@speedconcerto wont be that hard no, considering they have basicly thesame intonation in whole scandinavia. The way they speak in iceland is basicly thesame way we all spoke in scandinavia before.
@Dreamwar Actually, the intro was derived from Edvard Grieg's classical piece, Solveig's Song, from the Peer Gynt Suite. He has other brilliant compositions as well, and is among my utmost favorite composers. This piece of his is simply immaculate, and it happens to be one of my favorites :)
Luego brilló un rayo desde Logafiöll, y de él salieron relámpagos; luego aparecieron, en el campo del aire, un grupo armado de Valkyriur: sus cotas estaban rociadas con sangre, y de sus lanzas relucieron rayos de luz.
@dvssk8er3 I suggest you start by learning the letters and how to pronounce words and verbs, then read through the texts and try your best to pronounce it right, then translate and learn through it :) studying icelanding here in sweden, so its not hard for me to learn as our languages is similiar. but still worth it, you can learn soo much :)
@dvssk8er3 YES! And I rarely try to decipher lyrics in songs if they're not perfectly clear; they just become another instrument in the song that adds to the beauty.
i love listening to this song while sitting on the cliff of this mountain, watching the sun set, near my house. it's one of the epic moments in my life. the gold sunlight shining over the landscape, a beautiful song.
coffee, 1.50$. munchies, 2$. cigarettes, 8$. a beautiful TYR moment a top a mountain, priceless.
For everything else, there's Master Card... I just remembered, I have a Visa...
Valkyries hunt: And few can hinder the destined death: By countlessness: Lessen the numbers of the honored ones: Grows the number of the Einherjar: The Valkyries fly out to the choosing(of the slain).
V. hunt: Many a dispirited man enters: The battlefield: High a fight: Stirs quarrels: The Valkyries fly out...
Valkyries hunt: When chieftains wage the art of battle: In vain: The valorous fall: Gain defeat: The Valkyries...
@aGeilini Thank you soo much I've looking for a translation for some time now. Can you please tell me wich language this is? is it Faroese or perhaps Norwegian?
I'm forever impressed by the work that Tyr can produce. Great instrument work; amazing vocals and the theme of our ancestors. These men are true modern Skjalds
Tyr has even stated that the band's music is primarily composed of existing elements and that the other band Heljareyga is the one with original pieces from head-to-toe.
Never the less, Tyr is one EPIC band. Powerful, Progressive, and Beautiful tracks. I love the vocalist's output and wish I had a voice like his - it's so out-of-the-world-like beautiful. The music, it's not like that typical prog garbage where one waits for the solo for epic guitars & it's damn epic.

From 0:15 to 0:25, sounds pretty much like Forever from Kamelot clean version, probably just a coincidence...
