  • @zyzxxinfinity for a Drakengard sequel! Nier was amazing, but not enough!

  • For those who keep coming back to the world of Drakengard, Square Enix just recently filed to trademark "Drakerider" and "Blood of Chaos"! Hope and pray

  • If they make this an anime, I'd bet it would of done better.

  • A flawed, but relentlessly enjoying game, the cinematics were so gorgeous!

  • WTF this was my childhood game and I still beeping love it. Cannibal babbies wtf.

  • Word, I've always been keen on how twisted and deep and weird this game is. Spoiler alert: the latter endings involve the world being torn apart by hordes of giant, electric, flying, cannibalistic, grey space babies. And their mum.

  • ¿at the end inuart says "No more gods we are freee" or "No more god we are freaks"? i dont remember the subs xD. Such a good surprise i have with this game, one of my favorites.

  • @Zvaigzne000DC I always thought it was Noble Gods We Are Freak, like he was saying to the gods that everything was freaking out.

  • Best fucking game ever!

  • This is still, and always will be my 2nd favorite game of all time (technically it's tied with FFX at #1, but between both I have to favor FFX more). I love it so much that Caim's pact sigil on his tongue is the first tattoo I ever got. LALALALALA...THE WATCHERS!

  • 1:15 jesus what weapon was that and how do i get that?

  • @MrStraw77 The sword is called "Moonfire". It's one of many badass weapons at your disposal in the game. It doesn't glow red until you fully upgrade it though, giving it lightsaber status! (More so, the sword is also in the sequel Nier but is called "Moonrise" instead.) Google it, or better yet, PLAY THE GAME!

  • @zyzxxinfinity i have and i also just bought drakengard for the 5th time

  • @MrStraw77 5TH TIME? I imagine there's a story behind that! Well, keep it this time, and try and collect all the weapons. It's the only way you unlock the final 5th ending, by the way.

  • Can anyone give me a link to a LP or Walkthrough to this game?

I can't find one for the first game and it's eating me alive. I love this game so much. :c

  • @TheLmfaoMovement Check the LP Archive. There are also LPs of the game's sequels, there. As for walkthroughs, there is at least one at GameFAQs.

  • @TheLmfaoMovement A person named the Dark Id did one. Just google, "Let's Play Drakengard Dark Id" and you should find it.

  • Bought this game on release day, not knowing what kind of game I was getting into. In the End, I fell in love with it on got all endings. Havent played DG2 or Nier yet...

  • @valentinog Holy Shit youve never play DG2, i could care less about Nier cuz the story just aint like the drakengard series (my opinion) but yes this game is badass and the first time i played it i got majorly addicted, btw DG2 story isnt as evil or fucked up so thats the only downfall to it

  • @valentinog I hope in the 3 months since you wrote that, you have played the crap out of both Drakengard 2 and Nier, and unlocked all the endings for both!

  • @zyzxxinfinity

    Not even close. No time!

  • 1:39

    WTF

  • at :34, does he end up killing that dragon?

  • @Khachik2003 Nope, they make a pact and kinda merge their souls into one since there both mortaly wounded its the only way to survive

  • @Khachik2003 The dragon is called the Wyrm, and obviously it's defeated. You wouldn't see a fight against it otherwise <.<...

  • @zyzxxinfinity he could decide to let it live obviously..

  • @Khachik2003 Have you played the game? You'd understand why that isn't an option if you did.

  • @zyzxxinfinity I wouldnt be asking that question if I played it, now would I?

  • @Khachik2003 Then why are you here and not playing it? And why ask such a random questions. Man, where's Caim when you need him...

