Denna in the books was much more easy to understand why she did those terrible things to richard, deleated sceens like this were NEEDED, although I must admit the book did take WAY TO MUCH TIME with this part...
Why didn't they show this clip in the released version? There was nothing wrong with it, I thought, and I found it rather touching in a sad, tragic sort of way. It added a lot more emotion to that episode and I was surprised when Richard mentioned her father. I had forgotten she had one. How evil of me!
this is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite episodes. His first Kiss with Kahlan. His belief that she'd walked away from him. He fell into the hands of Denna, it' was his first time alone w/ Kahlan or Zedd. He developed feelings for Denna, But he LOVED Kahlan, and hurt her to protect her. " I would rather be a slave to you!" he told Kahlan, just AMAZING. THEN from then on out, everytime he ran into Denna, there a glimmer of that connection he developed with her, an almost LOVE-HATE relationship
What is so great about this episode is that finally here is a hero who is human and not superhuman. There came a point when his body and his mind could not longer tolerate the torture and the pain that eventually overwhelmed his will to resist. And he surrendered all power to Denna, who control over his mind had become far greater than his power to resist. Surrender to her will was the only way to stop the pain --- both physical and mental.
1.45, i swear craig has spots on his chest and whats with the weird outfits on those other "mord sith"? I agree motownazn, i wish theyd kept these bitd, their really good, showing denna more human, like in the books, i dont like what they did to denna in this tv series, but its all still awsome............i cant believe they cancelled legend of the seeker!!!!!!
@motownazn LOL, I'm goning to go pull out my DVD and watch this ep right now! Bad thing is I have so much to do, If I start one ep I'll probably just watch 'em all. LOL.
