Just perfected this level after about twenty tries. I used one less cannon in the first 6 levels then this video so I could get all the wave 5 and 6 flying enemies. Arrows are the main weapon in this level, 5 or so cannons, 5 high flag level lasers and a shit load of fire towers and gem bombs for the boss.
Wow, even having different flag colours but the same amount and placement of towers I still have trouble going through the first 8 waves without letting at least one through. I am guessing having the exact flag colours as in this video must be the key. This is one damn hard level to perfect.
They should create something like a "beast edition" where you take control of the monsters and have to destroy as many towers as you can before they kill you.
Yeah, I continued playing till a special scenario, where I got the flame thrower already. but I can't get the land mines at special scenario 2, I did not get rainbow for that, but it says landmines has been unlocked. I don't see it though...my guess is to get landmines, i have to get perfect score. Right?
@armyboy24 You gotta unlock the flamethrower by playing the special level on the lower right of the map. If it doesn't unlock, then you need to rainbow (perfect score) that special stage.

worth every cent..its great in single player but if a friend plays it with u its one of the most addictive games ul ever play..easy to pick up at first but as u continue strategy really comes to the fore..best game on the psn imo

Beating the stages with perfect is far too easy, now, trying to beat it within top 50 rank online is a much difficult feat. I'm Actually rank #1 on Hard 4 and I'm a mission to be rank #1 on at least 3 of the original stages. Currently ranked 25 for the whole island and I just barely started this game a week ago. Anyways, here's a tip to achieving higher score... the gold is the key.... save and earn as much interest as possible, use the minimum ammount of towers necessary. Good Luck.
Great tips and I found that out myself, the buying interest thing. Take level 1 easy for example, it's so much fun as it's short (10 waves) and if you're good, you can do it with VERY minimal towers and at least two of the interest upgrades. It's all about placement, timing, and managing your gold and crystals. Great game.

Try to ditch the laser towers as soon as the last balloon is dead. Convert those into fire guns and have at least 2-3 right where the boss enters. And make sure you have fire towers surrounding the base and use 3 mines and it will kill him and get a flawless.
By far the hardest level. Still haven't beaten it (let alone gotten the rainbow). It took forever to get a perfect on the "4 Trees" level. This game is insanely hard and addictive ;-)

I've probably played the level 10 times now, with variations of weapons, and still nothing. Sometimes he even sits at the fortress, killing away my pack one by one, for probably a good 25 seconds, while being fired upon, and still, I lose. I'm starting to have nightmares about this at night.
Worked flawlessly until the end boss. I built and upgraded exactly as in this video, but when the last boss still had over 50% health when he reached the hut. Gonna try it again... maybe add more canons or get mortar for him. Thanks for these, tho... they've been great!

@pwnagex1 It's a tower defense game. You're trying to protect your villagers from getting eaten by the creatures. Really fun game, you should get it!

The trophy is easy compared to the hardcore 2 man version.
