@dorplein62 I am not sure how to answer your question because I am not sure of the term rendable. If you mean is it still profitable, the answer is absolutely yes! On average the machine uses less than 1kW/hour. In most areas of the US that is a little over $2 per 24 hour day. Please note that to make this system have a better return on investment, most customers also find a valuable use for the meal that is produced in addition to the oil.

Thanks for this video. I just planted a test crop on my farm in Central Texas. I hope to see if my jatropha will survive the winter, and also if my water well isn't too alkaline. Last, I am curious if rabbits will damage the plants. If the test goes well, I will plant more crops in Spring 2009. Look for my Jatropha video on YouTube in a few weeks.

Jatropha oil has a low glycerin and saturated fat content. It is often burned in diesel engines as SVO (straight vegetable oil).

What's this figure of 6.2 on the LCD on top of the machine?

It is the RPM of the screw. In this vid we had the machine running at only about 20%. If we turned it up, oil shot out 360 degrees a good 2-3 feet from the oil port holes.
