  • seen em in buffalo 4 times. one of the greatest blues showmen slide player artist and straight up killing machine ever

  • I like trains.

    :)

  • Can't wait to see these guys play @ Bloomington in June!!!!

  • @CStrangeBlueticks Oh HELL yes! The Big Damn Band always gets a crowd worked up, but a crowd full of Hoosiers is usually nuts!

  • Just saw them last night at the Newport damn they were awesome!!!!!!!!

  • saw these guys last night, if your gonna listen to them u just have to see them live! they gave off such a good vibe in the room lol x

  • best thing to come out the great hoosier state in years!

  • They're incredilble! I have heard them on NPR'sd House of Blues Party and they rock!!

  • mannn i want this on my iphone cant downlaod the songs anywhere thoo =[!

  • I didn't know they are here in Rochester tonight...until today. I'm pissed I can't make it.

  • Youtube doesn't give them much justice. They are definately one of the best small time live shows Ive seen. Saw them in Flagstaff this year...really had the crowd

  • @hollidome1 True enough, although some of my other videos show them with more responsive crowds. This was their first time at the House of Pain, which is really a pick-up bar for the ad agency types in the River North area in Chicago. That they were able to get this crowd revved up at all is a miracle.

Look for my videos shot at Knuckleheads to see them at a real blues club. Or some of the crowd clips shot at last years Warped Tour.

    People were going apeshit.

  • @bigdamnfan My favorite version of this song is one that you posted where the train pulls in right in the middle of the song. That was epic.

  • thats so nice a friendly hello from England&....Wales

  • Hoe down!!! Even gets an old gal's feet a movin'.

  • geil,geil,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!

  • I saw them in Sturgis this year - they were friggin amazing!!

  • These guys are fucking awesome!!!!!! i saw them at warped tour awesome live show!

  • oooh man!!! hahaha:D:D.....so amazing

  • Just saw them at warped tour 09 in Calgary.. too amazing

  • Funniest thing was seeing a bunch of punk kids moshing to this band haha

  • The kids are their biggest fans. The Big Damn Band does for this style of blues what their label mates and good friends Flogging Molly does for Celtic music.

  • I know I'm not dissing, just commenting on how it was funny to see

  • No problem. Anyway, *real* punks could mosh to fricken opera!

  • Just saw the Rev. at the Vancouver, BC Folk Music Festival - Awesome!!!

  • Is he even using words? It's just a series of H-vowel noises. This is the greatest band ever.

  • Yes, there are words. Not a huge number of words, granted, but words never-the-less.

  • Regardless, it's still an awesome band.

  • Rev doesn't so much *sing* the words as gargle them.

  • The singer sounds exactly like Johnny Bravo.

  • coolest eveeeeer

  • The Reverend Peytons Big Damn Band

    GREAT MUSIC GUYSS....

    VERY INTERESTING =)

  • Washboard Breezy, damn heh :)

  • They're playing at the Berkeley in Raleigh Oct. 25! Can't wait! I'll add another comment here after the show!

  • Not the Berkley...It's at Slims Downtown S.Wilmington St, 8 pm, 10 bucks at the door.

  • Check out my other video of "That Train Song" - Now with Real Train!

  • just saw the rev at allgood a few days ago, and it was an awesome show. pure rock and roll energy.

  • Saw these guys a few weeks ago at Riverbend. It was the shit. Although, my mom makes better fried potatoes.

  • Thanks for posting these BIGDAMNFAN. i'm one hell of a big damn fan myself....and its good to have some vids to watch of rev since he's not gonna be in my neck of the woods anytime soon =(

IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN REV PEYTONS BIG DAMN BAND, THEY'RE A MUST SEE!!!!!!!!

  • I will get to see them thursday with the Woodbox gang.Otta be amazing.

  • Don't be late to the show. They are touring with Jason Webley and I saw him for the first time tonight at the Beaumont Club in Kansas City. He puts on one hell of a show and does a couple of numbers with the Big Damn Band.

  • been hiddin out in AL. foer a year man its good to see you guys doing so well keep it up n thank you....hippie rainbow farms..FU%^&&* the FBI!!!

  • that song is so bad ass! gives me goosebumps listening to it!

  • I think this is my favorite Peyton song.

  • Saw these guys in Richmond, VA last night, and they're unreal, just a hell of a good time. That man's got a voice that doesn't even need a microphone, just huge.

  • I was there too! They are incredible. I hope to see big things happen for the Reverend Peyton and family!

  • As a long time fan of the Big Damn Band, I have to say think you to Flogging Molly's fans! They are the best possible audience.

  • Saw them open for Flogging Molly at House of Blues couple weeks ago; was a forking awesome show! I wish this song was released on an album, as well as the song where they have the audience scream as loud as they can during the guitar breakdown. Was so much fun!

  • i was totally there,.. these guys made the concert!! both opening bands were unreal

  • Just saw flogging molly last night. First band was good, but these guys got everyone pumped up.

  • haha i was there too...remember the idiots who started the OLAY! chant...that was me and my whiskey loaded friends

  • i saw them last night at Flogging Molly too, they were sick

  • haha me too, they were nasty.

  • Haha, me too.

I was amazed at how good they were, I just wish I had enough money for their cd T_T

  • same here great show

  • i saw these guys..and girl last nighht the aplod tey got almost matcched floggin molly's

  • just saw them with flogging molly in toronto, and they were fucking amazing!

  • Saw them live in chicago with flogging molly, awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! Greatest guitarist ive seen!!!

  • Just saw these guys open for Flogging Molly in Chicago. Hands down, best opening act I've seen yet. They did a fantastic job hyping up the crowd. By the end of their set, I thought they might actually be able to put on a better show than FM. (By the end of the night, I was undecided.)

  • just saw them on tour with flogging molly they are awesome. Reverend can play a mean guitar!

  • Indeed. A couple of years ago, the band visited the home of some friends after a show to jam. After a while, the other guitar players stopped so they could watch and listen to the Rev. After one particularly amazing bit, one of the players (a guy who had been playing guitar longer than the Rev had been alive) asked him if he had a knife. The Rev replied "Yep!". And the guy said, "Can you cut my arms off?"

  • I should follow up to confirm that the Rev did not cut the guys arms off.

  • So did i! they were the best opening band Flogging Molly has ever had. No question

  • i think its called scrap yard blues hatever it is it rocks

  • I think of them as "Delta Blues", but the Rev describes their sound as "Country Blues".

  • Oh man they are so great live.

    Redrocks man Redrocks.

  • This band is so great it makes me sick. I just found out about them by accident today, found their website, and ordered both CD's and a T-shirt.

This is like delta blues music from the freaking 30's or something. Wow. I can't wait to get my music in the mail.

  • I just played with these guys this past weekend at the Roots and Blues up here in Canada. I had to fill in for their drummer who was turned away at the border. Such cool music and people.

  • What? No offense, but I can't imagine the band without Jayme - hard to fill in for a drummer who has been playing with a guitarist their entire life!

  • just saw him this weekend.

    unreal

  • I pass gas that sounds better than them. You call that music. Sounds to me like a broken record.

  • seen em teh nare fucking great. one of the best live acts ive seen

  • This would have been awesome to see.

  • Easy enough to see them...they are pretty much constantly on tour, and go all over the USA. Check their web site.
