  • @srinivasan1951 I am blessed to meet you, who ever is in touch with mahaswami is blessed ....

  • @srinivasan1951 :

Very nice to hear, sir. As you said, Divine is the only word to describe this video

  • This is one of the rare video recordings which was recorded by Doordarshan on the occasion of Shankara Jayanthi 1n 1988 for clearing a controversy about Kanchi Kamakoti peetam being the seat established by Adi Sankara

  • 6. Advaita, as the sage of Kanchi used to say (vide his audio tapes) is the exraordinary capacity, coming through right conduct, to see self reflected in God's creations. This emotion can come to individuals who are fit for great urge to uplift society spiritually and economically, and such people will be easier to find among all people, rather than the hereditary spiritualist class which is no more.

  • 5. . Hence it is absolutely necessary for the Sankaracharyas not to allow Advaita to entertain narrow mindedness with neglect of the target sections of missionaries who invade in thousands and using numerous marks such as charities and NGOs. Even the Chandalas, as Adi Sankara says, can be a great Guru, if he is firmly rooted in Advaita, but Advaita is difficult for both the most affluent and the most underprivileged. Herditary spiritual community has become extinct today.

  • 4. Morover, Hinduism has come under serious threat due to certain alien religions having launched virulent progrmmes of conversion exploiting problems of poor, suffering and needy people. Advaita cannot sell but can come into ridicule due to this even as our ancient religio-cultural foundations start cracking due to the evil propaganda of alien missionaries

  • 3. He also showed that the spiritual power of the Acharyas who carry the banner of Vedic wisdom, alone will decide the glory of any Sankara Mathams. There are other Maths which too preach Advaita, but not all of them are under Acharyas who are spiritually advanced, but expect to score brownie points by painting other Maths as not installed by Adi Sankara, the historical Granthas establishing the authenticity of the other Maths are fabrications, etc. One such Math is in South itself.

  • 2 He was also liked by Muslims and Christians for his catholic views, and he did nothing to more than merely displaying through his conduct that India, with its ancient roots in Hinduism, is home for all, regardless of any labels of community and religion, as long they loved Mother India as their own mother. He showed how to practise duty and Bhakti as Hindu.

  • Despite the highly elitist Advaita Vedanta philosophy which he explained to ordinary people, the "Sage of Kanchi" as he was fondly called and is remembered by people and scholars alike, did much for all people with an un-proclaimed objective to usher a greater sense of unity among all Hindus, of all sects and castes, rich and poor. Reading the story of the Sage of Kanchi, this is our unmistakable conclusion.

  • It is like looking at god!
