Seriously? A commercial before a commercial? Good movie though I seen it last night on fillmsi.co.cc and really enjoyed it - I hope they make more! I like this kind movies really much.

I would just like to point out that I do not think this film was meant to be seriously analyzed. Didn't expect it to have some super amazing plot (although I thought the plot fit the film), Oscar-winning performances, or anything like that, and yet I still left the fillmsi.co.cc entertained.
I did love the way they set this movie up; it was like being in 3 different worlds, 1 real and 2 fantasy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some shocking surprises too in it. I found it at fillmsi.co.cc.

Well what can I say? It is an amazing film, which is nice to see in this time of the year blockbuster. The acting in this is top-notch, the effects, although computer graphics, everything is very very good made and don't distract from the overall storytelling. Watch this film free at kòòkica!
I give this one an "A". This movie was one of the best flicks I've seen in quite a while on kòòkica. I found the subject mattter to be uncomfortbly relevant. The concept that someone with power can plant ideas and convince us that they're our ideas.
If you get confused easy in movies or offended easily, then don't see it. If you still like it see it on kòòkica. This movie is like a puzzle, and you really need to think throughout the film. Hands down, this is the best film I've seen this year.

It was a very enjoyable movie to watch and i probably will see it again on kòòkica(i like to look for things i missed the first time around), but i do believe that it deserved a much higher rating.
Oh that last shot of the movie. At the midnight premiere of the movie everyone in the audience was practically screaming at the screen at the implications of that last shot. I will see it on kòòkica again for sure. But boy howdy did it have everyone talking.

hey guess what i think that this movie will be a a hit u kno why, because the people they r getting to work on the post production have awsome resumes. secondly all these film boycotts are stupid. they think there trying to make people not watch but they r mostly doin the opposite. it is just like the da vinci code, where there were all these protests and people saying they reject the movie when all they did was give it more attention and make people want to see it to see wut the fuss is about.
In order for race not to be an issue, don't make it one!!! I really don't give a care what race the characters are, I honestly didn't even notice that the characters were "asian" when I watched the series as a child! and i'm sure the kids today wont care either, it seems that only the "older" people care just so they can make a big deal out of nothing!
Well, I was either 14 or 13 when it first aired, but besides the point, this movie is probably directed towards children, and as I said, when I was younger I didn't care what race they were, whether I was 14 or younger.
In an Asian-inspired world actors of Asian descent would fit the motif nicely. However, I'm not miffed about race so much as I am about the fact that not many of the people who have been cast resemble their character. Noah Ringer looks alright to me, his face is a bit babyish but if they are making 3 films he'll be the right age by the end. Jackson Rathbone is well cast imo. I really don't like Dev Patel as Zuko though. He looks absolutely nothing like him, there isn't the slightest resemblance.
To me, Indian looks as different from eastern Asian as Caucasian does. The fact that Indians are lumped together with the "Asian race" means absolutely nothing.
But I am pleased to have Jesse off the cast. Not because he's white but because I have no faith in his acting talent.
Your example is extremely different from this. Tim Burton has his way of directing things - but the thing is, he picks up Alice's story from another point while M.Night tries to capture the ATLA-story fully. That's a big difference.

Thats right. Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are helping M. Night Shyamalan produce this movie. Think about this for a second. Michael and Bryan made history when they made this animated series. It was the 1# show on Nick and won many awards. I'm just saying this movie might be good.

I think we need to keep in mind that every adapted movie will put there own twists on the original. The goal is not to make a remake of the original, otherwise they would just keep the cartoon. The goal is to re-"create" it, staying somewhat close to the original, while adding new elements that makes the movie its own species.

Why they should: see racebending (dot) com. The show has many asian influences (martial arts, etc.)
Why they shouldn't: not that many great asian actors out there. If you have seen Gran Torino, you'll know that the acting can be bad (which would require for the script/plot to make up for it).

You have to admit the whole series has an Asian touch to it =P Mostly the fighting techniques and moves are martial arts-like. The temples and religious aspects resemble Eastern religions as well (Tibetan monks-style etc.)
Just the water tribe is not Asian-like at all. Their lifestyle, religion and appearance seems to be closest to that of the Inuit (or eskimo's) except again for the fighting moves when waterbending.
I'm not talking about the animation style, I'm talking about the fighting techniques =) and the appearance of their lifestyle/religion. Yes of course, the way they drew the series is anime-like. But that was not my point.
They don't just "look like it"...they ARE authentic. The animators had to learn the different authentic martial arts moves and all the writing is authentic Chinese. They even have an Asian culture consultant on the staff.
Only someone in deep denial could say that this isn't an Asian/Inuit world.
Avatar! I love the cartoon ...and yeh It is not really an anime but that isn't really important, I really hope they do better than what they did to one of the greatest animes EVER = Dragonball

I think you are all wrong and this movie will be great. If you think it'll suck then you'll go in looking for all the things that don't match up to the cartoon and any little thing you don't like will be amplified. Have some faith, THE original creaters have been on set to assist M. Night.
I have to say I'm dissapointed in my fellow avatar fans and their close minded attitude.
The movie cannot be as good as the animated TV show. There is no way it can top the high praise it has already received especially with MS directing it. Goodness look at his three or four most recent movies--ALL trash according to critics and viewers alike.
Aang looks like Aang, so in that he looks like the cartoon version. Does he look asian? No. because he's white. If he acts like Aang, then in the end it doesn't really matter.
While I find it highly disrespectful of the asian cultures that Avatar is inspired bym if The Last Airbender can portray the tv show feeling then I'll be satisfied. Paramount is still a douchebag for casting mostly white people however.
But he doesn't look like Aang. Even if you ignore the ethnic differences, Ringer is always shown scowling, and swathed in heavy clothes. Aang's mein is light, airy, freewheeling and perpetually joyful. Through some combination of miscasting and bad directing, this Aang looks earthbound and solid. Aang in the show would fly up 15 feet if he sneezed too hard.
Its nice to see you have brought jumping to conclusions with you. You've seen all of one trailer, and one picture and have already come to the conclusion that Aang will be dark and emo. I am cautious about this movie because it could end up being gawd awful terrible, but I won't make judgments until after its come out and I've seen it.

