  • I really love this video!!!! Great job.

  • I checked on iTunes and all I found was the French or Spanish version, where can I find the mp3 version of this song for FREE?

  • @moviedudeinc @huhongcogiaoduc There are plenty of sites that let you download MP3 files of YT videos. I use vidtomp3, but if you just Google it, you'll get plenty of hits.

  • how can i download the song in mp3?

  • @MidnightDreamer1313 Quasimodo gets married? noo! It's a title of Hugo's chapter. But it means Quasimodo comes to Esmeralda's grave and dies hugging her.

  • Ohh man Pheobus. His voice. Ffffff <3 I'm a sucker for those types of voices LOL

  • so. freaking. epic.

  • AWSOME AWSOME!

  • I only like the "old" Disney films. The new ones are bad.

  • notre dame de paris circa 1956

  • This is a wonderful video!

I used to watch this all the time. Its a shame Disney doesnt make cartoons like this anymore.

  • Gods I want to see this again. When I saw it I was in 5th grade, had no idea what was going on slept through most of it, and only realized aftrwards the similarities to the novel. Now I can't remember it and want to see it again.

  • i so love this video it so cool and sweet

  • I give Disney kudos for doing such a dark story, and even keeping a lot of the really dark undertones. I never really understood it when I was a little kid, but when I went back and watched it a few years ago, I flipped out and I realized what I'd been missing.

So, I read the book. And I fell in love with this story.

I adore this song, and Notre Dame de Paris. Claude Frollo's my favourite character, actually. And the play did him justice (:

  • @Cheyanneasaurusrex Oh my god same here! When i was 5 i saw it at a friends house and did not understand a thing, but i still loved it. I would sing Hellfire around the house all the time. But then in third grade i read the novel because i loved the movie , but then realized all the themes of lust and infedlity. And rape and stuff...FROLLOS MY LLOOVVVEE!

  • Pheobus sounds like a girl, But Frollo And Quasimodo Sound Great (Srry I dont know the English Version Singers)

  • The song is based off the French Canadian Play of Notre Dame de Paris. This is the Translated version of the song from the shorter-English play.

So really, this movie is a rip off of the book by Victor Hugo

  • lol great vid. Is it just me or does it seem like this song is based on this movie? (Or the other way round maybe?)

  • Okay, I haven't got to see Notre Dame de Paris (yet) so I was wondering if they actually kept Jehan Frollo in it. It seems like he's the one character that none of the adaptations keep. I guess because it kinda takes some of the hate off of Claude Frollo, but still... I've heard that this musical is the most faithful, and if they kept him in it, it would be pretty much perfect.

  • @maniamaster2 No Jehan was not kept in Notre Dame de Paris...but everything else is pretty true to the novel!

  • Good clip but,

The problem, how by all "belle" clips with this film: No Fleur-de-Lys)))

  • Great! I refuse to see the actual Disney film but love what you did with it (currently my favourite song )

  • @mangofrank35

The Disney movie is worth watching. It's not that bad... some of the music is actually really good. "Hellfire", if you're a Frollophile, is particularly enjoyable. ;-)

  • Poor Claude <3

I love the French version of Belle, but I like this one too!

    Wonderful vid! <3

  • I find French Frollo much more epic for saying Garden... It's just cracks me up, retarded no?

  • well, in my opinion the english version isn't that much worse than the original french, and the singers are the same, but phoebus still sounds better in the french (don't ask why^^). so i like your video :D

  • Comment removed

  • Well, after listening to the original French version, this one seems to lack 3 important things: the lytrics are loosely transalted (of course everything gets lost in translation), Patrick Fiori as Phoebus (this other guy is not that bad but I don´t like it that much), third, the sumptous and decadent feeling of French cadence over English. Still good.

  • LOVE IT!!

  • i cant found any mp3 of this song. is there anyone can help me ¿

  • i have the france version on mp3,ican send it to you.

  • it's rly amazing...

  • have you the mp3 of this song

  • Use Real Player combined with Total Video Converter.

