  • Goosebumps !!

  • Beautiful Arrangement , Wonderfully played. Love to find the arrangement for our community band, Of course we need a symphonic band arrangement or at least one that includes woodwindsl

I Love to listen to Grimethorpe Colliery, Blackdyke, and the Cory band among many fine British Brass bands.

  • @801Altoid I agree. Names like Grimethorpe and black Dyke are in themselves enough to let you know you are in for a rare treat. tThe great brass bands of the North of England are among the finest musical ensembles on Earth. That is not hype. That is a plain fact. All you have to do is listen to this for evidence.

  • This was the second track I had to play for a friends baby brothers funeral, bless him as he in now free from all the pain of this life and is no doubt walking in the air and in peace God bless you mate - “Whenever the maroon beret is seen on the battlefield, it at once inspires confidence, for its wearers are known to be good men and true" - Field Marshall Lord Montgomery

  • Grimethope by far the best brass band in my opinion! We practised the snowman to the hilt last Xmas in my band, lovely piece of music always but I never knew there was an extension to the Aled Jones' tune! Walking in a Winter Wonderland ...arrangement is fantastic. I play baritone by the way :)

  • lovely bita sop there :')

i would love to play that flugel solo aswell...

  • @pilchard96 i have the pleasure of playing that sop part in a few days ;)

  • @danielwills93 lucky ;) Tbh, i dont think there is a part i wouldn't want to play in this arrangement - maybe not percussion...

  • @danielwills93 I also play sop part for my Brass Band, really a great piece to play, Gotta be done right or the atmosphere is spoilt.

  • Wonderfu, wonderful, wonderful

  • I too love the sound of Grimethorpe Colliery Band after first hearing them do the music on Brassed Off. I own several of their albums now. The only reason I came across Brassed Off was because I was looking for the song Floral Dance, which I was learning on the recorder at the time. Funny how one thing leads to another. And of course Walking in the Air is a beautiful piece. Hopefully I will be able to play it just as well one day...

  • This is fantastic! What a melody and what a brilliant performace by the Grimethorpe!

  • Absolutely beautiful, and fits in so well with the video. Well done!!! Thanks for posting.

  • The music is simply sweet. Grimethorpe's got the most beautiful sound among brass bands.

  • ive sang with these XD

  • I heard this band for the first time when I watched the film, "Brassed Off". I'm a fan, now.

  • who's the doughnut

  • no one is a doughnut, because a doughnut is an inanimate object

  • You obviously know nothing about music. Hope your mummy finds out youve been playing on her computer and makes you go to bed early, preferably with a slap first.

  • The arrangement is lovely. One of the best I've ever heard for a brass band,

  • It taken from the animated film "The Snowman" (1982) based on Raymond Briggs' children's book of the same title. This is the scene where Howard Blake's song "Walking in the Air" is sung by Aled Jones.

I think the brass band performance blends nicely with the visuals.

  • what film is this clip from

    btw the music is beautiful
