  • Sorry Hutchinson but you're gone and my daddy is coming to sit in your spot and he called it! Yeah daddy!

  • Sup?

  • Liar liar pants on fire!

  • I have an idea! Stop driving gas guzzlers! There is NO REASON to drive trucks for every day use. Do you know what I think the "bread and butter" of our nation should be, you ignorant buffoon? Common sense. But I don't mind if you keep smearing toxic gas all over your toast, but stop doing it to mine!

  • Additionally, people are dying from fossil fuel emissions. An estimated 13000 people die every year in the United States alone from these emissions. 6% of Americans live in areas below federal air quality standards, and fossil fuels cost America about $120 Billion a year. If we change to renewable energy, we would save money, better the health of people around the world, all the while protecting our environment.

  • @TheConormac1 an estimated 0 people die from emissions each people. there has been no confirmed cases that just because u live in a city you die from a cars emissions from the air. Those 13000 are from people inhaling it directly from the tail pipe. If we change to renewable energy, the fact that everything would suck. our cars would go 40 mph on highway. and plastic would also skyrocket. as plastic is a by product of oil. and the environment is doing just fine.

  • @nintendude60 The 8 out of 10 stat comes from George Mason University, a credible university that does not "spread lies." Additionally, US Today reported that 97% of scientists believe in climate change. These are legitimate websites with credible facts.

  • Nuclear is the only way!!

  • @TheCopskillpeople amen to that! nuclear energy is clean and very very powerful and effective! and most importantly safe! it does way better than oil. and all the by products of just one nuclear power plant, for an ENTIRE YEAR CAN FIT UNDER A DESK.

  • Liberal trolling with the dislikes?

  • Booo

  • Moron libs hate freedom and want all of us to live the socialist lives they want.

  • @zeekstr I am not a liberal nor a socialist. I have done my research on the future of our environment and the impact of fossil fuels on our planet. There are companies, such as Chevron, that propose a future combining clean fuels and renewable energy. However, that must become the rule, not the exception. We are running out of time. There is no honest denying of climate change. Climate change exists. And it threatens our livelihood...

  • @TheConormac1 climate change does not exist. Man-made climate change anyways. please please please do some research from actual scientists. who arent paid millions to make up a lie.

  • @nintendude60 That is interesting, considering that the Koch Industry and other fossil fuel companies spend millions to deny that climate change exists

  • @TheConormac1 right. because its a threat to their business. any business person would know that.

  • Comment removed

  • @zeekstr as Americans and as a world. The majority of the scientific community, from climatologists to marine biologists, agree that we have about 10 years to substantially decrease our emissions. What Senator Hutchison proposes is a slow, weak change in the face of this small window. This should be seen as untenable in the eyes of both republicans and democrats. After all, climate change does not discriminate along party lines.

  • @TheConormac1 the majority of the scientific community does not agree on that. as 30,000 scientists from around the world are suing the very small amount of green people. there is no climate change that is man made. sorry. but uve been lied to.

  • @nintendude60 Over 8 out of 10 American climatologists and 97% of scientists around the world believe in climate change. The climate denial "machine" has been funded by fossil fuels to keep skepticism among the international community. After all, it would save the fossil fuel companies money in the short term to change their dangerous environmental policies. Climate change is real and there is little to no legitimate evidence to question it.

  • @TheConormac1 omg kid. CLimate change is REAL FACT !!! but WE ARE NOT THE CAUSE. see that big red star called the SUN?? thats ur CLIMATE CHANGE. there is no dangerous environmental policies. good grief son do u even live in the real world?

  • @TheConormac1 and no 8 out 10 climatologists and 97% do not believe in man made global warming. quite making facts up. more like LIES.

  • KDKDJDJDSKSOXODMDMFMF

  • Another clueless idiot standing in front of a useless suv talking about energy .

  • Comment removed

  • What a crock! She's a total puppet of the oil companies.

  • Karate

  • I propose spending money on developing fusion energy.

  • @Jaharring: Most hydrogen fuel sources are inefficient because there is much less energy in H2O's atomic bonds than in the complex carbon chains of something like petroleum.

  • Everyone needs to stop crying about $4 gas. Why do you think so many Americans are obese? It's because everyone relies on their cars to go everywhere and if you compare our gas prices to other countries it's very cheap! In Europe it's around $8 that's right double how much ours is.

