The fact that Ali named his sons Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman is recorded by the classical Shia scholar, Shaikh Mufid, in “Kitab al-Irshad”, pp. 268-269, where these three sons of Ali are listed as numbers 12, 6 and 10 respectively.
Hasan, the second Imam of the Shia, similarly named his sons after Abu Bakr and Umar. This fact is recorded in Shaykh Mufid’s “Kitab al-Irshad” , in which Abu Bakr is mentioned as Hasan’s son on page 373 and Umar is mentioned as his son on page 290:

وجاء في صحيح الترمذي إن عبدالله بن عمر سُئلَ عن متعة الحجّ ، قال : هي حلال . فقال له السائل إن أباك قد نهى عنها . فقال : أرأيت إن كان أبي نهى عنها وصنعها رسول الله أأمر أبي أتبع أم أمر رسول الله ؟ فقال الرجل : بل أمر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم (3) .

عن إبن عباس قال : تمتع النبي صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم ، فقال عروة إبن الزبير : نهى أبو بكر وعمر عن المتعة ، فقال إبن عباس : مايقول عُرية ؟ « تصغير لعروة » قال : يقول نهى أبو أبو بكر وعمر عن المتعة ، فقال إبن عبّاس : أراهم سيهلكون أقول : قال النبي ويقولون نهى أبو بكر وعمر (2) .

In Mutah, a Shia man pays a few dollars to have sex with a whore, and they are "married" for less than one hour. On the other hand, Misyar is permanent and lasts forever. In fact, it is Haram to contract Misyar if you have the intention of divorce.

I didn't really know the full story of Imam Hussein. He's rarely spoken about in the mosque I attend. Not until I took the time to study and learn all about this tragic part of Islamic history did I come to love and respect this descendent of the Prophet. I think the Muslim world is weak BECAUSE the majority DON'T KNOW the truth of Karbala--an event of good Muslims vs. evil Muslims.
