just to tell you, i have once made it on the first level to wave 734. yes i did cheat, but all that was 0 mana for creation of gems. AND all i used was traps. one trap had a damage of 1003-4342. a prisimic gem grade 19. i died. :( well, eventually i would as there were swarm monsters with around 500000 health... that was mean. so i died. evil giants eith over a million hp!

say btw, if the next gemcraft does come out... i wish they'd have a thing that just merged every single gem you have into one super strong gem.. imagine that... you could get like a lvl 80 gem xD

Currently im doing a 228 run (its the map with the gem of eternity in it, except i dont bomb the gem, i beat all of the waves in it first, which is 228 waves) And it takes me 20 mins to make 1 Grade 20 Gem. SO thats 40 mins for a G21, 80 mins for a G22 160 mins got G23, Etc. It would take a really long time to get it that high.
@therealjordiano They will have something like that in Gemcraft: Labyrinth. You can find out what you want at the gameinabottle website and nav to the "GCL latest features 2010.XII.10" area
If you first transmute them to the same colour, and then use shift+g+klik on gem, you can autocombine them, helps if you want to create pure gems really fast.

You could get more max mana if you did not used the increase mana pool skills. This may sounds weird, but if you have 0 skill points invested in this skill, your mana pool will increase with 1k everytime. When you hit the limit for the cost of increase mana pool (which is 95% of your mana pool) you will start making profit of it:)
And as you said, this was before version 1.20 indeed. so 0 points in mana pool s actually cheaper once you passed about 100k mana limit, since you only need to pay an addictional 950 mana per upgrade.
And what about prismatics? is a lvl 12 (or any other lvl) super-prismatic gem better than a super R/Y of the same level? For some reason my prismatic had a much lower max firing speed.
I am a relative newbie to these tactics. I can set up a decent mana farm and make supergems, earn some hundreds of thousands of XP (lag makes it annoying as hell to play with hundreds of monsters).
The question is: Should I upgrade my strongest gem(s) above level 12/13/14, or should I use lower level gems to supergem them? And which level gems should I do that?
Of course, if I have my mana pool filled every second, I use lvl 6, but before that I'm not so sure which is worth it.
@ulegh actually, there is a way to disable them. go into the menu, and set the rendering quality and vix particles bars all the way to the left. really helps to cut out the lag.
I know, and as you can see I have already done it. But with 100+ towers and traps and well over 1000 monsters it will lagg alot even with none on vix and low on quality.

ulegh had a high wizard level when starting this( 40 is probably the absolute minimum to pull this kind of stunt if you know exactly what you're doing)
The first level are really hard to get, but once you got about lvl 40 (like fractalgem said) and you know what you're doing you can pull off something like this.
Actually, with the current version you can get alot higher scores since there is no limit to the mana pool any more.
And I died early here. I left the game running over night and the monsters killed me. :(

We're not using pures and duals. we're using the power of prismatics. I've run the numbers-a prismatic (with optimized specials, at least) is almost as efficient in terms of mana/damage, but much more efficient in terms of damag/click-especially with mana pools reaching millions regularly.
well yea i used to think 10b on a wave was good, then 100b, then 200b, then you introduced 500b possibillity, then munch is getting 740b but by the time he kills it his multiplier will make it over 1t, so now i also plan on getting over a trillion points on a single wave
well hesgot some munch_22 photobucket album but just scan for his recent post, hes done 3 games in the last 20 pages but his current one is only like last 4-5, also hes getting around 3/4 of a trillion score from wave 91, 90+91 combined will get him a trillion score alone because ehs got 90 atound 250b if u count his 250 multiplier when it dies

