@hidan407 totally. even though X Collection feels incomplete without x7 and x8, and i'm glad it only contained the first six. X4 and X5 were definitely the best and I think that X4 had the best X music ever. the boss select and boss intro songs were insanely epic. i'll never get over that.

@CheesecakeFarini well, can't tell for sure, but storyline changed after 6, for example X didn't want to fight, and a new character was introduced. In megaman x8, the final boss wasn't sigma but Lumine. That's why many people think the story ended in x6, and besides, it ends where megaman zero storyline starts =)

Hrmm...after obsessively watching X4's intros as well as X5's, these intros are too calm. There isn't that intense gusto from the narrator or the dynamic music, it's not terrible for me, but it's just too laid back. It doesn't hype me up, grab me by the collar and say "You're fighting Magma Dragoon..MAGMA! THAT'LL MELT OFF YOUR FACE!!! METALLLL GEEEAAAR!" to me. :p

I agree, the intros after X4 and X5 seem to be missing that "edge" in its style. It doesnt have any flare or hype you up for the stage. Its just bland to someone whos experienced in the megaman series. This game is kinda like..."Here's the boss...... -_-"

When it should be something more upbeat and kickass like in the earlier games (personal preference of X4) "Come and get me...RAWR!!" style.
