@MsShoosh1 They come from Frisia, in The Netherlands. I live in Frisia, and when I go to school by bike I see some Frisian Horses in the polder. Shoot, funny sight while I'm not such an horselover,aha.

@MsShoosh1 These horses come from Friesland not Frisia (hihi) They breeders all over the world. I don't own any friesians but i take care of 4 and since of yesterday evening 5. They say friesian have cool temperment but that's not always so, because most of them are now bred to be more like sporthorses.

@DjuraVH Friesians come from Holland, prefecture Friesland, all the way up North of the country. Long ago, they were used for trotting competitions, mostly held on the street. Now, they are very popular in pleasure riding (dressage).

@liztchan I know i'm from Friesland. They mostly were used to be a proud status symbol when people went to church and other events, but that way back. I know they did trotting competition the riders were dressed in traditional clothing and ride them practacly bare back with only a bridle. My english isn't that great i know.

i love friesians too!! My favorite breed. I actually am lucking enough to ride one and was suppost to lease him but a month ago his owners took him and I dont know if he is coming back. I sure hope so. I love him alot. He was the first horse I ever jumped on! He and I were really going somewhere.

i agree with you about fresians being your FAV horse breed cause thats my FAV breed of horse tooo and my wall are sooooooo coverd with fresian posters that you can't see my wall at all and i also own one
