Please! I appreciate that Hannity let Sarah Palin talk. Unfortunately, he pitched softball, leading questions that played to her gift of gab. Nothing she said indicates a command of the issues that confront our nation. Sarah's viewpoint on the necessity for drilling in Alaska is a self-serving one for Alaskans, not Americans. Hannity should have asked her how many barrels of recoverable oil lie beneath the Alaskan tundra and how big a dent they would make in our needs.

Palin might as well have been interviewed by one of her children. And the 'strategery' of protecting her from the national press, but allowing her to swap spit with a Republican operative like Hannity will not serve her well when she has no choice but to step on the stage with Biden.

Sarah talks as if it was her idea to give Alaskans their Permanent Fund Dividend checks. The PFD was set up in 1983 after the Alaskan legislature decided that all Alaskans should share in the wealth of it's natural resources (oil). Alaskans have been receiving these yearly checks since then. This year Palin did give each Alaskan an additional $1200 energy subsidy to every man, woman and child that was eligible and applied for the PFD.

This is a GOP political ad "gifted" by Sean Hannity to McCain. Palin talks endlessly without interruption while Hannity shoots her leading questions. At one point Hannity leans back and says he has all the time in the world to listen and then Palin says, "Okay, then we'll talk about....." WHAT? Since when does the interviewee conduct the interview? Since when does the interviewer ask questions that are statements? Oh, that's right, only on Fox News!

Why is Palin popular? Because she can talk, and discuss issues well. The public is tired of liberalism and environmentalists that lobby against any energy development beyond what is now current. We need to spend our dollars within the USA for energy need. Use our own resources; hire our own citizens for the energy we use. That's why God gave us natural resources--not to kept it hidden away and not used. We stop manufacturing and let China produce smog in their cities. Hypocritical.
