I know all to well about coming up on some one not paying no mind to whats going on it takes a little more effort to try to avoid people who turn in front of you when you are responding in older trucks like the one my dept has a 1964 GMC fire engine with out power steering it takes a while to stop it too

FIRE TRUCKS DON"T HAVE REARVIEW MIRRORS because You can't see any thing in the newer trucks because the cabs are closed cab not open!

The ladder pumper combo I drove was 80,0000. You don't assume anything but the worst reaction from other drivers.

See many people I passed with that behemoth horns blairing that looked like they needed a fresh pair of underwear.
