I can't understand all the negative comments here! Never mind the facial expressions and movement, these are two outstanding musicians! (Especially Power- he has a fantastic sound on his viola!!!) When you close your eyes and listen, you can feel the playfulness, energy and emotion in the music that the players are trying to express.

WTF Is Vengerov trying to do in the beginning. The orchestra is like "who the heck is that guy and what do all those gestures mean can't he just beat time." This has got to be about the worst playing ever. The solists need to stop trying to out do each other and listen to the orchestra. Absurd

The comments posted on this page is ever the indication that classical music will always remain in the dark ages. This was a MAGNIFICENT performance by two BRILLIANT artists. Quite frankly they weren't moving excessively. I've often wondered what could possibly be missing in the life of a human being who finds another person's expression disgusting. Why does outward expression get criticized so much in the classical world?? It's beyond ridiculous. Perhaps even PRETENTIOUS.

Over-mannered, affected and frequently bulging sounds from over-rated players.

Makes one of Mozart's finest sound like bad Tchaikovsky-to be expected mind you, Vengerov does this with most composers he plays.
