This is a beautiful song i am just glad that i came across it as i have saved as a favourite. This is a must have song to carry you through the stresses of the day.
How many angels on the head of a pin, how many cabs in New York City, how many notes in a saxaphone, how many tears in a bottle of beer? How many ways can you lose a friend?? Too true.
He played the most amazing version of this song at the Sydney Festival in January 2008, as the support act to Brian Wilson. I wish I could find a recording of it, it sounded even better than the album version, it haunts me to this day...
The bands that my folks and me saw would kick these little faggots asses! Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Judas Priest, REO Speedwagon, TOJO, AIr Supply... not this shit!
@AmericaRulesYouDrool arent you missing the point? and yes...sniggers......air supply? my sister likes air supply...she also likes mills and boon...pointless, i like mordred and slayer, but its a useless comparison..like saying meshuggah could kick Bachs arse...you dont like that genre, fair enough, you cant appreciate that kind of song writing fair enough, but to mention hair bands like air supply...id be very embarassed if i were you...
Thats a delusion little fella... Paul Kelly's lyrics are studied in Highschools across the world for he is the master. Rock on Paul Kelly!!! And I'm here to confirm there are more homosexuals in the bands you mentioned (that is fact) ... do your research! and good for them... rock on homosexuals too... ha!
Didn't your beloved America spawn the likes of Micheal Jackson.. I bet you went to his shows too you retard.. Don't worry, I understand why you are sad, because you are poor and can't actually afford a plane flight to Australia and have to view the world from your trailer park !
I love the way this clip ends, with them all jamming after everyone else has left the reception. Only thing that would've made it better would've been someone waking up on the bathroom floor the morning after looking like they'd had a wild piss-up!
I remember this song back from 1989, I'd hear it in the car when Mum would play the tape of his new album 'So Much Water (So Close to Home). He played the most beautiful acoustic version of this song in The Domain at the start of last year. I'm still trying to find a video of him playing a live cover that sounds as good as it did that day!
I challenge you to find a better song with just the same three chords played for three minutes
