When you shift gears up on a motorcycle, is it like a car that when you shift one up do you let go of the accelerator(throttle) or do you just keep it in the same place?

@Pmeyer123 just like a car... in fact the concept is the same,the difference is that everything u do with ur feet in a car u do with ur hands, and everything u do with ur hands u do with ur feet.. (except for steering, turn signals, and horn)
