  • BEAST of a track!

  • what else is left so say, than just one word: "perfect" lyrics, "perfect" song, just so "perfect"

  • I want their album!!

  • you shouldnt make this available to non pledgers

    fail to you sir

  • @dkdamoa InMe made this available to everyone. I haven't even gotten around to pledging yet.

  • Comment removed

  • this song is a real grower

  • I'm still trying to recover from Reverie Shores blowing my mind.

  • i think this is a great song sung badly by a good band

  • @TheAlbinoskunk Sung badly?! Dave's one of the only people who sings how he wants to sing - he doesn't sound like a yank or trying to be something he isn't.

  • @1985BBray This album is many things but sung badly it is not. Dave is a powerhouse!

  • what a fucking weird albuum cover :L i love it!

  • @teddy4dvids Its an actual Sea Lion lol

  • Awesome, might get tickets for the Dolan's gig in March

  • If you pledge you get to hear Silver Womb and Halcyon Genesis too and they both fucking ruin this in terms of how good they are.

  • What an absolute tune.

  • Instantly put a smile on my face :)

  • Suppose I'll chip in, didn't like it at first, now it's grown on me and I think it will sound better in the context of the album. I also find it hilarious when people say OE is they're best album, I understand the nostalgia element, but it really is an awful, awful record :P

  • @theroseoftralee Firefly and Neptune were good but WB was a huge step up I think.

  • @iamlionproductions wb was a massive step up but firefly and neptune where the worst songs on that album

  • @23ffaf you think that step up was massive? Daydream blows WB away.

  • @kamikaze90watermelon I agree with you 100% I wasn't to impressed with WB

  • @kamikaze90watermelon Right on!

  • @theroseoftralee you seem to know fuck all.

  • @theroseoftralee OE is a classic, maybe poorly produced but what do you expect from their debut, WB was more refined. there first two albums are the best

  • @MRTTVD Different strokes and all that I suppose, but you can't really blame production. At that point they had more than they've ever had since and Colin Richardson (the god damn legend) produced it.

  • @MRTTVD totally agree there. fell in love with the OE eden album as soon as heard it, and led to many gigs to follow, WB was a brilliant tour, including songs from both albums. Even tho i enjoy the never stuff also, nowt beats 1 of the older tracks kickin in every time i see em. Bring on March. ;)

  • @MRTTVD how anyone can rate the songwriting on OE above the stuff on DA is beyond me. Quantum leaps ahead.

  • @kamikaze90watermelon just a matter of opinion at the end of the day

  • @MRTTVD I guess, but there's a lot to be said for even dave himself not liking a large chunk of that album musically.

  • @theroseoftralee you are mad sir. Overgrown Eden is one of the best grunge albums ever. Its Superunknown by SoundGarden, In Utero by Nirvana, Overgrown Eden and Pearl Jam's Ten. They were just late to the party is all :)

  • @CorvinusBand You are correct sir =) But don't be forgetting Alice in Chains - Dirt!

  • @Dolorosakil Ah we'd never forget that, but it just missed the top list ;)

  • @theroseoftralee OE an awful record? Disagree so much! Considering their age and innovativeness of that album, it is one of the most regrettably forgotten (mainstream wise) debut albums a rock band has ever produced. Fair enough i'm biased as a major fan.. but it was the feeling of that record that was the foundation of where I stand to day as such a dedicated, passionate fan; and the album has some absolute gems.

  • @inmepete Some things are opinion, other things are just fact. And fact is, OE is a great album. End of discussion really :P

  • Anybody who has pledged for InMe can you do the same for another unique band Vertical Horizon?

  • Hmmm, this is a better lead single than Single Of The Weak but im still left a bit disappointed in true honesty. InMe were on to a winner with Daydream Anonymous but just feel they have lost their way over the last couple of albums but lest not judge until we recieve the finished product, we will judge then!!

  • @DeejmeisterOfficial How you can be disappointed with this is beyond me!