I posted my save game to pastebin(dot)com/m5c81a45a for proof. IIRC, I was on wave 100 or so when I decided to end the game. All but 2 towers were lvl 11 O. All traps were lvl 10 O/R. After getting all of my mana gaining towers/traps perfected, all waves were angered to 5-10 million life using lvl 12 gems while I worked on my two super gems. Both super gems ended up having over 2 million max damage (with yellow, lime, and red as last 3 gems to increase those specials).
No. You keep getting the mana upgrade over and over. Your multiplier keeps getting higher and higher. When I had over 1 million mana, I would quite constantly get a full bar of mana after 7 frames. This remained constant regardless of whether I had 2000 or 10000 monsters of the map. Adding 8000 monsters (or 16 waves) had no noticeable affect on how much mana I was gaining per wave.
The last level is different than endurance mode. Banishment costs are very low and there are only 228 waves.
Before watching your videos, my highest score was 2x10^8. After getting some ideas from you and practicing, I was able to beat your score by playing the last level. It took a week of spare time to finish my final attempt. Surprisingly, I was able to get a score of 2.2x10^12. I stopped a little bit after beating the score of the highest player (which was 2.15x10^12). Unfortunately, it won't let me submit my score.
Is it just me, or did ArmorGames remove the high-score list for GemCraft0?
The banishment cost will grow faster then the mana multipier at some point (quite soon).
But it's possible to hold monsters in prismactic gems (or other gems, but I think that prismactic are the best combonation). Then you can hold them for ever as long they have more armor then your max dmg (from traps).

Yup, that is true. Without slowing down the game it's impossible to spent all mana once you got a decent mana multipier (x30 or higher).
But on a slower pc you can spent mana better then on a fast one. First because you have more time to react and second because you can give orders faster then the game can handle (then the game also stop running, works with super gemming on slower pc).
so you use a hack to get more time in between? using this im positive i could beat teh final part but it would feel a bit wrong, id love an actual 29th skill allowing you to slow down time between waves by 10% per lvl meaning at maxed you have 2x teh time to spend but i may try if thers no other way
Changing the speed of the game doesn't fundamentally change the gameplay. If you slow the game, it slows EVERYTHING. In addition to waves coming slower and moving slower, you also regain mana slower and your gems shoot slower. Basically, this is the same effect as playing on a slow computer.
i kinda get supergemming, like stacking a grade 15 with tons of grade 6s but that takes too much time
on wave 150 when im getting 500k mana every 5 seconds wouldnt i get more mana output by mass combining, and yes i do supergem grade 11s till about wave 70 when the mana becomes unspendable....is there a faster way to supergem tho? can you sort of shed some light on this subject
There are ways of slowing the game down, the one that is the easiest is using cheat eniginer's speed hack. So you have more time for spending the mana. ;)
Maybe another good idea is super gemming and upgrading your mana pool. This way you get more dmg output and more mana gain...
There are more then just 2 hidden lvls, but you need to beat the map (that is selected to unluck the hidden lvl) at herioc mode to unluck a hidden lvl.
You should consider adding commentary the next time you upload a video. (After the video is recorded, add audio to it telling us what you are doing and why).
But it's hard to tell what I do all the time, because the next video I plan to make will take about 30 hours of playing.
Also I haven't any thing to record mine voice so I can't do that...
I probably will add some music to the videos but I have a problem. I can't replay the music I recorded with hy;percam. It's a .avi file and I have windows vista.
just did it! there are 228 wave on final battle, i dindt beat all , i beatup to abuot wave 160 then jut called all, ended at 228 i took pic, let them all out and blasted with final gem bomb and won, also made a grade 19 gem, almost 20, new goal is to beat last 60 waves also and beat the game in a sence
yea but it still counts as kill chain, i got 1581 all at once and it counted hehe, also tehy updated mana pool to only max out at 95% ur mana so u can get ovr 300k mana if u want now, u said theres less tha 512 on final battle? 512 = 2 ^ 9 so id assume if thers less its 256 wave(2^8) if theres only 256 i could win just maybe
they do die, when you use the final gem bomb on the gem of eternity all the monsters die, u dont get xp or mana but u still kill them all and get a realy long kill chain
but have you seen the finaly map? its just a huge spiral well beyond 50 im talking the gem of eternity map not a normal one, this is a good 80+ ill count sometime going for wave 512, i can get there i know then when i use the final gem bomb on the socket all the monsters will die giving me like a 5k kill chain, thats what i did i 212 and got 1518 kills at once, i wish i cuold vid but i could take a pic or something of wave 512 or even 300+ if i get there, my comp lags so much tho
I know, I was talking about most maps. And the last map has the longest road in the game. And I believe that the last map had a lower number then 512 waves.
And I think that you're using a glitch. Because the monsters should not die!
i reached wave 212 just off having a full set of around 100 orage traps and low banishing cost in the final battle, coulda made 300 but got bored but yea u gain more manna than banish cost, i saw a giant monster on wave 210ish wiht 1.7b hp
yeah...and where is the cheat engine window? It's impossible to gain 230k mana in first 50 level of endurance...also buliding so much tower and traps...asshole
Ulegh's strategy deals more with pushing each individual wave to its limits, effectively maximizing the number of monsters killed, as well as mana and experience gained. I don't believe he aimed to last an extraordinary number of waves, but rather to push the experience gained to its max.
Ulegh, finely played. I'd like to see you complete an edurance battle to its end, if that's even remotely possible. I don't know if it is, but it's some hundreds of waves, so it'd be quite the feat. =P
Yes, I didn't try to gain a very high wave number. Btw, this was mnie first real big game. So I made a few mistakes (because 1 I died at wave 55) and I have now better strategies.
Endurance has, if I remembered right 512 waves. At wave 110 it has already 10 mill hp each monster (depent on witchs map). So, just imagin how mush it would be at wave 500+, billions or even trillions of hp. That is just to mush to handle...
i recommend you to try it on a (just) yellow/red level (if there is such a level) + Endx3
u can get orange gems thru mastery... it takes some time at the begining... but afterwards you will have great time advantage in combining (also damage adv...) with mass combine... all for now... good luck : ))