  • How about being sensible and not driving around that gas guzzling truck instead?

And did she seriously called natural gas "clean energy" and grouped it with wind energy?

  • YouTube " I am your grandma"

    and win!

  • Natural gas is your bread & butter? You'll excuse me if I don't have any toast!

You're right, we should probably hydro- frack the New York City aquifer for the gas, and poison all them yankees water supply while were at it

  • Wow kbh you suuuuck. It's seems like you need to start listening to experts and not your pastor and the lady that's poofs your hair. I can't believe this thing beat bill white.

  • What a joke - this cat is no leader.

  • If we are the first country to fully use alternative energy we will be independent energywise. You suggestwe continue to burn whatt remains of the short term solution for energy. China cant match our ability to produce clean energy, so they would buy from us. Big debt issue solved.

  • Not voting for you

  • There is still a lot of oil and gas shouldn't be this high. It is high because our stupid communist government is driving it up with unnecessary regulations on refiners. This helps them push their clean energy agenda because the artificially inflated prices and subsidies is the only way it can survive.

  • Pointless video !!!!

    Not 1 single solution

  • Worthless video

  • QqqqqqQaqqqaqq___\\________[__[[[_[[[[[[[

  • This is greenwashing of plainly dangerous policies.

  • you old ugly whore...shit on you.

  • This video is a fail. She only talks about what clearly must be done, however she provides absoulutley no plan to get there. She isn't leading she is simply pointing out the blantently obvious.

  • Hadnt is had me*

  • The problem is not OPEC, but it is the fact that oil is a finite resource. You hadn't when you started talking about solar energy an wind energy, but then I got mad. I don't understand why politicians think we should keep using oil!

  • @IcecreemLvr because just one oil drill in alaska could provide all of americas oil needs for america for 10 years. oil can last us hundreds of years. just.. liberals will do anything to get a vote.

  • This women is such a hypocrite, she contradicts herself on so many levels.

  • She is leaving in 2012 I haven't seen one good thing she has done for the great state of Texas

  • @PSPgamer27

I know what I'm talkin about dude. Trust me. I aint Earth Hippie or a fucking communist. I'm just an ordinary citizen of a Developing country (trying to).

I've got the fresh country blood runnin through my veins. And I'm desperate to save it for my next generation.

  • In Texas this is a truck.

  • You are a harlot for sale by big oil. Do old people on medicare need to suffer for corporate largess? The only bread you are buttering is big oil.

  • @Lassyofgass Your comment doesn't make any sence

  • Shes leaving in 2012, wouldn't count on her much.

  • U chose this bitch as senator? Get back to the kitchen

  • U suck!!

  • We should use renewable, non-polluting sources of energy like solar, wind, and water. We can run our cars on non-polluting alcohol like they did in the early 20th century. The technology was there a hundred years ago, but Rockefeller wanted to sell us his oil waste byproducts (also known as gasoline).

  • Doesn't she know that drilling for oil causes earthquakes

  • "it costs $75 [of the taxpayer's money] to fill this truck"...blah, blah, blah "to create jobs [the GOP goto line in the attempt to sell anything despite the fact that their policies favor increasing wealth for the ultra-rich, frequently at the expense of jobs for average Americans]..."

  • Golden bear that statement was unbelievably stupid. She means that oil and gas our go to energy resource. We need to drill offshore we have the technology, and there is a lot of oil on the OCS (outer continental shelf). So all this talk about running out of oil is an over exaduration.

  • She said that the grandfather of all our energy is natural gas... That doesn't make sense, solar energy was our first energy... Our bodies use the fuel from the sun, why can't cars?

  • The cost of oil is a direct result of speculation. Additionally the majority of our oil comes from other countries. Many of which are not our friends.

  • She certainly doesnt give a shit about our next generation.

  • Drill baby, DRILL!!! Lower prices at the pump AND more JOBS!

  • 1. End tax cuts to the top 1%

    2. Raise taxes to Clinton era levels

    3. Cut Military Spending drastically

    4. Major spending in infrastructure and Green Energy will create another bubble that will last.

  • This wasnt an eye opener at all for me sadly. Like many others said weve had the technology to break from big oil for years. Its never been about technology. You and I both know the US is the most advanced nation in the world. This is about the seperation of big money from politics. The needs and wants of the people, for the people. Instead of the bottom line of corporations foreign and domestic.

