  • yeah, he just got a load of props from me.....this guy...is a poet....and obviously, he knows my situation....because this is it, verbatiom.....wale....now in my top 10 lyricists...

  • I saw him preform at the fillmore and thats real hip hop he was displaying the skills of a real MC and I know half the crowd went to cop his album if they didn't already have it and@purdue I understand you he does rap like he's not really on rap like he just does it as a hobby

  • wale's the shit! hands down

  • like wale said people r stingy with their attention spans or jus feel every record they buy to HAS to be nothin but punch lines and off-topic lyrics. in my opinion this was the best album of 2009. YEA I SAID IT

  • @aarondoug1 -- that`s exactlyy how i feel. wale is one of the bestt outt there in my opinion. he has the deepest, realestt lyrics i ever heard.

  • TUFF!

  • see this is hip hop fuck tht other bullshit niggas need to speak tht real shit

    -Dreams-

  • wale is good stuff

  • THIS SONG GOES BEYOND HARD!!

  • Rolling Stone gave his album 3 out of 5 stars, it should have got 5 out of 5!

  • O WOW!!!!!....(Standing Ovation) 10/10

  • great music i love wale is real

  • luvvvvvvvvvvvvvv it

  • Thiisss sonqq iiss Toughh! LOve iit!

  • - fave sonq evr .

  • You couldn't make it so all of your videos had a 4 second delay at the beginning?

  • WALE IS RAW ! those lines he's been saying at the end or close to the end were.. wow..

  • This IS One Of My New Fave Songz♥

  • this song is ace. gotta love it when rappers produce humble songs that we can relate to like this one. beautifully written music and lyrics.

  • This song fits me so perfectly

  • Real hip hop... wale is legandary. Wale, J Cole, Lupe, Drake, and Wiz Khalifa are the sickest MC's out right now. VIRGINIA REPRESENT!

  • Some deep shit man!..Big up D.C.

  • based on the theme song of ' amelie'

    nice :)

  • #thatthing

  • tight song wale is beast

  • hell yeah wale and marsha dis song is hot ole girl did dat

  • story of my life

  • This song.... wow.

  • listen closely at the start that nigga is eating lol

  • damn, the way the beat sounds is so soothing, and the lyrics wale spits is hella hard....damn, he does paint lyrical pictures. too ill

  • this just make the tears come!

  • Kid Cudi, Wale, Drake , and Chip Tha Ripper.

  • fuck drake

  • j. cole, and wiz?

  • damn, this song made me think...shoutouts to wale; attention deficit was tuffff

  • Attention Deficit was so on point, and this song is sooo good. Wale, J. Cole, Gunz, Drizzy, Ash and most of the new cats are gonna be hella good!

  • i this whole beat / flo / rap all sound like nas does

    Wale is damn good

  • this is true poetry

  • this is a great song im going to put it on repeat

  • listening to just the background music, i dont think many wood think he is all that great, maybe just another pop rapper tryin to hit mainstream, but this guy is for real. he may be the next great thing to hit hip hop. hes legit.

  • @emol24 . he wont make it sry. good rapper but media doesnt listen to this

  • @ra611594 maybe media should suck one and quit - this is REAL hip hop - not that Soulja boy, "trap" bullshit

  • i know a lot of people dont like him anymore but back in the day Kanye West songs were the shit. Listen to homecoming drive slow diamonds through the wire and some more of his old shit. he is one of the best lyricists. if his mom did not die then he probablly would still be but now he just sings about sad shit.

  • @bmaneatplenty2 Lolsz , he do be singin about sad stuff x]

  • @bmaneatplenty2 errr....i get pissed when people said that cuz its like he took a one album brake. he's back to hip hop on his next album.

  • Nice.

  • omg. . . the lyrics are beyond relatable. wale might have just became my fav artist

  • @VivaLaGlamXOXO

As I was listening to this cd, the same though crossed my mind. Love this guy!

