Sad story.. classical situation when someone just cannot see and appreciate what is right in front of him/her and just passionately longing for somebody he/she cannot have ... sad that he first had to loose her (Helene) to open his eyes and realize what he had wasted...
What a very good plot... it makes me cry a lot specially at the end of the story.. at first it was bored, but when the movie near the end, it was very good.

I like the movie better than the book.
In the book it somehow doesn't give the feeling that he loves
his wife so much and yeah some lines in the movie just make the movie/story :)
