfortably ruff because of those tight coilovers and the tranies for a lot of GTRs go bad quick, but hey if you got the dough and don't mind spending 3k on a new trany every 40k miles, go for it

The 350z is the cute one that everyone likes. The 370z is the slightly ugly cousin with the wide cheekbones that feels the need to work really hard to make up for its ugliness... This performs better, the 350z just looks better.
@crazyphilly555 the suspension is much stiffer ... you can feel pretty much every bump on the streets ... on a track you don't worry about pot holes and you want a stiffer suspension on a sports car
@PW227 The front bumper is ugly and to plain looking. Some indentions or fog lights should of been place there. The spoiler and rear end looks better than the lower model 370Z.

The older 1 had twin turbos, all wheel steering, t-tops, and can be tuned up more since it already has turbos installed. The newer 350 & 370Z are more efficient though, making more h/p w/o turbos & get better MPG, but less torque too.

Part of me thinks, well if I am driving something that looks a little like a porsche, maybe I should just swallow my pride and get one. Except everyone I know that has one happens to be a tosser, puts me off. I liked the 350z because it had the performance without saying anything negative about the driver.

Oil cooler? Who the hell wants an oil cooler? Are they paid to emphasize the cons? I think this guy is just jealous. I own a 2009 370Z Nismo and the 18+ HP is not as great as the upgraded suspension, lighter wheels, and stylin exterior/interior. BTW, theoretically this car can push over 900 hp to the wheels... and thats only with today's FI systems.

@grassh0ppa In all reality, Nissan should have installed an oil cooler on the Nismo's. The oil temperature heats up crazy fast and then the car goes into limp mode. It's the biggest complaint I hear from Nismo 370 owners.

@1vdn992 my buddy works for a Nissan dealer as tech, he says the only up side to a GTR is its speed, the ride is uncomfortably ruff because of those tight coilovers and the tranies for a lot of GTRs go bad quick, but hey if you got the dough and don't mind spending 3k on a new trany every 40k miles, go for it

The 350z is the cute one that everyone likes. The 370z is the slightly ugly cousin with the wide cheekbones that feels the need to work really hard to make up for its ugliness... This performs better, the 350z just looks better.

@TEUFELHuNDEN420 To be honest with you, the 300ZX is probably the complete opposite of what the 370z should be. Sure it was fast but it was too big and to heavy to be a real sports car. The 370Z is probably the perfect Z. Great blend on the original 240Z and modern technology...

@TEUFELHuNDEN420 I like the older 1s design more than the current 1. The 300ZX had more thought into designing it and its more complex. The older 1 had twin turbos, all wheel steering, t-tops, and can be tuned up more since it already has turbos installed. The newer 350 & 370Z are more efficient though, making more h/p w/o turbos & get better MPG, but less torque too.

@fhhs05 it's not shit at all really if you think about it. that corvette's gonna set ya back about 20 or so thousand more(don't know the prices, but i'd say that should be close-ish). that's enough to build the hell out of the z and destroy anything in its path, with 2 less cylinders and almost half the displacement. i dunno about you, but i think that's pretty damn impressive. not that i don't like corvettes of course, i just think you gotta look at the picture as a whole

yeah but the chassis is much more appealing for the 370z . plus , they have done a better tuning / setup for the vq37 . seems like the 350z is much more like a prototype car . kinda not ready to be on sale yet .
