THIS WAS ONE OF THE FUNNIEST THINGS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN ON TV. I USED TO MAKE SURE THAT WHAT EVER I WAS DOING I WAS IN FRONT OF MY TV ON THURSDAY AT 8 PM.......THEN WHEN "A DIFFERENT WORLD" CAME ON I HAD TO WATCH THAT ONE TOO. OMG LISA BONET WAS THE FINEST THING WALKING..........MAN
People can talk about Sinfield and Friend's all they way, but there has never been a show quite like the Cosby Show. It was a great family, drama, comedy. It's one of the best all-around shows ever created with great writing and acting. Almost every thing you would need in the show, they had it. I'm sure a few more controversial topics could have been touched, but I've yet to see a show quite like this one to this day.
This is pure Huxtable CLASSIC comedy at its best! I remember this well! As far as the imperfections, well, that's what made it all the more funny! We, as a family, laughed until we cried when this first was shown.
ima have to go wit phylicia rashad on this one. lisa bonet was hot but i remember bein a kid and bein so fascinated by ms rashad and her beauty. she was so feminine and sexy. all the women on the show were attractive tho. i used to play the vhs tapes in slow mo and watch phylicia rashad. lol.
@djmixnmagic. You know, to each his own, but I feel you on this one. For me, this is has to be one of the funniest moments in television history. I don't think I ever laughed harder. Cept in HARLEM NIGHTS when the champ walked in and had the major stuttering problem! lol
@djmixnmagic Just classic! Rudy was great. The other ep I love is when they teach Theo about bills and Rudy is the "landlord / accountant" with the glasses on...too funny!
Generally speaking, the music was such a huge part of what made the Cosby Show so wonderful and special to me. Always appreciated how Bill Cosby was able to incorporate his love for music into the show. And boy, did he have great taste in music, just fantastic:)
This was classic! Watching Cosby as a kid was like a ritual in my household. It was the only all Black show on tv that time and it was a BIG deal back then. This episode was a classic one and funny!
My all time favorite show on TV. Thie greatest episode of the cosby show and the greatest part of the show. This is when I got into listening at blues music. Rudy was so cute back in the day.
rudy was so adorable i wonder if she wayches herself on tv now that the cosby show is on the cosby show was the show that waz happening in the old days
@CHECHEloveful Raven??? She wasn't even alive when this episode aired. The little girl is Kiesha Knight Pullam[sp?] she played Rudy. and if you're old then I'm ancient cause I was about two years older than Rudy at the time of this episode and its my faaaaaaaaave!
I agree it's a pity she wasn't in the show anymore - but her performance in "Angel Heart" was simply great for such a young actress! The movie itself may be terrifying - strictly for an adult audience - but it's an Alan Parker Masterpiece, starring a great DeNiro and maybe Mickey Rourke's best performance ever! ...IMHO...
Bill & Lisa had their creative differences no doubt, but the reason Lisa was temporarily let go wasn't because of "Angel Heart," it was because she was pregnant with Zoe Kravitz. Bill Cosby didn't want to tarnish the show's squeaky clean image with the idea of a college-aged "Denise Huxtable" being with child.
@serenityluvsgod I don't think she was kicked off. I am pretty sure that was her decisiona and Cosby worked with her as much as possible to help her in life and keep her on the show.
I think this episode of the Cosby's started my love of blues music....A few years later I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to live 20 minutes from Beale Street. Walking down the street drinking either Hurricanes & Brass Monkeys, sweltering in the humidity and listening some of the best music i've experienced to date coming out of the nightclubs that I was too young and broke to get into.
you didnt need to put on no homo. unless you are that homophobic enough to think that any "HOMO" would be sexually attracted to rudy. dont be so defensive on the internet.
I mean my all time FAV was this episode with them singing (musical) episode that is. If you haven't got the first season on DVD ... get it. This is in that one.