  • keepvid. com And than Any video converter. Or search in emule.

  • Anybody know where to find a torrent for this song? The English version, not the French one..

  • "Without my God inside I'm just a burning shell" that's my fav fav line... but what's a shell? I can understand the whole meaning of the sentence, but not the word.

  • a shell is an outer body or covering. a shell of a person is someone who has no soul, only a physical body. they have no substance or personality to them, they just exist.

if you have ever read the harry potter series, an example of a shell is someone who was kissed by a dementor. i guess that the word that i'm looking for is soulless.

    hope that helps!

  • Ah yes, I know about the Dementor's kiss, that's right. I should have thought of it by myself ;-) I knew a shell was that thing out of a sea animal, like a crab.

  • This song makes me cry x'D

  • where did you get this song?

    I really love it!

  • Who sings the English version.

  • Garou as Quasimodo, Daniel Lavoie as Frollo (the same as in original one) and Steve Balsamo as Phoebus.

  • i like the voice of the last guy singing

  • beautiful!!!

  • i love this video it so cute and sweet

  • The video ever, so good,i love it and the song is perfect and go so well whet the video

  • i never saw this movie and never read the book although i have it, so who does she end up with?

  • She dies.

  • wow! that's ironic!

  • Well, in the Disney movie, she ends up with Phoebus. But yeah, in the musical she dies.

  • Disney movies always try to make happy endings, but I find that annoying sometimes...

  • It wasn't too bad in Hunchback of Notre Dame. It was dark enough. If they had it too sad, I don't think parents would've been too thrilled with it. xD

  • lol that's true...i think they should make a movie out of this, but exactly by the book

  • I agree =)

  • very good job !

    i luv it :)

  • Does anyone know where to find the French version of this?

  • just look up for belle

  • yeah .... i know why are you looking for it!!! the best one ;-)

  • that was SO well made xx

  • PURE AWSOMENESS (LOL)

  • Great timing

  • Absolutly fabulous!!!

  • Nice! They should've put this song in the Disney version(except for the dancing naked partxD)! What better than putting a "Notre Dame" song with the Disney Notre dame movie:)

btw Frollo sounds a lot younger in this than the Disney versionxD...

  • He is only supposed to be 36 or so. At least that is how the book describes him.

  • Perfect compilation.

  • aww<3<3

  • I love this song, and this vid

  • Great!!!!!

  • Finally! I found the English version.

  • This is good.

  • wow. the english version is dity!

  • Bravo!!!!

    Bravíssimo!!!

    Perfect use for this song...

No song had ever fit a Disney video so well... (except for the lack of Fleur-de-Lys)...

  • Frollo was the only one who through his fingers for her hair...

  • very good compilation!!

  • Gods! I love Harry Potter, but why people have to put HArry Potter in everything?!

  • Great video.

Could somebody make a video to this song, with Ron as Quasimodo, Draco Malfoe as Frollo and Harry as Phoebus? I think it could be really cool.

  • I love this song!

  • That was incredible! I love how all the male leads havw their own segment of song describing their love of Esmeralda. Beautifully done!!

  • when i hear the starting music i start to sing it in french lol

  • guilty! lol!

  • Is this another version of Hellfire?

  • Nope, it's the english version of the Song 'Belle' from the French Play: Notre Dame de Paris. Its much better in French. If you wanna hear it just type in 'Belle Notre dame' and the first one will probably be the french version.

  • in the Notre Dame de paris play, the other version of Hellfire is "tu vas me detruire" (or in english "your love will kill me" pls check both versions are on you tube, posted several times (including vids with scenes from Dysney).

  • Hi Naly! I want to reforce the idea that Tu va me detruire is a very good song and Daniel...well he is a great singer.

  • Oh I love this song!!! I actually saw this musical in Vegas!!!! I love it love it love it love it!!! Great video!!!

  • Good job. The original version of this song is absolutely gorgeous. The lyrics are so much more meaningful but the translation is nice too.

    Nice work.