  • his nice/ nicer than brake/ drake/ whatever

  • Wale is a very underrated lyricist, probably top 10 in the contruction of a verse right now, but his flow is lazy, like he bored with rap already like its too easy. If he delivered with the same excellence as he contructs his verse, he'd be in the very elite.

  • @purdue2009

    exactly wat i was thinkin

damn he gotta be more energetic

  • couldn't agree with you more.....iWhat truly makes a rapper great is the delivery....take lil wayne for example, talented rapper that right now isnt really on top of his game lyrically but the way he delivers will make some of the wackest shit come hard....All the greats had the ability to make shit seem harder than it really was with their delivery

  • If you guys love this, listen to Center of Attention off his album, it's AMAZING!!!!!

  • if yall like dis check out these up and comers divine victory! good stuff wale!!!

  • dam after listening to this a couple of times i gotta give props to wale he did his thing. much respect.

  • if u guys like this song, u might appreciate expression crew's marionette performance.

  • this is going to get FAMOUS

  • this is my shit

  • this shit go hard

  • Real Sauce. R&B singers don't even talk about ish like this. All I hear is getting ready/having sex, wanting her to take you back, and trying to get another girl. I'm not trying to generalize R&B because I know its some(many?) out there who don't.

  • this is hop-hop Wale is slep on wayy to much

  • uhmm... well... the beat reminds me of "La Valse d'Amelie" :D

  • That's cause it is...he sampled it! (:

  • this song hits when youve been in a situation like that. <3 it!

  • I knw a female that can relate to this song and at one point I could too

  • for anyone who's looking for a pretty good rapper check out B.o.B, he's from the North Carolina area (few good songs: I'll be in the sky, Created a Monster, Champion)

  • @SabinRules7569 and nothing on you :)

  • Don't forget Generation Lost, and I think its called Lonely People.

  • forgot about those ones, i just named a few off the top of my head

  • And do you have the stigma

  • wale is the best out now other then drake

  • wale much better than drake... drake good but not the best... wale, charles hamilton, bobby ray, kid cudi, i like mike posner.... lupe is the best, lyrically no one can touch him

  • Lupe is a God lyrically, yeah. But there is many just as good: Slug from Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Blu, Fashawn, Sage Francis...

  • @LittleMyki i cant even disagree wit ya on this...Drake do go hard but from all the stuff Wale spit its somethin everyone can relate to and he not sellin out...Drake not either but yeah u see where im aimin and that whole list except charles hamilton i fux wit...and idk who mike posner is but bobby ray that boy jam foreal cudi do too and lupe is one of my top fav. rappers but indeed though

  • naw drake selled out

  • doesn't it make anyone mad that real shit like this is AMAZING but "whatcha say" is the fucking featured video?

  • nah your boy bangs is da best new artist check him out... BANGS8!!! take u 2 da movies no1 hit

  • kid cudi is real.....but i gotta give this guy props

  • Wale is the best new artist there is

  • @kwakuthekid08 wale is beyond ok wale gotta crazy flow and lyrics u go listen to family affair by wale and its similar to that joe budden song but its way better

  • The over your shoulder thing is from a Nickolodean show Drake and Josh..im mad at that lol

  • great lyrics amazing beats

  • wale is ok..for everybody that thumbed me down thinking joe budden sucks..please go listen to three sides to a story..i listen to wale and made an honest opinion. so listen to joey..then tell me he suck....matter fact listen to all of me and three sides to a story

  • Fuck you?

  • loving it. Isn't this sample from the french movie amelie?

  • luv the chorus

  • naaa...MF doom is a lyrical genius

  • Damn Its nice to hear hip hop with substance again. I almost gave up on tryin to find new artists to vibe to because I just thought hip hop was lame now. But at least there are a few cats bringin that real hip hop back. Goodlookin out Wale. A very dope CD. Appreciate it. LYRICAL EMCEES R BACK

  • more like a lyrical genius

  • Never paid attn to Wale but this song is dope

  • Hot song but the acoustic version sounds better

  • this ma shit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Marsha Ambrosius makes this song knock.