  • high gas prices and short of oil ha funny there's only a ocean of oil under Wyoming we don't need alternative fuel just the fuel prices to drop and why they wont do this is because the government owns most of the "alternative" fuel source plants it just a big scam in the government making some more money and if they don't lower diesel prices there gonna run this country into the ground.

  • My question for you, Senator... How expensive does fuel have to get before you will start thinking about conservation?

  • A full minute on energy and not a single word about conservation?

  • Good try Senator but no, I don't think so. Who's your oil industry sugar daddy I wonder? This one doesn't look like she's ever filled her "truck" herself in her life. $75 to fill - get reall lady.

  • This video has made me dumber. Its like watching a video made by a 4 year old. ( we gonna have the robust economy).

  • If we have an abundant source why aren't we using it?

  • If oil is, as she says "one of our abundant resources", why is it $4/gal. Thank you oil companies and speculators. She says to allow them to drill more and more. Why, so they can exploit us more and more.

We never see the oil they drill in th U.S. or off our shores because they sell it to other counties that pay more for it than the price we will pay.

  • @winderama It's 4 dollars because the idiotic Earth hippies and politicians said "lets not drill in the U.S." we have enough oil to last US 100 years here in the states alone if these hippies would let us tap into the reserves. I can't complain though, we should use up our enemies resources first.

  • Even if we do drill up more oil here, it won't be OUR oil anyway. It all goes to the oil cartel OPEC, who sell it back to us. There is no supply shortage; high gas prices are due to Wall St speculators and Koch Industries keeping oil refinement at a bare minimum to increase their profit. And natural gas? I live in PA, the biggest state in Koch brother funded hydrofracking. It gave us wonderful things, like FLAMMABLE TAP WATER.
  • Ya. Like the US can go on using oil and causing pollution, and then tell the 3rd world countries to control their uses. So. America wanna keep on polluting, and the 3rd world countries keep on cleanin the American mess. Being a Superpower really helps.

    God Bless this World.

  • @0991Eddy Do you even know what the hell you're saying? WE the United States of America help out any country that needs it (including our enemies (Pakistan)). What 3rd world country has to clean up the mess we didn't make? All you idiotic Earth hippies need to get over to China and then complain to the U.S. about our measly pollution, that contrary to popular belief, isn't that bad. L.A. is horrible, but pets be honest horrible pollution, horrible city...

  • Just the kind of deep analysis we expect from a US Senator

  • Corvette, we consume more than we produce, simple as that. Even if you start new wells today, the oil from those wells wont hot production till 2021. Waste of time. If we dont have clean cars by 2021, im REALLY going to be pissed.

  • energy is a hot topic all over the world. America might be rich in resources (which is not exactly true) but we should really think about alternative, renewable sources of energy for our cars and industry. What I hear in this video is: the world resources of oil are going down, we have some left here and we will use this - no plan for the after oil world.

  • she sounds as educated as a miss america model but not nearly as hott so there is no excuse to how dumb her demands are-_-

  • @orkid682 At least you are educated enough to search and read. Kudos to you. Now, combine that with all the oil available to us throughout our country. We have the ability to self sustain. Why don't we?

  • Quit making retarded statements on YouTube and pass a damn energy bill already. This shit should have been done 30 years ago. I'm pissed that im using gas to fill my car still. Get serious already.

  • Amen to previous comment...that said, it is not out of our reach to make coal fired power plants put proper scrubbers on their stacks to cut emissions to a fraction of what they put out now. Why are we not making solar cheaper to fabricate like China is and requiring massive cuts to the weight of automobiles to increase fuel efficiency---even Ms.Hutchinson's SUV would be efficient then! And lest we forget, she has been an advocate of nuclear power, which is neither cost effective nor safe!

  • Oil, don't make me laugh you could invest more in energy research. Scientists have already found that there is a viable way to create hydrogen fuel. This has already been implemented in places like Japan, and their emissions are water! Green energy is extremely hard to come up with, and difficult to make. There is nothing that could create more jobs than green energy. Democrats taking it back 2012!