  • Wow!!! Great!! 5 starts, kudos to you^_^

  • That was a great video. I prefer the french version of the song, but still fantastic. Doesanyone know who is singing the english version?

  • The English version is sung by Garou, Daniel Lavoie, and Steve Balsamo

  • Wow beautiful job. I loved how you flowed all your scenes with the lyrics. How can I get the English version of the CD? How were you able to get it? Please let me know. ^^;;

  • great video!

    5 stars

  • wow! that was so good! iv never herd this song before. is there a play of notre dame or sumthing? i loved it tho! wonderfully done. i assumed that the 'cross of human sin' thing was like questioning her humanity. because if she was a demon or sumthing she wouldn't 'bear the cross of human sin'. does that make sense?

  • This song is part of the English version of the French musical "Notre Dame de Paris" based on Victor Hugo's novel. The entire French show is posted on here if you want to see it. Unfortunately, there aren't many clips of the English version. A lot of die hard fans (like me) will tell you that the English version got lost in translation, and they prefer the French to the English. This song, however, is one of my favorites.

Anyway, I love the editing job of this vid. It's beautiful.

  • wow. I actually love this song in it;s italian and english version, and you did an AMAZING job!!!! As for: does she bear the cross of all our human sin", it's actually showing how far Frollo has fallen, it's an allusion to jesus and virgin mary, that despite her gypsy nature she has to be a saint for him to be so obsessed with her. Then he concludes she's from hell, but ah well... ANYWAY! it's wonderful!

  • Love this! i wish itunes had the song grrrrr!

  • What does "And does she bear the cross of all our human sin" mean?

  • I think it means pretty much is she Christian. Does she bear a cross of sin does she care if she sins.

  • I LOVE IT 10/10!!

  • Yeah, nice work, but the French version is much better!

  • I'd kill for a mp3 of this song.

    < 3

  • I think I know where you can download an MP3... actually, a few songs from the English version...

  • yay someone used the english version... the nly thing that lets the english version of belle is that it is far less risque which I beleive really is needed to show the sleeze of frollo and pheobus.. not so much quasiemodo.

  • Not a bad job editing, but I have liked it much better if you used the French version of the song.

  • *would have

  • I Justt LOVE ITT!! Excellent Job!! =]

  • That´s such a great idea, combining the cartoon and the musical :) THis is going to my favorites.

  • very very beautifly put together. that was amazing! i dont really like the english version, though.. the russian and french versions are prettier. and in the disney cartoon theres no fleur-de-lys...of course, classical disney with good endings. but this was very beautiful, it pu tmore soul into the sugared-over disney movie. thank you .

  • Well, Don't think you could have picked a better song. I was surprised to see there was an english version of it.

  • Great editing! The clips fit the lyrics almost preternaturally well. Moreover, though in my opinion the French version is much superior, the video did justice to the musical, even if in English.

  • not bad!

  • yeeah, I thonk I know this song, great vid...LOve it^^

  • I love how it all fit together very well. This is my favorite disney movie because they didn't totally tame the story. You can see in this video that all the real emotion from the book and musical was indeed in this movie. Awesome video!

  • simply beautiful!

  • Wonderfully coordinated ^_^

    5 stars!

  • yay for the musical. I wonder if it's the same Quasimodo as in the French original...

well done video, fit together so well.(esp. Quasi's part *lol*)

  • yeah it is

  • OMG this is great. I always wanted to hear one of the songs from Notre Dame de Paris. 5 stars!

  • You always do such a great job matching scenes with the music you are using. This video is my favorite of yours...it's so powerful. Wonderful job!

  • Sweet! Where did you get the song?

  • It was WAY too literal.

  • Wow. That was amazing!

  • That was exceptionally well done, the music fitted perfectly with the video and your timing with the lyrics was just right.

    5 Stars!

  • This was very beautiful video :3 It nearly makes me cry. All the sounds and clips you have made to fit together, expecially the part where Esmeralda plays her instrument.

    Adorable work!!

  • That was really good I loved it the song goes sooo well. Well done!
