My father just got one of these and he loves it. I own a 2009 BMW 328i Convertible, so I am pretty much used to everyone giving me compliments. One thing that really scares me is the safety on the Lexus IS convertible. The so-called "roll over bars" aren't even high enough. Basically if you roll over in your Lexus IS convertible, you are dead because those roll bars won't protect a thing. My BMW convertible has roll bars that pop up if I roll over .. Sad Lexus couldn't think of that..

@LoveTheCity123 When I saw this video, my first thought was "wow..those fixed roll bars look awful short." Then when I saw how close the rear roof was to them, I instinctively knew they would offer minimal protection. To their credit, I will say this was a move in the right direction. But nothing beats the roll bars on MB & BMW..and while your dads car will probably be more reliable ( I drive a MB S-Class & only dream of Toyota reliability)..your car will be safer..and better looking too..lol.

Once again, Lexus drops the ball by making another unsafe convertible with no pop-up roll bars. They didn't even give it side impact air bags! And don't bother telling me that convertibles rarely roll-over or don't really need them pop-up roll bars. I guess Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW & VW spend all that money on safety research & put roll bars on their convertibles for no reason at all, right? Totally irresponsible company that doesn't give a shit about the lives of the people who buy their cars.

The IS C has 6 airbags as standard equipment, including side airbags with head protection and driver and front passenger knee airbags that are unique to the segment. You may have noticed the fixed rear roll bars. It also comes with a sophisticated Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management stability system and a radar based pre-collision system is also available.

This car has a very high level of safety equipment when compared to other convertibles.

theres a key inside the keyless remote in which you can use if the remote is somehow damaged... although im not sure how it works haha

It's actually very simple. What happens is if the key runs out of battery (which it will over the course of about 2-3 years), you pop the little metal key out and remove the cover on the driver's door. There's a key slot there that works like any normal car. After that, to start the car, you just have to get the remote near the start button and it will read something off the chip and will allow the car to start.

I've had to do this a couple of times this year with my ES350.

Great car. The other competitors in this class somehow feel much more appealing. I guess the consumers this is targeting are the concervative and mature. Should be interesting to watch the sales figures as this goes up against the competition.

And one other thing, the G37 convertible next year, will prove real competition, because these cars will have real stiff competition with their german counterparts.

And the g37 is good looking as well, and it has a 3.7 v6 :)

This is one convertible for Both genders.

Its also one of the most beautiful cars to be recentley produced IMO (for like £20000-£30000).

And It is one of the best built and most confortable convertibles available today.

I think this is much better than the 3 series, because it simply looks better, and is better value than tha audi offering, and more young and stylish than the mercedes offering.

This is probably the car ill get when im around 21

The IS-F is good for actually carrying people around in, and using as a general everyday car, in which u can do everything in. It will also be much more fun to drive.

However if you do want something as beautiful as the Is350c, get that, but remember that you will be sacrficing some usability,

Both cars will get you head turning looks by the way, and the IS350c ride will be more confortable than the Is-F

How does this look like the Bmw 3 series. It looks beautiful. The 3 series has the worst rear end shape of any convertible, however I prefer the Infiniti G37 coupe.
