Alot of folks don't realize how important a filter is to a synthesizer's character....just saying. In an analog context (unless it's based on a predecessor) every filter is unique.
ah... the plague of the anxious...just throw that thing together and get the fu@kin' ball rollin', afterall, the evolution of the mind into humankind is just what it thought it needed to do.
It sounds really good, the filters are awesome sounding. It's amazing to think a minimoog wil cost you thousands of pounds but you can make it yourself for a fraction of that, and even build upon it.
@metabog by the time you build a case and make stable musical oscillators with a keybed, you've actually spent a lot of time and money. if your not a keyboard player than I guess this type of thing is enough to accomplish your goals.
Talking about one making his own samples.. this guy is making his own synthesizer :D GJ! Btw are you into DSP and uControllers? 5/5 This thing gave me a lot of insight :)
Designing a filter is so simple that if you cant figure it out you shouldn't get to brag about it. Try google or wikipedia, want a few hints: state variable, sallen key, transistor ladder.
Very cool. I'm learning how to do stuff with bread boards and so on in my computer engineering class. I hope I could make this some time in the future.