  • @Madfoot713 are you serious? what do you call solar and wind power?

  • I wish the senator's votes matched her rhetoric.

  • google sent me here

  • How do I put Natural Gas in my Durango??

There seems to be a large disconnect here.

  • take all iraqi oil.

  • my buddy has a gov contract to go eyes on all the wells setting idle in the mid west. you cannot believe the numer of idle wells that are just sitting there.

  • those free iraqis need to start paying for the cost of that freedom. take it all. screw that wmd thing, those bastards incenerated my shipmates on uss stark back in 87. argument enough to justify iraqi freedom in my book.

  • Does she know that's not a truck?

  • @SETHFANKHAUSER Does she know she doesn't need the SUV or truck with crappy gas mileage to haul herself around in WTH is she thinking?

  • @SETHFANKHAUSER Does she know she doesn't need the SUV or truck with crappy gas mileage to haul herself around in WTH is she thinking?

  • @SETHFANKHAUSER agreed. My TRUCK takes $190 to fill from empty, bitch talking about 75...wouldnt even get me half a tank.

  • @SETHFANKHAUSER truck or SUV, does it really matter? They are both utility vehicles that run on gas.

  • She lost me at clean energy. Solar power...don't make me laugh.

  • The strongest defense a nation can have is a strong economy. That pays all of our wages right down to the guys hauling the trash. Business IS America. It doesn't matter if your a hippie pothead lecturing at Berkley. Tuition is paid from the wealth of a nation. All the wealth of a nation is derived from business originally.

  • Dead on threetails 2. I do think we should drill to the max.along with @ least 2 refineries local to the drilling. We need to restrict oil to be used by the U.S. and it;s allies. We need alternative fuel that is cost effective. The Gov. needs to get out of the subsidize business. This is a prominent reason for the push for alternative fuel. They want the Gov hand out to develop. We Sr. need a deal like that although most of us just want what we paid into all our life,.

  • Absolutely producing more domestic oil will bring prices down. It is simple common sense. We had a very healthy domestic oil program when Reagan and Bush Sr were in. The first act of Obama was to stop work on the pipeline and halted the Arctic program. Obama issues leases of land but No permits to drill. And without drilling our own oil, we can hardly think of stopping the importation of foreign oil. The only common sense thing to do is starting issuing drilling permits as fast as we can.

  • Fuck the energy bill and pass the budget bill for Christ's sake. Do your job. That's why you were elected. To do your JOB!!!!!

  • Domestic production can't fill demand. Fracking, Offshore Drilling, and Tar Sands extraction are limited sources that destroy livelihoods and the environment. As a nation, we must prudently decrease our energy consumption, and financial incentives should go away from oil and natural gas to public transportation and small business. Hutchison's audacity to deliver this message in front of an SUV demonstrates the utter lack of pragmatism and good sense amongst the supporters of big oil.

  • Her bottom line: Business is more important than national security.

"Drill baby drill" won't save us unless we ban imports and export of oil and use only our own, and the champions of the "free market" wouldn't dream of cutting off their Saudi terrorist friends.

The issue here isn't oil, it's globalization and the people who support it. Choose now: your nation or a global slave market.

  • @Kcirtap792 Sounds like tesla shit or something haha

  • lol i love how all other videos like this they have an american flag in the back ground and their sitting in some fancy office. shes standing outside infront of an SUV...

  • regardless of whether or not there is oil, it's not a clean source of energy. and for that matter, neither is natural gas. increasing gas prices is a good thing, because then hopefully it will drive people to renewable sources of energy like wind, solar, and geothermal power.

  • @jakehenry298 Well yeah, "clean energy" doesn't actually exist.

  • Maybe if our youth were not so sheltered by the media they would know about alternative energy and care about it a little more. Its in there hands. We have the technology, but not the guts to make the right decision. GM build a fully functional line of electric cars, but took them all back and destroyed them. That decision was made based off the amount of money they were receiving from what I believe is Chevron. Watch the movie WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR? Or don't. Short story is GM did it.

  • @Jaharring I had alternative energy shoved down my throat all throughout my high school years. Then I did the research myself and learned how inefficient alternative energy is. Not to say we shouldn't invest in it, but don't lecture people about how stupid and uneducated the youth are.