  • 3:31 = ILL

"everyday that goes by, there's a cpl more lines in her diary. The day b4 is better than the present. so anyone presented in her presence endures these LiFe SENTENCES"

  • acoustic cool but i still like this one..... just me lol

  • LISTEN TO THE ACOUSTIC VERSION!

this song is so poetic it brings a tear to my eye

  • i like the acoustic version so much more

  • <333

  • dupont circle's athem

  • Mos Def favorite track from the album.

I wish they would make a music video for this song. I know it would turn out really dope.

  • Irony.... I heard this song today in while in the car with my ex, still in love with him so I was lost in translation for a moment... I agree Wale is the truth, truly refreshing

  • the poem at the end was one of the best ive ever heard in my life....."anyone presented in her presence endures these LIFE SENTENCES" that was the hardest double meaning ever... ppl hes the truth

  • I love this song the lyrics are soo good.. whats suxy is, the fact that probally the reason why the album didnt stay at the top is becuase unlike most of the shit thats out right now, it's not over produced and it's not as catchy and stuff. he didn't sell out, and i am soo glad he didn't hope he nvr does and i hope that thouse ppl who think this album is crap look up the lyrics and compare it to the lyrics of a song like party in the USA.... i think ull find it anit that crapy after all

  • people really debate about if this is a good album but ppl just bein stingy his album is nice

  • favorite song in the whole cd

  • real nigga talk

  • wale omg thank you for this refreshing hip hop

  • great song- i agree w/ Romez15, the acoustic version is off the chain

  • so many women I know need to listen to this track...I love it, Wales topics on tracks are SO UNBELIEVABLY refreshing!!!

  • See all i ever want to do is be relevant just tell me that i ever meant anything or that you could ever see me and you on another light but its like the dark winter doors darkest nights by the wrong men mostly all of them have made you some what incapable of a first impression what i do is channel my aggression with no cable or antenna just intentions to impress you; incapable, hoping that the material possessions can materialize to a better you

  • you need to hear the acoustic to this song !

  • its the shit

  • I love this song, this is a hot tune,

    Craaazzzzyyyyyyy

    Wale u the hish

  • Chose a great song to sample. Fits very well. Makes me happy.

  • one of my fav tracks

  • dis song goesss!!!

  • yo. you are definitely on point, am joe budden number one fan if only he knew, thisis real talk, he would smash this beat. the chorus is aite thou

  • shut the fuck up

  • if u think joe budden will smash this then u hav no idea what this is about

u think we wanna hear sum idiot rap and say hmmm a 1000 times

thats y he ent neva gon sell

wale is fresh joe budden need to learn from him

  • u clearly did not listen to a word he said

  • How is the beat wack? its insane! And wale goes HARD! Definately the best newcomer rapper to come out since Lupe Fiasco. But Lupe is rapping good enough to be compared to the G.O.A.T.S perhaps even better like some of his shit is Rakim status. I agree with dbeezy Kanye West was def one of the top of his game during CD and LR some of the most soulful shit i heard for a long time. I also disagree about Eminem being godly. hes good not amazing like i think that new Nas is lyrically better than em

  • wow!

    thats all i can say

    : )

  • This track is sped up a bit.. i got the mixtape and it isnt this fast

  • Comment removed

  • damn............ proud of him. rep DMV

  • To the idiot that want to make an insult about this song. Instead of focusing on the beat how about you listen to the lyrics to the song so you can understand it. You say you want HIP HOP and then when someone bring HIP HOP to the table you focus on the beat and not the lyrical content. This song is nice has a good meaning to it. It makes me mad when people bytch and moan about bringing hip hop back and dont listen to the content but judging the beat.

  • i totally feel you...Wale gives real hip hop than people complain....its crazzii

  • I feel you mane. Wale is good lyrically and has a nice flow to match with his music. His flow goes with the beat and his lyrics are really nice. It's just like Nas, Eminem, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Biggie, etc. They're all lyrical geniuses. That nigga TheDev2g probably is one of those faggots that only go for beats and likes shit like Kanye West, who's a lyrical disaster.
