Best song for this show I have to say. I was in the shower and I am a big anime fan n have slot of DVDs but I was singing this song n the opening song and I was like what is this from, but I found it. So after like a year or so I was brought back here
This show had such a huge effect on me. I remember the exact day I saw this episode. My mom picked me up from school and announced that we were going to my aunties house and I was so worried that I was going to miss it, but I made it just in time to catch the episode. It was so bittersweet because I wanted Beryl to go down, but loved the Dark Kingdom so much at the same time! Then things started anew. I remember thinking the show was over after that. And this song was stuck in my head for days.
i did not grow up with sailor moon but i still fell in love with the manga and story. from what my sister has told me, it was real hard to get people into anime back then so they creators deserve alot of respect. and so do the fans. i love ya, Sailor Moon!!
Man, just ran across this. I remember when Sailor Moon dusted Queen Beryl for good, with a pretty cool song playing in the background. Gotta have a song playing; to make sure they go down, and stay down.
ah i miss my child hood... back when boys really did like the same cartoons(anime) that girls liked but just wouldnt admit it in front of em :P and the girls wernt scared of putting on a martial arts outfit and screaming kamehameha. T-T" i miss toonami....i miss when adult swim didnt exist...and it was late night black and white cartoons like felix the cat and such...
Oh no, I don't think it's a good idea that Sailor moon be re-dubbed or anything. Imagine if they dubbed the Stars season! Oh my god. No. Just no. Just watch the Japanese version with English subtitles.
@lehcaRiku I beg to differ. English dubs have gotten better than in the 90s. There are plenty of talented new VAs that would do an excellent job with Sailor Moon. Also, the US is starting to accept some more "objectionable" content such as minor nudity and more blood these days. So I really don't think they'd edit out nudity or anything if it was dubbed, and most dubbers keep the same original script.
@3cheers4Ger i do like the idea of Re-dubbing Sailor Moon. and in my opinion the english dubs in anime now a days have gotten better (ex. Fullmetal Alchemist) but i also like the english dub of sailor moon. if they Re-dubbed it i wish they would do it without scrapping out a lot of stuff
@annihlator3 Ah. I see. Me, too. I prefer some of the English voices over the Japanese voices. I wish Terry Hawkes could've kept voicing Usagi/Serena until the dub ended. Instead of that raspy voice that tried to imitate Terry....
love the music! loved the show! Now people are making the most idiotic shows that really make no sense and are just mindless pictures with no story. They should really bring back shows like Sailor Moon!! There are so many Sailor Moon fans out there...you would think that would give them the idea that keeping S.M. on the air would be a good thing...
@DeathBeNoMore I know this might seem crazy to respond after so long but... the reason it was never finished was because of a lot of content in the final season. They could not hide Uranus and Neptune's relationship in the final season, then there are the Starlights. Sailor Moon is going to make a come back though, the reprints are coming and as long as all goes well in France, the show will come back and the Star season will finally air.

Its a well known fact that the creator of Sailor Moon did NOT approve of the Star season, No, and I repeat, NO guys were ever suppose to be a senshi. She was very upset when she saw the mangas. She had no part in their making.

@colieswo FUNimation might redub it. I hear they're negotiating with Toei (and maybe Naoko as well, idk) to get the rights. And I know right! It was probably because they didn't want American children to be exposed to openly lesbian characters on a 'TV-Y7 show'....that makes no sense! Hakura and Michiru were probably one of the most adorable couples in the series. You could still tell they weren't cousins, they still flirted and such! *facepalm* That was one epic fail for Cwi.
I don't think a redub is actually needed. The original Japanese version is STILL and will ALWAYS be the best in my opinion and there is are voice actor/actresses that will do the characters justice like the original. In the original, the voice actors displayed so much emotion, something that I think the voice actors in America simply can't do as well (just look at the dub made by DIC and Cloverway). The emotional scenes were okay but were better portrayed in the original.
@MusicLoverBrian1 I agree with you that the original Japanese version was excellent (I'm almost done watching the original version of SM Classic, about to move on to Sailor Moon R). There really was a lot of feeling put into that--remember the scene when Sailor Moon saved Hotaru at the end of S? I saw that clip and was amazed. But I would like to see what a new dub would be like. Maybe FUNimation will do a good job, who knows? But hey, everyone has their own opinions; I respect yours. (:

