@BlaklyonZero why would it be? there are few objects in scene and he used image blur so really fast... plus you can see he's a beginner first it's only 3 sec which is the 100 frames default and second there is a tutorial to make just the same one!

I just thought it would be from was working with. I once rendered a volcano and it took about 2 hours to do! but that was 3 years ago and, my pc was dated and crappy. I'm guessing by today's standards this and other renders like it, can be done in a snap.

Yeah :) but were you blaklyonzero ? umm and i'm really amazed by the things they do real-time now... for example a scene using the same techniques can be rendered in few minutes but a good programmer can do it real-time .. amazing! :D

I tried the tutorial for this on Max11 (2009) and failed at the UVW Blend maps :(

regardless - it still turned out pretty decent, wish they added how to make a decent particle effect at the end