  • i loved this intro, you had to watch the first opening and wait untill it came up with the start screen and then wait a little longer to watch it but it is truely epic, the gameplay isnt anything special but the music and storyline well make up for it. havent played number 2 yet need to buy a new ps2 since my old one shit itself recently =( thanks for the vid

  • I dont get it, even though Caim struggled to save the world with any means nesesary, he still turned out to be a villan in Drakengard 2 :S its still a great game, though i found some of the plot ideas disturbing cz i played it when i was 13

  • this is the reason i bought ps2 i think

  • Ok, I came here from another video. Heard there was a baby eater elf, a pedo, and saw flying babies... wtf is this game...

  • This game was so much fun back as a kid, but now looking back you really realize how fucked up and gruesome the story and endings are. All in all, a great game.

  • @daTselle yup, he's a blue dragon in 2 and one of his upgraded forms is the black dragon. The game explains he's the same dragon towards the end in the Book of Seeds. It's not very clear to me why he's basically in a downgraded blue form in 2 though, but I have some thoughts about that. Anyways, yes that's him.

  • what's the song?

  • omgi forgot about this game lol i dont remember half the stuff im seeing in teh trailer but i do remember i hated the ending because you have to kill your dragon :( hard ass fight

  • Speak not the watchers.

    Write not the watchers.

    Call not the watchers' name.

    *__*

  • My favorite game, hands down and probably always will be. The characters are all sooooo messed up.

  • oh i love this trailer :D

  • 0:11-0:17 wew Legna!

  • I miiss playing this game.... I miss Furiae..... i cried when she passed away... all the hardwork just to get her..!!!! grrr.... pisses me off...

  • allow him to pay the hurt gratitude and love.man that voice is so cool

  • what is this shit man???? you must be fucking kiddyng me man

  • YES YES YES YES Found another Game, I must order, Soon, I am on a Search for All the BEST past year games, FF10, Tales of Symphonia, everything, and this Kind of game really apeals to me! :D

  • looks depresing

  • Bought drakengard 1 and 2 and i'm so happy enjoying the game, it reminds me of sword of the berserk gut's rage, it's a shame they removed content from the original jap game, i never had a game with fairies, goblins, elfs, and hordes of medieval troops this is pure epicness, who cares if the gameplay its repetitive still its fun to play and that's what matters besides the cinematics look so great feels like playing a movie, i wish they had the original jap covers tho, i also love the game's long!

  • i played this game before. i cant get the last ending....its too hard =(

but i still love the story it has though

  • is this game only on ps2?

  • Loved the story, though admittedly, it took a couple of playthroughs for me to really grasp what was going on entirely. A shame the gameplay and vocie acting was horrendous. Could've been one of the best.

  • @CarbonBasedAndroid Voice acting horrendous? Sure seems far above average in this trailer.

  • @QwoPhasaArius Have you played it? If not, you should. It's a decent game, a little repetitive but decent also you'll see what I mean.

  • I wish they make Anime/Manga series of this :'(

  • i remeber this game, i only played it once and i got half way though until i gave up, now that i look back, i sucked at video games as a kid, now that im much better i want to play this game again

  • Crazy game with an even crazier story. I just wish the voice acting was better. Angelus had the only decent voice! :P

  • @Vicky100296

    Caim's was pretty good.

  • @Tim3888 Aye, too bad he only had a couple of lines before he lost his voice! :D

  • what a mind fuck of a game

  • This is my first introduction to what is now coined the dynasty warriors formula. And I do not regret playing through. I can say that much at least. It is an enjoyable game if you allow yourself to enjoy it.

  • i have a working cd . who wants it??? you want it buy it.

  • Yes I wanna know the name of the song too :(

    Nice trailer anyway :)

  • @BDaDennis Growing wings check out my page for the full song.

  • @sandersrms thanks :)

  • PS2 is teh chest full of endless unknown win.

  • @BARULICK I know exactly what you mean! PS2 is such a great sequel to the eternal system known as PS1

  • most annoying voice cast ever

  • they must make a film about this its so cool :D

  • This game has such a uniqe story. Caim's life was like a Shakespearean tragedy and an epic peom mixed together. I love this game so much.