This song is the ONE thing the dub did right. It became the song of my childhood. Also, the lyrics do actually portray the message of Sailor Moon, surprisingly! <3

My fav. shows that were on Cartoon Network were Sailor Moon, Dual Masters, Rave Master, Pokemon and Code Lyoko. I really miss Friday nights, Mizuki, and Toonami. Now the only show I watch on the CN is Pokemon.

i watched this in 1994, then comes the second season, then the third, then the 4th...couldnt tolerate it anymore....too many SCOUTS! and not selling enough cookies!

namely becuase, when it was on USA network around 94-95 range, it was the ONLY real anime on TV for me... not that I realy understood anime at that time, but I liked the style. :)
I saw this before pokemon and all that, this was my introduction to anime. The only problem is that it was never really broadcast in the uk at any great extent. They basically played about 5 episodes over and over. That sucked but I did love the style.
@LenTheLadiesman there is a 50 50 chance that they will redub SM either in late summer or early fall. PS thank you for not being like ppl that say SM is only for girls and admitting you like SM even tho your a guy. I hate ppl that think certain anime is for just boys and other are just for girls.

I hope cartoon network to make it good again, plus i used to watch it on cartoon network.
@YuPokeNaruFan If it was redubbed, it probably wouldn't air on CN, maybe on Adult Swim on Saturday nights (since that's when anime is usually shown)? I mean, if FUNimation, ADV or any other company that gets the rights does dub it, it will be most likely closer to the original. The Japanese version was, indeed, a kids show, but the content would be considered TV-14 here. It would probably be aimed at teenagers (like myself) and young adults.

even though im a guy i did love sailor moon. i loved to see the fights and transformations. i wish they could show it again. i watched every episode and i think its awesome anime. ROCK ON SAILOR MOON!!

my favorite songs from the entire sailor moon series/movies and everything has always been this song(carry on), my only love, and power of love. they are so emotional and cool and powerful. yet still kid friendly. which is always good :)

@randomgreen321 Did you know the real meaning of Gay is extremely happy. People always use it in the wrong way. You have to admit that most of the shows on Cartoon Network are like that. There only a few that aren't that way like Pokemon and BayBlade, those are the kind of shows that should be put back on. Action/Adventure shows are the best. Cha!!!!!!!

@randomgreen321 no offense but to be upset by the use of the word gay in a negative context is a bit silly after all if we remove it as a acceptable negative word then a new negative word will take its place and may very well be much worse, that's the way it is the way its been and the way it will always be for so long as humans have free will.

@SonicRush200 I agree cartoon network went down hill when they put stupid shows on like flapjack and chowder. My fav. shows that were on Cartoon Network were Sailor Moon, Dual Masters, Rave Master, Pokemon and Code Lyoko. I really miss Friday nights, Mizuki, and Toonami. Now the only show I watch on the CN is Pokemon.

@SonicRush200 im glad there are boys out there who don't think SM is for girls. A lot of ppl say that SM, TMM, and Winx club are for girls and pokemon yu-gi-oh and naruto are for boys but i am a girl and i watch all 6 of these anime. I really hate it when ppl say that. there's no anime for just boys and just girls. Thank you for not being like those ppl and admiting that you like SM even tho your a boy.

yeah there were 5 seasons but the 5th was never officially dubbed in english. but who knows-maybe it will be in the near future?

namely becuase, when it was on USA network around 94-95 range, it was the ONLY real anime on TV for me... not that I realy understood anime at that time, but I liked the style. :)

I saw this before pokemon and all that, this was my introduction to anime. The only problem is that it was never really broadcast in the uk at any great extent. They basically played about 5 episodes over and over. That sucked but I did love the style.

@Starlightmew i hope so too. like i said there's a 50 50 chance, but if all the SailorMoon fujoshis and otakus come together we can raise the chances for it being redubbed. i heard if they do redub it, they will show it in september or october, but i am not sure what channal. I hope cartoon network to make it good again, plus i used to watch it on cartoon network.

@YuPokeNaruFan If it was redubbed, it probably wouldn't air on CN, maybe on Adult Swim on Saturday nights (since that's when anime is usually shown)? I mean, if FUNimation, ADV or any other company that gets the rights does dub it, it will be most likely closer to the original. The Japanese version was, indeed, a kids show, but the content would be considered TV-14 here. It would probably be aimed at teenagers (like myself) and young adults.
