A beautiful 'home movie' of the greatest song about aging ever written. I'm sure John would be proud of this and I hope he's seen it. The song was always full of imagery and this captures it as I think we all see it. I've been trying to play this song for twenty years and all the faithful and heartfelt versions of it on youtube inspire me to keep trying. Thankyou guys and thanks to John Prine, a master storyteller.

@PhilBaird1 Thank you Phil. Comments like this keep us all going. Ian's guitar is impeccable on this, he truely has the roll down. And I just tried not to screw it up. This one was important to do "the best possible" and we are pretty proud of it too. Like you say, I hope John thinks it is alright. Thanks Ian. It is my favorite of all of the videos that I have posted. It came from a place I have trouble getting to...I wish I had mixed it a little differently, the piano is too loud and the guitar and vocal are too soft but you know what they say about hindsight. I am glad that you think that it is okay.

I just had to come back and listen and watch this video again guys. I love the music you two put together on this John Prine timeless classic. The imigry was very well thought out and put together with tenderness and care. the vocals were spot on and the of course Jordon still needs to teach me how to play the guitar for this song, lol

I love the way you two colabbed on this classic. Jordon does this song proud on the style of pick'n and cef, what can I say, vocals are excellent. Everytime I listent to this song I feel saddened yet hopeful, sad because of the way we treat our elders and hopeful that the world will change. Prine has touched deeply at the epitimy of human society with this song.

Another beautiful collab here ... I must say that this was one of my favorite tunes as performed by the Divine Miss M ... I saw/heard her sing it many years ago and never looked upon old people quite the same way anymore.

this is the second time i'm listening to this

i checked John Prine's version

and i like your singing a lot more and i'm totaly honest ...

your voice is so mellow and sensitive

and you sing with a lot of soul ...

and the keyboards add a lot

i think strings would have been a perfect addition for the song ... like as the song progresses strings come in ... but anyway great collab you guys did there