  • @Madfoot713 Well buddy the truth is that I am part of the youth I speak of. The Entitlement generation. It just makes me embarrassed to call myself part of this generation. As a whole we are separated from pressing issues by the media. Nobody can deny it. And please, with your scientific expertise tell me why hydrogen power is inefficient.

  • @Jaharring Well hydrogen power isn't inefficient, just dangerous. Solar and wind sort of stuff is inefficient though.

  • More oil in our own backyard and the government knows about it!

3-4 Billions barrels of oil in North Dakota. It's documented.

  • @89Corvette6spdFX3 If you take four million barrels and divide that by the 18,690,000 barrels a day for the U.S. (most recent stat. is from 2009) then you get about 214. That's how many days of oil that would give us.

  • @Jaharring Good, you can use a calculator. Now combine that with what else we have available off shore, in alaska and on elsewhere in our continental US. Now, what is the number?

  • @orkid682

Oh really? Go to the US Geological website. (usgs.gov) and type in 1911. Then come talk to us!

  • What's with all the haters?

  • @SenatorHutchison And on top of my last comment/? read the description its still un answered?

  • Shes right we need to get off of oil from other countries and become energy efficient and were not in a place to be developing new energy watch Glenn Beck if you still can't understand why there is no green market (I went to his rally in Connecticut with Bill O'Reilly and I thought it was great)

  • I disliked this not cuz it aint true but because the cost that will be on Americans like me really...Really ain't never "Helping" or "cheaper" but personally seems like a "hole to jump into"!

  • The idea that fossil fuels are the "Bread and Butter" of our energy sources still today shows we have a problem. We have all types of power. There are cars that run completely on used vegetable oil. There are cars that run only off of compressed air. There are all electric cars that can get about 230 miles off a charge. Greenland is already building the first hydrogen highway. They have developed solar charged electrolysis stations that can, with no energy cost, extract hydrogen from tap water.

  • Its really sad that our public officials get treated with such disrespect. I doubt half of you would say the things you say here to her face, and unless you're a public official I don't see how you can judge someone's intelligence or hypocrisy from a small youtube clip.

  • @Gregdafro Meaning its ok to judge others if you are a public official? Or did I get that wrong?

  • @Jaharring No, but being a public official gives you an easier perspective to assess a fellow coworker's performance, especially if you've gone through similar issues and been significantly better or worse.

  • 75$ to fill that truck? Bullshit, It costs 75$ to fill my cars 12gallon tank.

  • this cunts opposition for state senate must have been a real fuck up cause shes not even close to believable in her speaking.... and at this moment in time there are 25 people that deserve to be fucking slapped for liking this shit.! the fact that this obviously two faced bitch represents a state full of people shows how bullshit our political system is.

  • This bitch owns stock in Exxon-Mobil.

  • wow,I feel so much better now, shut up and do something about it,the problem is in the white house,I know how much gas costs Kay,but when was the last time you gassed up?Like the rest of your elite ruling class, you're out of touch with reality.

  • and she's riding an SUV... very iconic indeed..

  • @tringuyen552911 you mean ironic? but yea they're a bunch of hypocrites

  • Is she the dumbest sounding person on the planet or is that reserved for Nancy Pelosi? How do idiots like Sen. Hutchison get elected? I agree with DakotaWRS3, our federal government is acting unconstitutionally regarding energy policy. The Constitution does not allow our government to mandate individual states' energy policies.

It gave us wonderful things, like

    flammable tap water.

  • We need a comprehensive solution to this problem. Oil cannot be in our future; we must wean ourselves from our dependence on oil and invest in clean energy. Our country will be financially and environmentally secure with wind, solar and nuclear. When will we get sick of burning things for power and finally switch to clean energy?

  • @TheConormac1 You know what that's gonna lead to? A wounded economy. A lot of consumers and businesses are so dependent on oil it would result in more jobs lost, trillions of dollars Obama spends on this energy shit would just add to the national debt. It's out of the question. Investors on Wall Street are buying all the foreign oil and just siting on it which is why demand is so high. We go after them we have to drill and start fighting to bring down these gas prices, and help this country.