  • what system is this on it looks awesome

  • @brolyspet playstation 2

  • Hey guys, for those who played this game. I just bought the 2nd part. Would u recomend me to play the 2nd part without having played at the first one? I've read the first part story but guess it isnt enought If I trully want to understand what's going on.. gimme ur opinions please! thanx in advance!

  • This game is so epic. :( Wish Square Enix would make a new one (a prequel atleast). D:

  • @ChaosXUnleashed the new game " Neir" is based after the drakengard games

  • :( But its not the same.

  • I love this game to death, sadly its impossible to find!!!!

  • @budds: pssst....Gamestop's bins or PlanetX has it~ Imagine my disappointment when I bought both the first AND second only to find that our PS3 wouldn't play it. ,_m I was DYING to hear demonic Manah and have endless hours of fun leveling all the weapons up. *sigh*

  • @Rawrschachie I share your pain D: I tried 3 times to buy the game at stores but every game's cd was scratched! And when i tried to buy it online it would mysteriously go out of stock!!! Dx

  • @DaCoolKids this game gave you chills with the story line, and it had some the best voice acting of any game ever made.

  • How the hell does Legna defeat Angelus in the 2nd when in the 1st she beat him twice while he was in his chaos mode!? WTF!

  • Ughh... My CD broke so now I have to go on a quest to find this game all over again...

  • Wow, this game looks REALLY good, i remember hearing about it once, but never played it. Now I'm kinda sorry i missed it. My PS2 is busted and i don't have a PS3. If anyone knows of a PC version, or anything of the sort, I'd love to know of it. It looks very much worthwhile, especially plot wise.

  • @Senkiatzu it's unkown so I'm pretty sure they didn't make a version other than the PS2

  • y have this for ps2 (Drakengard I and II) and y love play

  • I thought this game was perchasable on PS3 store?

  • this game is a masterpice of story, the gameplay its repetitive but i really dont care, another thing remarcable are the characters, they are so original and deep i really dont like much the second....

  • this game is VERY repetitive....but i still love the shit out of it!!! this is probably my favorite game of all time, well actually it comes after ff8 but its my second favorite. i love it!!! havent played the second one yet though

  • Great game? You people serious? I've never fallen asleep playing a game until I popped this game into my PS2. I was so disappointed. The story was alright, I'll give you people that. I think it was a mediocre attempt to combine an RPG with dynasty warriors gameplay. Loved the dragon though.

  • This trailer lacks "lalalala" =(

  • @RamzaSilverburg yea a lil lalalala would be better

  • @RamzaSilverburg SPEAK NOT THE WATCHERS

  • AWESOME TRAILER!! I could watch it over and over again forever XD the music fits perfectly with the story.. I'm playing the second now, and its awesome, the first its downloading XD

  • This is one of those games that changed my opinion on how a game should really be made. The story was outstanding. I would have to say in my top five of all time. The voice acting also sucked you in. I still remember in I first heard Inuart cried out for Furiae. It gave me chills. Also they made one of the best in game relationships between Caim and Angelus. The first endings all I have to say about that. lol

    Make a 3rd!!!!!! Dx

  • @Tank6060 isn't the game Nier in the same universe?

its made by Cavia who made D-gard 1 and 2

  • @Tank6060 the only problem with them making a 3rd is that Caim and Angelus wont be in it :(

  • there are a couple of videos on here that you can rip the audio from using a tube to mp3 converter, just search for it

  • and the story did give way to a bit better gameplay in the second one..., just depressing in the second one, i nearly cried

  • LOVE BOTH OF THEM! Both have so many twists in the storyline plus hours of gameplay after the missions. Does kinda get boring seeing the same landscape for alot of the missions. Even now they are my favorite games

  • Got the both of them, and i love them D:

  • Waiting on the announcement of a third any day now...

  • one of the very best games

  • OhMigosh!

I saw this game at Gamestop for five bucks and buy it, when I get home, It's not this one, it's the sequal!