well hesgot some munch_22 photobucket album but just scan for his recent post, hes done 3 games in the last 20 pages but his current one is only like last 4-5, also hes getting around 3/4 of a trillion score from wave 91, 90+91 combined will get him a trillion score alone because ehs got 90 atound 250b if u count his 250 multiplier when it dies

It can probably even better....
If you just add a few grade 6 gems to a pure you get more total dmg. Because 300k + 300k dmg is less then 600k dmg when combonated.
And the armorgames tread has 150 page and I don't want to read the alst 20 pages:p What page I can find the final screenshot(s)?

I got a trick (which isn't tested yet) what can give me over 10 million max fire power + specials around wave 70...
And this was a long time ago, on an older version. I haven't seen other games with more score on this version. ;)

A lvl 55+ gem would be impossible, even if you can combonate 100 gems per milisecond, it takes over 5000 years!
And this game is only like 1 year old...

i question your playing, you have scored 2 trillion on final battle which is possible, me and munch and a few others could manage it, but you claimed to have a wave of 1600 giants at billions of hp that you killed iwth a grade 55 gem, thats either a hack or a flat out lie

But yes, I used better strategies. This was my first big game ( over 1 mill score) and it was on a older (harder) version.
If you have enough free time and make no mistakes, over 1 trillion score will be possible!

lordterror56 would you explain whats at that link, i examined it closer and its a wall of text/script for something but im not sure waht to do with it, its got a "gc0save" or something at the start and end.
is it a picture or what im suspecting that you actualy saved the game since a pic would be as simple as a link but this is a massive wall of what could be your whole save game, if it is can i see how to look at it because a wall of text does me no good, and also if so how did you save it?

did you beat all 228 waves( i plan to) and what kind of firepower did you have? ill have 105 prismatic traps wiht 100k max dmg(tower dmg so only 20k trap dmg)

I posted my save game to pastebin(dot)com/m5c81a45a for proof. IIRC, I was on wave 100 or so when I decided to end the game. All but 2 towers were lvl 11 O. All traps were lvl 10 O/R. After getting all of my mana gaining towers/traps perfected, all waves were angered to 5-10 million life using lvl 12 gems while I worked on my two super gems. Both super gems ended up having over 2 million max damage (with yellow, lime, and red as last 3 gems to increase those specials).

