Musically, I like the Red Rocker better than Buffett. I'd only listen to Buffett and his Coral Reefer band on occasions such as boating. His music, Hagar's and Kenny Chesney's music are perfect boating music.
When Sammy hagar joined VH, he began writing songs with EVH on the second album in particular and after. He also had top 40 hits like VH before he joined VH. That's why they continued making platinum albums after DLR left. Both eras were great, and both were successes for the band.

I was at Cabo Waba the day before New Years eve. It was awesome the place was empty compaired to how it was during new years day. I had to leave that day so i wasnt at the party.
do not compare eddie and sammy. they are both great in their own right. the thing about sammy, is that he is a singer and as far as i am concerned, a great song writer. singers will usually come out on top of someone who can just play an instrument. peace and love.... and keep an open mind.............

Sam has a one in a million set of pipes and a good musical sense, but Ed's a genius/introvert who takes his work very seriously and wound up over-relying on it for everything: it didn't quite work out for him, but along the way it made some incredible music & revolutionized the guitar.

He still goes to a sushi bar in Glendora known as Hana Haru. There are a few pictures of him posted on the "wall".
@firstbornson1952 sammy is from my home town of Fontana, Ca, which im sure you have heard of, being from Glendora.....Sammy love the burritos from a little mexican joint called Mexico Lindo (in Fontana), and goes there when in town. they have an autographed photo of him, that have been there for many, many years.