  • @Paul8820 Actually, renewable energy has already been positive to the US economy. The rust belt is being reinvigorated through the manufacturing of wind turbines, and Texas already has 9% of its electrical grid powered by wind. Fossil fuels damage our environment and our health. Coal, oil and gas companies are responsible for $120 Billion in health care costs through air pollution and deplete our natural resources. Changing to renewables would help us out of debt, not worsen it.

  • @TheConormac1 fossil fuels hasnt damaged our environment or anybody.. sorry its all lies. 30,000 scientists are suing the people who came up with global warming. and these Green regulations are shutting down businesses. Its getting too costly for these lower end businesses to run.

  • @nintendude60 Sorry but you are incorrect. Fossil fuels in the United States alone costs about $120 B in health care annually. The BP oil spill and the Exxon Valdez have claimed human lives and destroyed the environment. Green energy has and will save money to the United States and will lead to our energy independence.

  • @TheConormac1 The BP oil spill was an accident. The rig had just been approved by Obama, and he proclaimed it to be one of the greenest drills out there. Greeny energy regulation is destroying companies. requiring them to do things out of the way, causing them to buy un neccasary things. and the U.S. has spent billions if not trillions on this Global Warming Hoax. It has in no way saved America anything. And we have energy independence. Its called drilling our own oil.

  • @nintendude60 The BP spill was an act of negligence, just like the Exxon Valdez and many other spills. Fossil fuels undeniably damage our people and the environment, and there are countless cases to prove that fact. Additionally, if climate change is truly a hoax, what explains the melting or total disappearance of almost all the world's glaciers? We need to accept the facts and continue with legislation that helps business and the people while protecting our planet

  • @TheConormac1 man made global warming is a hoax. and so is that fact about the worlds glaciers melting. they are actually being strengthened, in the last ten years the earths average temperature has gone down. not up. secondly it wasnt an act of negligence, this RIG had just been APPROVED AND PRAISED BY OBAMA. and fossil fuels dont damage our people and environment.

  • @nintendude60 I do not believe that the pictures of melted glaciers are photo-shopped, or that the videos showing a measured decline in glaciers are made up. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. When we pumps billions of tons of it into the atmosphere the temperature rises. Obama approved offshore drilling, but not the construction of a rig that was built in a negligent way to save cash. That rig, which mines oil (a fossil fuel) exploded, killing workers and ruining parts of the gulf.

  • @TheConormac1 wow dude. those pictures were taking during that Glaciers summer months.. it melts and comes back during the winter. Carbon Dioxide is all around us. The temperature is not rising because of this. its been proven it isnt. 30,000 scientists are suing every scientist for saying that man made global warming is true. That specific oil rig had just been approved and praised by Obama. and secondly it didnt explode. it broke under water, then it exploded. you sir need to learn some..

  • @nintendude60 When you increase the parts per million of C02 by 100 in a century, the atmosphere changes.

  • @TheConormac1 actually it hasnt changed at all. maybe in the cities just a tad. but for the entire earth. it hasnt changed out of its normal pattern. sorry. but thats a myth. and its been busted.

  • @TheConormac1 some actual facts.

  • @nintendude60 I'm sorry, but these stats and videos are actual facts. Look up "Himalayan glacier climate change" and you will find that the glaciers are melting meters during the summer time versus past summers. The Himalayan glacier does not disappear during the summer months because it feeds the Ganges River. Glaciers do not normally disappear in the summer, the images found online show how the glaciers have receded over a short period of time...

  • @TheConormac1 Ask any educated marine biologist about the state of the oceans, and he/she will undoubtedly bring up acidification, caused by an increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The answer is clear: Most credible scientists believe in it, and skepticism and denial just make innovating harder for citizens and business

  • @TheConormac1 again my friend. u say "educated" these educated marine biologist are sitting in a office. living off government grants. these marine biologists who are not payed off grants do not believe in this stuff. nor do the climatatologists. US Today did say that.. AGAIN your TWISTING WORDS. they "BELIEVE" in Climate change. NOT MAN-MADE GLOBAL WARMING. again these glaciers are following normal patterns. and secondly the earth has cooled since the year 2000. fact.

  • @nintendude60 US Today stated that 97% of climatologists believe in man-made climate change, you can look it up. Climate change is not caused by the sun, according to the Guardian. Marine biologists from all kinds of different backgrounds believe in anthropogenic climate change. Textbooks to news reports have all expressed worry over warming and suggest change. My sources are credible and numerous, and all come to the same conclusion; you pump a greenhouse gas in large quantities in...