No. You keep getting the mana upgrade over and over. Your multiplier keeps getting higher and higher. When I had over 1 million mana, I would quite constantly get a full bar of mana after 7 frames. This remained constant regardless of whether I had 2000 or 10000 monsters of the map. Adding 8000 monsters (or 16 waves) had no noticeable affect on how much mana I was gaining per wave.
The last level is different than endurance mode. Banishment costs are very low and there are only 228 waves.

Before watching your videos, my highest score was 2x10^8. After getting some ideas from you and practicing, I was able to beat your score by playing the last level. It took a week of spare time to finish my final attempt. Surprisingly, I was able to get a score of 2.2x10^12. I stopped a little bit after beating the score of the highest player (which was 2.15x10^12). Unfortunately, it won't let me submit my score.
Is it just me, or did ArmorGames remove the high-score list for GemCraft0?

I think it may be possible to get a score of over 1 quadrillion on the last level:
-Fill the entire map with lvl11 O towers and lvl10 O/R traps by level 50.
-After level 50, remove all "supergems" so you stop killing. Anger waves 50 and on until they have 1 billion life.
-Get mana upgrade over and over. Banishment costs will never be a problem, as your rate of mana increase increases with mana upgrades.
-After several months of getting mana, put a supergem back in the map and kill everything.

The banishment cost will grow faster then the mana multipier at some point (quite soon).
But it's possible to hold monsters in prismactic gems (or other gems, but I think that prismactic are the best combonation). Then you can hold them for ever as long they have more armor then your max dmg (from traps).
But I think nobody has that mush time to waste :P

You must be in gem bombing mode.
You must hold shift then click 1 and then click where to drop a bomb. As long you hold shift, you ae in gem bombing mode.
This special mode also works with other keys (like tower building mode = shift + 2, fast combing = shift +3).
All those keys can help to increase your gameplay and can save alot clicking.

you can click faster in comparison allowing you to create faster gems rather than have millions of mana you cant possibly spend you slow it and spend all the mana

Yup, that is true. Without slowing down the game it's impossible to spent all mana once you got a decent mana multipier (x30 or higher).
But on a slower pc you can spent mana better then on a fast one. First because you have more time to react and second because you can give orders faster then the game can handle (then the game also stop running, works with super gemming on slower pc).

so you use a hack to get more time in between? using this im positive i could beat teh final part but it would feel a bit wrong, id love an actual 29th skill allowing you to slow down time between waves by 10% per lvl meaning at maxed you have 2x teh time to spend but i may try if thers no other way

Yes... I could use other medthos of slowing the game down but this is just way easier.
And I don't change the game itself, I just change the playing speed.
You could also make alot other programs running or give alot comants to slow the game down. I rather use cheat enginer for this. ;)
Btw you don't creat more time between the waves, you just play the time slower.

Changing the speed of the game doesn't fundamentally change the gameplay. If you slow the game, it slows EVERYTHING. In addition to waves coming slower and moving slower, you also regain mana slower and your gems shoot slower. Basically, this is the same effect as playing on a slow computer.

Not 100% true, on a slower pc everythings slows down (expect made the clicking speed, it depents).
With using that programm, you can stop the game, but you can still give commants (like creating a grade 15 gem will the game is stoped).

i kinda get supergemming, like stacking a grade 15 with tons of grade 6s but that takes too much time
on wave 150 when im getting 500k mana every 5 seconds wouldnt i get more mana output by mass combining, and yes i do supergem grade 11s till about wave 70 when the mana becomes unspendable....is there a faster way to supergem tho? can you sort of shed some light on this subject

There are ways of slowing the game down, the one that is the easiest is using cheat eniginer's speed hack. So you have more time for spending the mana. ;)
Maybe another good idea is super gemming and upgrading your mana pool. This way you get more dmg output and more mana gain...

