Your all wrong about the name. Baghdad ’s Route Irish is actually named after the football team of the University of Notre Dame, called the Fighting Irish. This follows the tradition of naming the Main Supply Routes (MSRs) and Alternative Supply Routes (ASRs) after sports teams. In OIF II my unit patrolled this route and got fucked up in the process. My unit, a National Guard unit, was the only one that had the balls to go out and really patrol this route because it was so dangerous. After my unit cleaned up this area it got the name Route Irish. I do boycott Israeli products when possible, but this is an interesting case, as the film apparently does not explore the Palestinian issue at all. Trailers are usually a bit stereotypical for any movie now, even if the movie itself is "more" than what the trailer simplifies it and describes it to be. I thought this looked like it could be quite an engaging movie.