  • @EvolynHeartsMusic It seems i may have to eat my words, didnt really like it at first but it looks like its a grower, ive had a change of heart. Still dont think it will be the best track on the album, the clips of Reverie Shores and Moonlit Seabed sound epic!

  • Hm, I have nothing at all positive to say about this song and it's annoying because I DO love Inme... but I guess most of the bands I like have an album or two I don't like. It was going well with Inme uptil now... then again, the album isn't out yet, so lets all wait and see what the rest of it sounds like. For me personally, I'm not expecting anything as good, or half as good as my two favourites, which were OE and HM... now with my hopes lowered, maybe I'll listen to this for what it is...

  • @Dolorosakil Without wanting to sound negative. Most bands have a 'bad album.' Think about it, it happens and if it hasn't happened to a band yet, it will. Nirvana- In utero is the best example...

  • @TOMdavies95 Wait, what? In Utero is one of my favourite albums of all time. Totally prefer it to Nevermind!

  • @Dolorosakil Haha I like it but most people consider it their bad album! I don't agree but it's the best example I can think of!

  • @TOMdavies95 Oh! Heh, do they? They're crazyyy then! :P In Utero I feel is the best, but I love them all.

  • @Dolorosakil It's a tie between Nevermind and In Utero for me tbh.... Nevermind is the more overexposed one though so...

On another motherfucking note. The motherfucking Pride man!!! You heard it buddy? Great stuff! Even this song has grown on me!! :D :D :D

  • @TOMdavies95 in utero is INCREDIBLE

  • @pukeyourguts I love in utero too but many consider it their bad album.

I don't agree, believe me, I think it's amazing, but most people think it was terrible.

  • This does sound very different from everything theyve done and it might not be the best but there is no doubt that the songwriting is in another league compared to the past albums. I really get the impression that every single element of this song has a purpose, and that is something very impressive, atleast from a songwriting perspective.

  • @Goranmusicofficial I disagree. Some of the transitions in this are appalling. That bridge comes out of nowhere and sucks the momentum out. The verses do the same The chorus is good but tries to hard to be anthemic. They didn't have to try back in the day, they just were. It's like they're trying too hard to write a really hooky song. Play to your strengths dave!

Which begs the question, has there ever been an album where the focus is on songs that has turned out good? Except the black album?

  • @kamikaze90watermelon I hear nothing wrong with the transitions and there is so much more to songwriting than just that. But i agree that the chorus isnt anthemic but on the other hand i never had the impression that it was supposed to be anthemic.

Diamond Eyes by Deftones is an example of a stunning "song-focused" album.

  • @Goranmusicofficial How can you not? It's like here is one section, now here all of a sudden is another almost unrelated section with no attempt at making it flow. It's really blunt. And Dave has admitted several times that this album is 100% about anthemic hooks, so yes it is.

By song focused album, i mean an album in which a band has come out before and said !this album is going to be about the songs". Deftones did not do that for diamond eyes (great album).

I know InMe are better than this!

  • To add though: I shall reserve judgement 'till I get the CD in my hands, as we all should!

  • Been an avid fan since Overgrown Eden. I love the band and how they've grown, especially through all the ups and downs and I've pretty much adored everything they've released.

Herald Moth was a bit up and down for me personally, but overall it was enjoyable. After hearing this and a few samples from The Pride, though, I may be inclined to agree with some of the negative comments. I don't doubt for a second the skill and effort put into the album, but at the moment it's a bit "not for me".

  • I love this song. I cant wait for this Album :) the best thing about its release date is its my Birthday what a brilliant Birthday that will me.

  • Omg can't wait :3

  • Should this really be on here before the album release?

  • Not as good as there old albums

  • Its ok i guess not as good as their others tho lol

  • decent, but it doesn't sound as good as the last album. hopefully i'll be wrong...