There are more then just 2 hidden lvls, but you need to beat the map (that is selected to unluck the hidden lvl) at herioc mode to unluck a hidden lvl.

just did it! there are 228 wave on final battle, i dindt beat all , i beatup to abuot wave 160 then jut called all, ended at 228 i took pic, let them all out and blasted with final gem bomb and won, also made a grade 19 gem, almost 20, new goal is to beat last 60 waves also and beat the game in a sence

yea but it still counts as kill chain, i got 1581 all at once and it counted hehe, also tehy updated mana pool to only max out at 95% ur mana so u can get ovr 300k mana if u want now, u said theres less tha 512 on final battle? 512 = 2 ^ 9 so id assume if thers less its 256 wave(2^8) if theres only 256 i could win just maybe

Yes, I really like the verion 1.20. Now you can upgrade mana pool as mush as you want. The higest I had so far was 400,000 (without mana shrines).
I also notice it's cheaper to get a high mana multipier without enhashed pool skill.
It's still a kill chain, but you killed them with use of a bug (I call it a bug :P).

they do die, when you use the final gem bomb on the gem of eternity all the monsters die, u dont get xp or mana but u still kill them all and get a realy long kill chain

It used to give exp, so they fixed it.

but have you seen the finaly map? its just a huge spiral well beyond 50 im talking the gem of eternity map not a normal one, this is a good 80+ ill count sometime going for wave 512, i can get there i know then when i use the final gem bomb on the socket all the monsters will die giving me like a 5k kill chain, thats what i did i 212 and got 1518 kills at once, i wish i cuold vid but i could take a pic or something of wave 512 or even 300+ if i get there, my comp lags so much tho

I know, I was talking about most maps. And the last map has the longest road in the game. And I believe that the last map had a lower number then 512 waves.
And I think that you're using a glitch. Because the monsters should not die!

i reached wave 212 just off having a full set of around 100 orage traps and low banishing cost in the final battle, coulda made 300 but got bored but yea u gain more manna than banish cost, i saw a giant monster on wave 210ish wiht 1.7b hp

yes, the hp grow fast. 1.7 bill hp is hard to kill, but like 10 of them is nearly impossible.
100 traps sound like alot, most maps don't have mush more then 50 trap spots...

Nope, this isn't impossible.
I use now even better strategies, with them I can max out mana pool before wave 25 (and probably even morw ith mana tap shrine).
It might seem impossible to you, but it's not. Also, I didn't use cheat engine or any other 3rd party program.
And why not build that msuh towers and traps? This way (because the traps) I get alot mana and I can kill alot monsters) (due to the towers).

That was due to a bug, for some resone a few gems got stucked with red/black color and some of them where changing all the grades..

Ulegh's strategy deals more with pushing each individual wave to its limits, effectively maximizing the number of monsters killed, as well as mana and experience gained. I don't believe he aimed to last an extraordinary number of waves, but rather to push the experience gained to its max.
Ulegh, finely played. I'd like to see you complete an edurance battle to its end, if that's even remotely possible. I don't know if it is, but it's some hundreds of waves, so it'd be quite the feat. =P

Yes, I didn't try to gain a very high wave number. Btw, this was mnie first real big game. So I made a few mistakes (because 1 I died at wave 55) and I have now better strategies.
Endurance has, if I remembered right 512 waves. At wave 110 it has already 10 mill hp each monster (depent on witchs map). So, just imagin how mush it would be at wave 500+, billions or even trillions of hp. That is just to mush to handle...
But it might be possible to play till wave ~300.

i recommend you to try it on a (just) yellow/red level (if there is such a level) + Endx3
u can get orange gems thru mastery... it takes some time at the begining... but afterwards you will have great time advantage in combining (also damage adv...) with mass combine... all for now... good luck : ))

I already chose a map where I try getting this score:

It's has 3 times mana shrine and 2 times exp shrine.
It has Cyan , Blue and Yellow gems. It's is some extra combonating, but this map is great.
Also it has a very long patch and x3 mode.
If you know a good map with yellow/red, feel free to tell. ;)
But map #45 seem like the best map I found so far, so I'll try this on.

Yes, I have different kinds of gems on there.
Mostly grade 11. A few grade 12s and probably 1,2 or 3 grade 13s.
So you're right.
I didn't place really high gems on the field, I rather use them for angering (= more score).