  • @TheConormac1 it didnt say man-made global warming. it just said climate change. climate changed isnt caused by the sun? wtf? u realize what ur saying? the sun gives this planet warmth. and the heat moves tha air. if it wasnt for the sun wed be a frozen iceball. textbooks has always been biased by its writers. news reports have always been biased. secondly we arent pumping greenhouse gases in large quantities. 2/3 of this world is covered by ocean.

  • @TheConormac1 again. people do not make up a lot of this world. take a walk outside. or a plane ride. and all you will see for miles on end is trees. the open fields. desert. wherever u are. but very little man made substances. the world is more massive than you think.

  • @nintendude60 Our world is small. half tge world's forests have been cut, 30% of reefs destroyed or heavily damaged, 90% of big fish taken from the ocean, and over half the world's wetlands gone. Jared Diamond, who wrote Collapse and Guns, Germs and Steel, cites several civilizations who have fallen primarily from self-created environmental disasters. He writes that climate change is man-made.

  • @TheConormac1 half the worlds forest has been cut, true but these forests also grow back. 30% of reefs has been damaged but not by us, but by other natural causes. 90% of big fish?? where did that number come from? no one has any idea how many fish are in the ocean, we know more about the moon than we do about our own ocean. please brother. do some research and dont simply listen to Green people speeches about pure idiocy.

  • @nintendude60 While forests can grow back, it takes hundreds of years to return to its natural state. 30% of reefs have been damaged by increasing bleaching, agricultural pollution and dynamite fishing. The Florida Keys and Cozumel reefs are examples of human made degradation. The statistic of 90% of big fish comes from National Geographic, CNN and PBS. In 2006, we removed approximately 7 Trillion fish from the ocean. We also remove 3.3 tons yearly from the oceans...

  • @TheConormac1 to its natural state.. u never been in a forrest have u? theres no difference between a forrest that is logged every 5-20 years depending on the type of wood, and a regular forrest. again. these statistics.. about the ocean. we know absolutely nothing about the ocean. no scientist does. 7 trillion fish. sounds about right. thats im gonna say 1 millionth of the fish in the ocean? although i dont approve of dumping waste into the ocean. There are some enironmental...

  • @nintendude60 In concern to fish, we don't eat all the fish in the entire ocean. We consume only certain species at ridiculous rates. Additionally, scientists do know a lot about the ocean; oceanography and marine biology have been essential subjects for over a century. Scientists know enough about the ocean to be concerned about our effect on it. For example, the "ocean garbage patch" is a swirling current of plastic the size of Texas. We understand our impact enough to make....

  • @TheConormac1 .. changes and if necessary, regulations.

  • @TheConormac1 again your not using any common sense. CO2. again 80% of the CO2 in the air goes to the seaweed. and look how many treees we have on the land. and plants. The difference between old forrests and new forrests is absolutely no difference. none. none at all. and scientists have no idea about the ocean. only close to the shore do they know anything. And we have absolutely no idea how many fish are actually in the ocean. therefore ur assumption of over-killing is wrong. and invalid.

  • @nintendude60 It is common sense that there are differences between a forest that has never been cut down and a forest that has (including soil erosion, biodiversity, capability as a carbon sink, etc.). Most of the ocean are well understood up to the continental break, where most of the offshore fisheries exist. That is why scientists are able to estimate the size of fisheries and make essential predictions. Additionally, the oceans..

  • @TheConormac1 oh jeez u think the fish u know might go off the continental drift? or some might come in? and there is no difference between the forrests. i live all around them. and theres absolutely no difference. and their is no deforstation going on. the trees are being re-planted for further use. as logs or paper or w/e. i mean this is so much common sense, if you get out in the real world. these scientists are making these predictions based on models that have false information.

  • @nintendude60 absorb only 50% of the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere (NOAA). The oceans absorb CO2 chemically and through phytoplankton (so phytoplankton absorb less than 50% of CO2 emissions). That is why scientists are doubly worried about deforestation, because the dead trees emit CO2 and the logging eliminates the region as a carbon sink. Please use information from legitimate sources, or least cite, if want to have a credible argument.
