@yocuzz100 Cool looking plane too. More sleek, but not as grand as the 747 :) And did you forget about the geared turbofan? I think Pratt is a few years ahead of Rolls.
@remodrums33 well somebody below started it...by saying P&W was ahead of Rolls Royce...and He is American so I rest my case! And what does He base that on? I know people who work in Rolls Royce Aero Engines so .........there!
@davetherave7 Im agree... O'leary is just a big pile of trash.. that fucking idiot manage to come to Norway,to introduce their new livery with bye bye Norwegian Air Shuttle on it... what a rude piece of shit man...
@mrwideboy Yea.. they say they have MINIMUM of everything within maintainance that is needed for flights in EU airspaces... they have actually no fatalaties at all,but i agree with you... it will happen sooner or later... most likely like you say,sooner... Before i actually thought it was just something that was said about them, but everything is true...
@davetherave7 haha, he would never buy an A380 partly because it costs as much as all 235 737's he has (probably) but moslty because he's tighter than a ducks arse!
@FlyGuyPerson Well, Ryan Air have an extra charge for amost everything these days. Its only a matter of time before they start charging to use the toilet - £5 for a number 1 and £15 for a number 2. One payment covers the whole flight :)
I am pretty sure they are switching out the RR Trent 900's with GE90's or something now since the flight with Qantas Australia A380 when Engine 2 = RR Trent 900 Exploded putting a recall on their engines.

...how about doing a BARREL-ROLL for the camera??!!! All these low-passes are getting BORING already. Lets see some BARREL-ROLLS in jumbo jets already.
If you have even a slight hint of how planes work, you would that even for twin engined aircraft smaller than 747/A380 would surely crash if it so much as attempted a barrel roll, just look at the b52 incident, that only banked a little too much and lost its lift.
European companys that are subsidized by american money (through default) Most people have no idea that the American Fed has been paying for everything for the last 70 years.
This is a LOW PASS , not a go around or aborted landing ! , not actualy sure you could put this down at Hawarden airport (broughton,Chester) , if you could you certainly wouldnt get it out again :-).... The Wings for airbus planes are built here and when first launched they brought the A380 over low to Hawarden to show the workers !...
@onlyFS9 That could be, except the guy in the video says "watch his engines when he picks up again." Conservative factory fly over with all the precautions probably.
Very nice plane. Sad that they are looking for a way out of producing it. They can't sell or deliver it. They have only delivered 42 of these things since 2001 and need to sell another 205 planes just to break even.
It just isn't efficient enough and there are very few routs that require the seating of more than 450+ people.
They have some hope in the cargo variant but the 747-8f is 25% more efficient.
@airbusisawesome That was a 'fly-by' if you listen to the commetary he says 'listen to the engine as he picks up speed again' and due to health and safety rules, regulations and laws we have in this country they have to have the gear down.
@mochmon Ok. I'm sorry (really, not sarcastically) for not being more informed before speaking. One note: I meant aborted landing in my previous comment, not takeoff. I just thought that because it came down, began to flare, and then seemed to abort, retracting the flaps and the gear. The one thing that Airbus needs to improve on is their flybys. Currently, they stink compared to Boeing. Even A320 vs. 747. Otherwise, Airbus rules. Thanks, and sorry about everything.
@Thepylot78 Yea, you're right...I meant the last statement as a joke due to the airplane climbing a bit halfway down the runway. I saw a video of the A380's flight display at farnborough 2008, it proved that the A380 isn't sluggish at all...:)
