  • Nice work, that Stihl 460 Magnum.

Looks like cutting yourself a slice of ham... :]

  • cant wait till o get mine screw these other ass holes i like your video

  • u r gay

  • Nice video, can't beat the sound of that 460!

  • Oregon LPX and LGX are Top Chains 3/8

  • hujowo!!!!!!!!!

  • look how nice and clean it is and look at it now hahaha oh well good to see it got its use:)

  • yep thanks bud

  • no problem man

  • 20 seconds....I think I could almost take you with my stock MS360, 20" bar, and a sharp chain....just looking at the way you're bucking the log. You're engaging most of the bar in the log. I buck by starting with a horizontal down cut...moving to a vertical position...then a down cut to finish. I think it's more efficient at clearing the chips...and (as long as you've got a sharp chain) I do mean chips, not dust. Happy loggin'...

By the way, the USPS is looking for their mail bin.....

  • the chain was new out of the box log was very dry that is how i always bucked up till now funny thing is about the bin the usps gave the damn thing to us

  • so it had that shitty green chain on

i run a lp on my 372 it is a fast chain

  • no it was a used chain on the saw

  • wat type?

  • rsk

  • @tshhardcorner

that doesnt sound efficient at all.

  • I want it.

  • it is even faster now

  • Hey man, do your homework before you go saying stuff like this. Not only is Stihl the #1 saw in the world among Professionals and Homeowners, but they are also NOT sold at any chain store such as WalMart, Lowes, or Home Depot. Husqvarna is sold at the chain stores. Husqvarna builds good stuff, but not quite like Stihl. Also, nobody stands behind their product like Stihl does. Look at the thousands of individual Stihl dealers. Some stores exist just to sell Stihl tools. Don't agree? Prove it.

  • thanks bud i love my stihls

  • Ha! If you have a good saw and a sharp chain, (oh, and a working brain like mccormickchainsaw does), you could cut that log with your eyes shut!

  • @DanielJaegerFilms i never seen this one thank man i owe you one

  • because look at it look at the size of that wood..like holy fuckk

its something ude see on tv like the great out doors games witht the chain saws and ax's and stuff

  • i could see why you would think that but the log is only 22" in diamter it is really small watch my falling 32" maple with stihl ms460 now that is a big tree

  • huh i just cut a 42" 100+ ft. tree and I'M twelve i almost craped my self when my dad said alright ill take the small one u take one "what" but i got it down and am still fine (phew) nto to sound like a show off but just sayin

  • nice man should have got a vid

  • i wish i had a cam but im tryin to get a post up only need a cam

  • omg..that is like something ude see on tv.. or somethign ude say isnt real

  • whys that

  • I need to buy a chainsaw to cut few trees behind my parents house bc my piece shit craftsman doesn't work any more (but used it for 5 yrs and cut few tress with it). This video making me tempted to buy a 460 but I would be too much for me. I'm thinking about buying the 290 Farmboss, do you have any advice?

    nice video.

  • well i also have an ms 270 400 dollars i think some were around that and i felled timber with it for 2 years and it never failed 290 is a good saw but pushes 500 bucks need more help p.m. me

  • Man, that's one SWEET saw! Stihl makes the BEST chainsaws, don't they?

  • by far the best thanks for the comment take care

  • your 460 is awsome chris and that cut was very fast :)

whats the first model saw you got when you became a tree feller ?

  • my ms270 i was in a bad accident pulling logs to the landing and could not run a real big saw for a while because of a hurt arm

  • ms 460 is a nice ass logging saw! ca'nt wait for mine!

  • hope you love it as much as i do

  • ever run a 361 0r 390?

  • if memory servevs me coreect yes i have run bothreal good saws they are

  • mine is 20 inch. ms 290 super farm boss.

  • there are good saw i run one just the other day loads of power cuts real fast

  • what a 290? i need a big saw too cut down a

27 in oak in my yard do u think a 290 can handle it? p.s. do u think a 460 will kickback with a 3/8 rsc3? that time ur 270 kicked back how'd it kick back did it come straight back or what? i think with a rmc3 or a rsc3 3/8 it would'nt kick back! may cut down the oak with my grandeady's mcculoch timber bear saw but i need a pull cord too do so when i cut it down i'll send u a vid!

  • if you know what you are doing on your back cut cut from one side to the other like you would cutting up a log bigger than the bar length but you have to cut equally on both sides and hell ya the rsc will kick back they kick on me all the time rmc3 will not

  • yes RS as well as RSC will kick but those kick back can be much lower.

    It is so:

If you are going to cut some hard wood, the middle chain teeth angle which has normally about 65 degree can be recharpened lower but not too much.. the onset of the teeth become smooth and they will cut easyer in smaller pressure.. This technique is not so important in soft " light" wood. The chain can strike under the pressure...and don't sharp your depth teeth too much.

  • p.s. when u used a 290 what chain and what wood,and diameter?

  • i beleive it had an rsc chain i was in 26" or so oak

  • Yeah I have an RSC chain on my ms250. I was impressed with how it cuts. I put it in some really hard wood too.

  • is it customized?

  • not yet

  • I see you upgraded.

  • i sure did and i ove it

  • Still just cutting fire wood or are you doing full on logging now?

  • little bit of both more logging than firewood the snags were felled on the job had to set my block to be felled

  • great video and fantastic saw.

  • thank you

  • np. how big is that bar? i have 20 inch on my 290 farm boss stihl.

  • 28"

  • kickass...:D STIHL RULES

  • i have another proccesing now and i am going to upload more later you will have to watch them

  • Nice saw mate. Good to see you use the safety gear.

  • thank you

  • Nothing like a Stihl!

  • thank you for the comment and you are right there is nothing like a stihl the best made