    I want to play #1 first !

  • message me if you want to know how to get the other endings on this game and ill tell you

  • Or you can always google it.

  • One of my favourite games of all time, I will treasure it forever. Also one of the reasons I will never get rid of my PS2

Also has one of the best storys of all time in my opinion

  • @PantsOfAcid Then play Nier to see how it ends

  • @Semidioz Yes indeed I will, as soon as I get a PS3 :P

  • @PantsOfAcid Hell yeah. The best fuckin story ever. Square Enix outdid themselves.

  • @PantsOfAcid some of the older PS3s still run PS2 games(just so you're aware), my sister's fiancé's PS3 is older so it runs ps2 games, the difference between the older and the newer PS3s is that the newer ones spin the disc in the opposite direction

  • @PantsOfAcid

though i find the gameplay fucking borring after few hours

and the story is the same as Evangelion had which i personaly hated.

but i still loved the game

  • @PantsOfAcid

You should Play Nier. Its a sequel to the 5th ending of this game.

  • well if you leave the title screen up youll here wicked voices like a spell or chant before it cuts to a trailer

  • ive playd the 2nd game,

Should i pay 5 hours of work to buy this game or not?

    (btw Drakengard 2 ROCKED)

  • DEFINATELY I haven't played the second but this game is purely epic.

  • has any one here ever just left your title screen up for about 8 mins? ....DO IT SEE WHAT HAPPENS

  • this game looks awesome! can somemone tell me what system ths game is on.

  • playstation 2 =D

And I've also heard it's on mobile phones, but that sounds stupid o.o

  • yeah that is weird....but i would so play it on the phone XD

  • i fuckin luved this game when i played it

  • Why are you commenting/watching it if you hate it so much?

  • this was a pretty awesome game. very underrated.

  • omg i love this game and i could never find it!! &the first time i played it i was ten and i rented it* but two days ago for my 16th birthday i finally found it and bought it!! im so excited!!!

  • Oh my God it took me forever to build up all the weapons. Hymer's Finger and Kingsblood are the best weapons. Reading all the stories that the weapons have took a while too, and there's only one happy ending in all of them, lol.

  • Japanese folks make the best of games ever. Intriguing poetic and cutting edge stories never been told before. From MGS4 to Final Fantasy and I remembered playing this on my PS2 all day and night when school is not in section of course.

  • Comment removed

  • @fnvcdt

Though I mostly agree (Since most western games are FPS) once the Westerners decide to make a Story-Driven game, they are AWESOME. Off the top of my head, I say Dark Fall: Lost souls, Fallout 1 And Fallout 2 (3 is good, but it's got an Excuse plot, Disgusting for an RPG)

  • i have this game =D

  • And the laughter at 0:05 of this just shows how serious this is. But it is just the laughter itself...I love it. I do not mind going through the repitition of the game play. The background comments help some. And the dragon's voice is rather suitable.

I am still weary about Drakengard 2. The demo was not convincing enough for me to buy it off the bat. Would anyone suggest I purchase it?

  • Drakengard 2... I think it's a good purchase. The gameplay has been improved somewhat from Drakengard, with the result of making the game easier in the beginning, without overall reducing the difficulty from the original. Story-wise it's a little... brighter, maybe, unless you read the weapon histories, which got darker, and often lead on from or are based off a history in Drakengard. I'd say it's a worthy successor to Drakengard.

  • Blast. I should have snatched it when they had the buy 2 get 1 free sales at Gamestop then. >_>

  • There will be other offers. Alternatively, Amazon has quite a few second-hand copies listed.

  • Has one of the best storys ever!

  • I loved the little kid's voice actor hes in litteraly any cartoon and video game everything hes in is awesome I can't think of his name

  • this would make an exreamly epic movie

  • Provided it had a good director (aka. NOT Uwe Boll) it would make a good two, possibly three, movies. Either that, or just make it into an Anime series (which, in all honesty, would probably be the best course of action).

