@DLynch2010 Thanks! Its in standard tuning -- that it is played on a mandola not mandolin makes it seem altered? In the USA the mandola is tuned like a viola CGDA (or a fifh down from the mandolin (GDAE like a violin). The scale length is closer to 17" on the mandola as contrasted to 14" for the mandolin. In Europe I think a mandola is tuned down an octave instead of a fifth? -- not sure. Yes, its a great tune! Deserves a better name?
Hi thanks for the shout! It is a good song -- seldom heard I'd say as the title is not your every day thing(<: It works fine on the mandolin too and Harvey Reid goes in the Flowers of Edinbugh from it -- I kid you not!
Very cool tune! I like! Also like that Gibson Mandola. You have quite the collection from what I can see. Very nice! You have good right hand technique. You keep it moving. I need to work on that.
Thanks for the kind remarks. I have enjoyed your offerings as well -- I agree with you we should all keep on picking -- for sure. It sure beats most other things you can do with your time!
Great old mandola. Love it!!

Thanks for the comment. Yes if the song happens to have another name this might be the time to find it!
By the way last night I realized that last month someone else has posted a fiddle version of this tune -- under the same name -- amazing!
