I like it. Very retro and to me it looks like the bird keeps escaping and that is good.

I like it. And while it doesn't look like the bird is in the cage, it looks a bit like the bird is running from the cage. Kind of an amusing take on that concept.

Actually it looks pretty good!
When you see the cake on the turntable it looks like the bird is just a little too big for the cage.
Spin ratio to light strobe is obviously difficult.
Don't be so hard on yourself, you did a very good job!