  • no western director could make it into movie I guess...

  • they were thinking of a Manag in Japan about the few years/months before the game. i don't know if they pulled through or not.....

a movie would be nice, yes. but i think it would take away from the experience. lets face it, movies get boring if you watch them too much. games you can go back an play again and again and again it it will give you a different experience each time. (especially if you hit a glitch XD)

  • Then they will need to make several movies just to cover this game's occurrences and story itself. And I have just the idea of how to do it.

  • The ending in this game was fucked!! I am not going to spoil it. But if you play it it will leave you unease. This trailer makes it seem like a cute fantasy game

  • I Know!! ive never finished it (borrowed off a friend) but i played it when i was 10 ears old and i was just weirded out and scared... but it made me feel so damned aggresive!! To this day iam still looking for my own copy! at the age of 16 it might be better!

  • Best of luck to finding it. I have the first one and do not regret buying it. I am also glad that I came across the demo before buying this.

  • I love this trailer. :D

Also, if you're still looking for the song, I have this version and the toned down version with just the piano. Message me!

  • awesome!

  • I honestly think if some of the stuff cut out wasn't than i think this game would ve recieved more attention. However yea the game did need to be worked on more like the reptitive land parts. I did enjoy the dragon parts though. The story i think was decent. Its not a bad game it's just not great

  • that 's Great!!!

thank ~ vergil about the song you have made it more special than it has used to be

  • I LOVE this game...im guessing the second one isnt coming to america..?

  • The ridiculously repetitive gameplay is exactly why this game is unknown. Rightfully, for once.

  • its just groundfight, cut scene, dragon fight, ground fight, cut scene, dragon fight, ground fight, cut scene, dragon fight, ground cut scene....arghh...it would be amazing if it wasnt so repetitive...it hs a great story line

  • Thats not why is a brilliant game though. Its treasure lies in the storyline which is what I think one of the best stories out there

  • Spikesrage, firstly let me say that I like the storyline, however, by simple logic a game needs more than a decent storyline to be memorable.

The storyline is furthered by plot developments. To see these developments (via cinematics, expositionary cutscenes) you FIRST have to subject yourself to monotonous and repetitive combat. Bad mechanics will make people quit playing before they appreciate the storyline, which sabotages the whole game.

So Drakengard is a game with unfulfilled potential.

  • I don't want to argue about this but the game was memorable even though the game play wasn't the greatest. If that wasnt true no one would remember or love this game.

  • I guess Im the only one who liked the game as whole...

  • so true

  • @Spikesrage ikr. one of my friends friend's walked in while I was playing and said it was one of the stupidest games he had ever seen and I couldn't find the words to tell how brilliant it really was

  • this opening gives me chills up my arms its an evil game

  • i love draqons .

&& ive played Dragoon Panza Orta .

i had it a LONG time ago .

can u tell me wat game system this game is on

  • ps2

  • thnx

  • Furiae? Furiae?!?! Furiae!!!!

    Furiae!Furiae!Furiae!Furiae!Furiae!

    Fur... i...ae...Fur... i...ae

  • I loved that part XD

  • i luv this game

please cud some1 tell me how to get the green sword or wat it is called at 0:48

i really need it srry 2 bother u

  • Its called the Slaughterism and I think you can get it on chapter 10 verse 4 or 3

  • The first one was definitely better but the sequel isn't too bad

  • did the sequel come to america or just europe?

  • i saw this on tv and wanted it right away and the next day got it

  • please can someone tell me the names of the weapons in this clip the green and red swords

  • great game but sad and somewhat creepy

  • omg, best two games I've ever played, very sad, made me cry, and leaves you wanting more,

  • this game is awesome... really... for the ending? isnt there 5 different ways that it could end? jw...

  • the first ending is the real one going by continuity.

the rest are just..things that could happen if things worked differently.