hey guess what i think that this movie will be a a hit u kno why, because the people they r getting to work on the post production have awsome resumes. secondly all these film boycotts are stupid. they think there trying to make people not watch but they r mostly doin the opposite. it is just like the da vinci code, where there were all these protests and people saying they reject the movie when all they did was give it more attention and make people want to see it to see wut the fuss is about.

In order for race not to be an issue, don't make it one!!! I really don't give a care what race the characters are, I honestly didn't even notice that the characters were "asian" when I watched the series as a child! and i'm sure the kids today wont care either, it seems that only the "older" people care just so they can make a big deal out of nothing!

Well, I was either 14 or 13 when it first aired, but besides the point, this movie is probably directed towards children, and as I said, when I was younger I didn't care what race they were, whether I was 14 or younger.

In an Asian-inspired world actors of Asian descent would fit the motif nicely. However, I'm not miffed about race so much as I am about the fact that not many of the people who have been cast resemble their character. Noah Ringer looks alright to me, his face is a bit babyish but if they are making 3 films he'll be the right age by the end. Jackson Rathbone is well cast imo. I really don't like Dev Patel as Zuko though. He looks absolutely nothing like him, there isn't the slightest resemblance.

To me, Indian looks as different from eastern Asian as Caucasian does. The fact that Indians are lumped together with the "Asian race" means absolutely nothing.
But I am pleased to have Jesse off the cast. Not because he's white but because I have no faith in his acting talent.

Your example is extremely different from this. Tim Burton has his way of directing things - but the thing is, he picks up Alice's story from another point while M.Night tries to capture the ATLA-story fully. That's a big difference.

i must say, after seeing the trailer to avatar, i seriously believe it could go either way. i'm not too optimistic, but i'm not gonna write this off yet.
it was VERY encouraging to know that Shyamalan was going to work closely with Michael and Bryan, and also encouraging to know that he's trying to follow the show very closely.

Thats right. Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are helping M. Night Shyamalan produce this movie. Think about this for a second. Michael and Bryan made history when they made this animated series. It was the 1# show on Nick and won many awards. I'm just saying this movie might be good.

i didnt know they were making a beauty and beast live action movie. a modern twist huh? well i remember back in either late 80's or early 90's they had a beauty and beast tv show and it was set in modern time. however that show wasnt based on the disney movie.

I think we need to keep in mind that every adapted movie will put there own twists on the original. The goal is not to make a remake of the original, otherwise they would just keep the cartoon. The goal is to re-"create" it, staying somewhat close to the original, while adding new elements that makes the movie its own species.

haha that's true, but that even doesn't make any sense. I've heard people complain that they're not Asian. But Aang, Zuko, Saka, etc are NOT Asian. They cann't be Asian if there is no Asia. Besides, all the characters in the cartoon ARE white. Has anyone taken a look at Aang recently?There's a reason why his blue arrow stands out so well. I'm not arguing for a white cast, I'm arguing against those who apply a race to a cartoon. Those who do are idiots and clearly don't know what race is.

i can argue why they should and shouldn't cast a asians for the heroes...
Why they should: see racebending (dot) com. The show has many asian influences (martial arts, etc.)
Why they shouldn't: not that many great asian actors out there. If you have seen Gran Torino, you'll know that the acting can be bad (which would require for the script/plot to make up for it).
I do think that they should have at least casted hispanics/latinos to be close, lol

You have to admit the whole series has an Asian touch to it =P Mostly the fighting techniques and moves are martial arts-like. The temples and religious aspects resemble Eastern religions as well (Tibetan monks-style etc.)
Just the water tribe is not Asian-like at all. Their lifestyle, religion and appearance seems to be closest to that of the Inuit (or eskimo's) except again for the fighting moves when waterbending.

They don't just "look like it"...they ARE authentic. The animators had to learn the different authentic martial arts moves and all the writing is authentic Chinese. They even have an Asian culture consultant on the staff.
Only someone in deep denial could say that this isn't an Asian/Inuit world.

I think you are all wrong and this movie will be great. If you think it'll suck then you'll go in looking for all the things that don't match up to the cartoon and any little thing you don't like will be amplified. Have some faith, THE original creaters have been on set to assist M. Night.

Aang looks like Aang, so in that he looks like the cartoon version. Does he look asian? No. because he's white. If he acts like Aang, then in the end it doesn't really matter.
While I find it highly disrespectful of the asian cultures that Avatar is inspired bym if The Last Airbender can portray the tv show feeling then I'll be satisfied. Paramount is still a douchebag for casting mostly white people however.

But he doesn't look like Aang. Even if you ignore the ethnic differences, Ringer is always shown scowling, and swathed in heavy clothes. Aang's mein is light, airy, freewheeling and perpetually joyful. Through some combination of miscasting and bad directing, this Aang looks earthbound and solid. Aang in the show would fly up 15 feet if he sneezed too hard.

Its nice to see you have brought jumping to conclusions with you. You've seen all of one trailer, and one picture and have already come to the conclusion that Aang will be dark and emo. I am cautious about this movie because it could end up being gawd awful terrible, but I won't make judgments until after its come out and I've seen it.
