You're absolutely correct...especially cRap music which the powers that be in the music industry are going out of their way to promote to White kids. If it's not that, it's lame Britney Spears-type pop rock and other pathetic sounds coming from MTV or commercial radio.
I'm a 19-year old musician and a uni student. i LOVE 80's music, but as much as i want it to come back i know that it cant. the world's political status and outlook on life has changed. as much as i hate to say it, the amazing music of the 80's will remain a memory in the minds of those who are old enough to have contact with it. if 80's music came back, it would not be popular because of the way the world has changed. look at The Darkness. A great band, but they flopped after their debut album.
Exactly!! i'm 16.. and totally into the Glam Rock (hairbands) and stuff. i mean... come on... that stoooopid hiphop and the other sucky music.... IS NOTHING,,,, This is real music to tha bone!!!!!
i wanted to write a little more but i ran out of room! The Darkness are a great example of 80's music attempting a comeback. They were a great band, yet because of the way music (and the world) has changed, they failed to make a real difference. Glam is slowly coming back though...i mean, if you look at emo and glam, emo fashion is simply a darkened, evolved version of glam. the hair is a little different and the music is completely different, but there are still traces of it!
Umm, if this was Yngwie "fugue" or "aria" or "sonata" might work, but this is Ratt, and none of thee guys would know what that word means (and this is not even an inadvertent fugue). This is a common time, straight-up rock song.
And Buxtehude was doing fugues years before Bach was, it was just Bach who PERFECTED them. =-)
Warren's a great lead player dude but...go listen to your RATT albums. He ran out of riffs after 'Invasion...'!! But this, this is just a great tune from one of the best albums ever to come out of LA!
Ronaldus Magnus started this video in one of his old black and white movies...then 30 years later he ends up in a RATT video..too funny. The Soviet Empire was the focus of evil, rock was HARD, girls were tough, men in bands wore make-up...oh-yes. The good-ole-days. How I miss-em.
The girls certainly were tough. Hong Kong action movies started to feature more kick-ass women. Michelle Yeoh, from the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies, kick-started her career in 1985 (the same year as RATT's Invasion of your Privacy).
Gee jorbelo can you be anymore of a moron? Considering you were only 10 when this album came out, proves still that you have no brain.Being 33 with no subscribers, and watching almost 3000 videos, and having no appreciation for good 80's Metal, only leads me to believe that you are nothing more than an asshole crying for attention by critizing videos you watch purely out of boredom.Go get yourself a pocket pussy and occupy yourself so you don't continue annoying the rest of the world.
dude juan croucier is a complete legend i love his jumping around and his so called dancing, hes the only glam metal musician taht i like when he does it, the others just look completly retarded, juan suits it
Ratt's most conceptual videos were Shame Shame Shame, Back for More, Wanted Man, Round and Round, Lay it Down and Dance.
The reason they mostly did concert footage videos was that it was cheaper and quicker.
I think the video for Body Talk (despite it's hyper-speed slow motion cinematography) should have been more conceptual with there being like, say, shots of beautiful women (for instance, ones at the Playboy Mansion).
I hate alternative/grunge. Nirvana is definitely the most overrated band ever with one somewhat good song. Ratt is definitely better. Listen to the "Lay It Down" intro. Classic.
Hell Yeah! You can keep all this new alternative generic rock shyte. Ratt rule, it's a shame they never got the same kudos as Van Halen & Aerosmith, their clearly in the same league