  • i get the feeling this could be a bad album... massive fan of all the others but really unsure of what i've heard from the pride :S

  • @jkenny Ikr? :/

Keep the faith I suppose though, there's 9 other tracks to hear before we condemn it eh? :D

  • @TOMdavies95 True, we'll have to wait and see, but before this, as much as I DID and DO like White Butterfly, it was my least favourite, so for the fact they said they were going back to a more WB sound, I knew I'd be disapointed, but this doesnt even sound as good as 7 Weeks, Faster the Chase, etc. I love the ballads on WB, but the 'heavier' songs were pretty weak, its a shame this sounds even weaker :/

  • @Dolorosakil This album is supposed to be really a combination of White butterfly and Herald Moth and I didn't like Herald Moth other than Belief Revival, Single of the weak and I will honour you. I must admit I LOVE WB (not as much as OE but still!) but this sounds too much like HM. Can't blame them because HM went down a storm (A master storm? :P) with everyone but me so obviously that was going to happen but I'm preparing to be disappointed... (Happy to Disappoint me anyone? :P NO! No more!)

  • @TOMdavies95 Nahhh =P The band said it's meant to be a mix between WB and DA. I like Daydream Anonymous a lot, but wasn't keen overal on WB. I can't hear any HM in this new stuff really. They wrote a whole new album of material that was closer to HM but scrapped all but two songs, the songs that remained were the two songs from the 'Best of'. And ah I didn't like 'Single of the weak' and I thought 'I will honour you' was one of their weakest ballads, so funny you pick those =P

  • @Dolorosakil I think the DA sound worked well when it was just Dave on guitar but it's just clashing sounds with the guitars here and on HM. I think they are better with the extra guitarist and it helps the sound but it seems like a loud congested sound when the riffs don't complement each other.. Like there's no real sound to it, just a loud mess. The guitars clash horribly and I found HM exactly the same. I'm a huge InMe fan but I can only hope that the rest of the album is an improvement.

  • @jkenny Agreed 100%. Not liking this at all :/

  • @Dolorosakil Halcyon Genesis is better. A bit one paced though. They've removed most of the twiddly riffs which was their strength IMO.

  • @kamikaze90watermelon they still have songs with twiddly riffs on the new album by the sounds of the album sampler mate... you'll probs like the sound of silver womb and reverie shores

  • @123lightnion Yeah. Reverie Shores was the best on the sampler along with Halcyon Genesis but that turned out a bit long winded. What I loved about InMe was that they wrapped all the technical stuff around a good song. DayDream Anonymous absolutely nails it and is one of the best records of the past 10 years but no one knows it. HM was a bit heavier and the songs suffered a bit because of it. This seems to go the other way. it's not techy and the songs aren't as good as DA. Not good at all.

  • @kamikaze90watermelon Where did you hear these other songs/samples dude(s)? \m/

  • @kamikaze90watermelon Oh, I'll have a listen. I hope I like the other songs because I'm seriously considering not buying this album, and it'll be my first Inme album I'm not excited for :/ Herald Moth was so solid!

  • @Dolorosakil This is the worst track on the sampler. if you pledge, you can download Halcyon Genesis which is much better and is everything the album promised to be, really hooky and epic sounding. Flows nicely too.

  • @kamikaze90watermelon Ahh cheers dude \m/

And yeah, I can imagine, I know what you mean, it's a shame. For me, personally, the best Inme would have those angsty vocals of OE and the metallic- edge of Herald Moth, with the ballad quality of songs like Chamber and White Butterfly. Ah well.

  • nice

  • I love this SO SO MUCH! :D

  • Love love love :) x

  • Stunning, Makes my heart tickly

  • InMe NEVER fail!

  • "like" if shaun sent you here :')

  • @ArtiEmz Who??

  • @iamlionproductions just my friend put it as his msn status ahah dont worry xD

    awesome song, love INME! :D

  • @iamlionproductions well said rofl.. shot that wannabe top commenter in flames..

  • This album is going to be awesome! but nothing can beat Daydream Anonymous.

  • The last 30 seconds of this song sends chills down my spine.

God I love this band :)

  • not sure about the electonic verses or the transition into the bridge but DAT chorus.
