  • i really miss my 1961 Sunliner....the top went down so fast and she handled like a dream.....we had a Thunderbird V8 and nobody could tell me i wasnt the king of the road.....and of course my special license plates....."61 SUN" loved them too!

  • That is one very serious car. Ford made beautiful cars in those days and this was a damn good car.

  • The Starliner did sell--to the racetrack types--but the boxtop Galaxie Club Victoria sold better. In fact, the 1961 Ford brochure said the Club Victoria was brought back "by popular demand," since the Starliner was the ONLY two-door Ford hardtop sold in 1960. No matter...the '61 Ford was probably the nicest looking Ford until the '63 model!

  • '61 was the last year for the Starliner...they just didn't sell next to the square-roofed Galaxies....

  • wonderful design for the time but like the 1960 Ford, they too suffered rust problems.

  • Great video! Makes you feel as if everything's right in the world- just by owning a 1961 Ford!

  • Thank you for posting this. Makes me miss my old Galaxie.
