I just wanted to say that I think what you're doing is great. Using the power of YouTube & Google (even though they are one) to reach out to people in a new way and hear what they have to say. We need more people like you in Congress! God bless you!
Finally a Senator who is not so arrogant or "bought out" by special interests that he/she is willing to reach out and actually listen to the public. This is the way it should be working. Please weather the negative comments and keep doing what you are doing.
If you really wanted to "Eliminate Wasteful Spending" Sen McCaskill you would have to eliminate yourself & get out of the way because you & your party are the problem. Your whole idea on how to solve problem is to tax us & give it to someone else who did not earn it...
Overhaul DOD 5000.2 and FAR regulations. Give commensurate authority to PMs but fire the ones that get out of line. Reward Enterprise Business development (i.e. vendors spending their own dollars on IRAD). Find a way to get "govt rights" on everything. Reward "Open System" standards. Force page limits on documents. If they weren't so bloated we could review them more effectively. Bring expertise back into government. The majority has been contracted out.
We could start by eliminating the whatever you call it on Iraq
for one, Congress never declared war
second, they never did anything to us, what grounds do we have to invade them? Greed (oil)?
We could also make outsourcing illegal. That would create jobs and give money to our people. Importing more than you export = horrible idea for sustaining a country.\
how about... getting rid of presidents day.. and columbus day... just for starters....and...how much did that inauguration cost us tax payers? couldnt he just say.. "ok I'll do it" and save 20 mil bucks?
Wasting of tax paying money, really Senator? Did you not vote YES on the spending bill you called a Stimulus Package?!? That was a trillion dollars of wasted tax payer money!!
Every freakin part of government has insiders that are given the job without any qualification. From the local city offices to governors to senators and Yes EVEN THE PRESIDENT, not Obama, though.
How about the 9,000 plus earmarks in the "stimulus bill"? Billions in it totally wasted. If you need an idiot like me to tell u that that's one way to elimante wasteful spending, then you have no business being a Senator. Billions for things like tattoo removal, pineapple research, the study of grape genomes, million plus to ACORN, half a million for la raza, a rascist hispanic group that calls for the annexation of Texas to Mexico etc etc. Get real liberal idiot!
stop the war on drugs for starters. Legalize marijuana, stop paying 20% of the UN budget. Stop giving away money to other countries, use the money to fix America.
My favorite senator of all time. Of all time I say! Classy & tough. Just because she's gracious does not mean she'll let you get away with expediency!
I am prior mil and was a contractor for SAIC under the Clinton Administration. I don't recall there being any no-bid contracts back then, as with each contract renewal, there were several competitors. What we had a was gov't contract manager working with our company's rep on ea contract. The two worked very closely with each other on a daily basis. Feedback on budget and performance issues was immediate. Goals were set and either met or exceeded, lest the contract be discontinued.

end the wars, end foreign aid, privatize government agencies, end the federal reserve, lower taxes, end government regulation, legalize victimless crimes, give me my freedom back!
Unfortunately, those in power gain by the system crashing (that includes you), so those in power always opt for this later option.

I can continue your list
5. Give tax cuts to the wealthiest 3% of US population
6. Outlaw Constitution; erase civil liberties.
7. Restore W as President
8. Start a 'war' without Congress' approval with Saudi Arabia for their oil

People like to blame politicians. This is a nation full of dummies, and we really expect to have intelligent politicians?

Actually that's a gross underestimation, the war is in the 10 billions not millions, but yeah there is bigger sources of spending.
