Technically yes in 1969 Ford called them "Sports Roof." But they are commonly referred as Fastbacks, by car enthusiasts of all types. But lets "Get it right" your no car enthusiast, you probably don't have a car, your a douche bag who has nothing better to do than correct people on youtube. So...GO FUCK YOURSELF
Excuse you jackass, I happen to own a 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7. My father and I restore cars like this for a living. We have probably owned more classic cars than your whole damn family, on top of restoring vehicles that were sold at both Mecum and Barret-Jackson auto-suctions since the mid 1970s.
So before you open your mouth next time, take a more defensive approach before calling somebody out, when you don't even know them.
How the fuck are you going to tell me not to call someone out, when you are the one who called me out first on not using the technical name for a car? hypocrite...
nice car i have one same color 351c 2bbl but have steel wheels with dog dish center and trim ring needs restore been sitting in barn for @25 years bought from little old lady $300 husband bought brand has new has 40,000 mile original bought for son he's 16 now
I have the same car and it was GIVIN to me about two years ago from a guy I worked with, it was actually his wife's, she just wanted to get rid of it and she knew I would take care of it and restore it. It actually doesn't need much. Talk about steeping in SHIT ha.
@blue73mustang You shouldn't have. I sold my 73 mustang years ago because I needed the money - the most retarded thing I ever did because I could have came up with the money somehow. But that Mustang I'll never get back.
This brings back so many good memories. I use to have a 73 mach-1 when I was 17. Except for the spoiler, your car looks just like mine. I wanted a spoiler and was saving for one, but I got a girlfriend instead. Big mistake!!! I hope someday to have another one like my old blue mach-1. It had a 351 cleaveland under the hood. I really miss that car. Thanks for posting this video clip. It's great!
I sold mine over 15 years ago when I moved to Florida. Unfortunately at the time, Florida had an exorbitant impact fee for out of state titles. Mine was painted Grabber Blue and was completely restored. Sad part was the couple that bought it off of me totaled it a few months later. :( I miss her and have just now started looking for another.
What year was yours i think grabber blue was not offer in 1973 mine was medium blue as u can see I did some of the restoration myself and hopefully some day I'll find one as nice as this one.
The color on it was originally the Copper but the owner before me painted it Grabber Blue. It wasn't original, but it was damn sexy in that color so I left it that way ;-)
The last great year of the Mustang's before they went down the drain.

You mean you have a 1969 Mustang Sports Roof. That's what the title will say and they are referred as Sports Roofs. Get it right.

yes it is stock and you're right it's a low compression but on the upside's that you can use regular gas.
blue73mustang 4 years ago
is it stock? the downside to a q code 73 is the low compression due to the open chamber heads...
hollenjoe 4 years ago
God, this is a beautiful car. I'd pick this over a BMW M3 any day.
