Does anyone know if this MB has been updated so as to allow SLI? I got 2 Nvidia cards, 8800 GTS, both relatively cheap, and noticed that no bridge was provided with this. And I was hoping I'd be able to use them both on this board.

I know the extra core's a gamble but i was just wondering if i'm screwed anyway thanks to the bios... Thanks.

@DeAmoN9TaileDFoX I have an old Ta770A2+ motherboard by biostar which has been running fine for about 3 or four years now. I have two capacitors near the ram that are swelling, however, that was due to overheating when I upgraded to a Athlon 64 x2 6000+ and I had an aluminum case with only one 80mm exaust fan. Even with the swelling capacitor's, the thing runs with no problems. Technically, I could fit a Phenom II x4 940 AM2+ CPU in it with no issues.

Seriously man a great oc, great fsbus capas, and 2x crossfire slots.. comes with Sata cables, and ribbons. 1000mbs, 80$. What more could you ask for on a board, I just bought this and it's really a steal, unlocks all four cores stable at 1.6volts for the Callisto x2 550 be, need modded bios though, to all the tseries owners what's up.

I am looking for a bit of help here. Running this motherboard with phenom. When I boot, the drives spin and the so does the cpu fan, but nothing on the display. I think it gets stuck on phase 2. Not sure if it is the motherboard or the processor. Any troubleshooting tips?

phase 2 is supposed to be a processor error. I moved the ram sticks over 2 slots and re installed the processor and its fan.

I also replaced the case to prevent short circuiting.

Sorry if it doesn't helps, but that is what I got it to work for me.

Everyone that asked about what you can crossfire x with. It is in the guide your motherboard came with. i believe you can only crossfire a HD 3300 with a 3450 or 3470.

Make sure you get a mobo with the 128mb of Sideport Memory for your Radeon HD3300 Integrated Graphics Processor. The 128 mb of memory is VRAM that softens the blow of the IGP sharing your physical ram. The Radeon will drain an additional 512 of your physical ram so that effectively gives you a 640mb with shader 3.0 GPU MINUS the big pipes that PCI Express 2.0 x16 offers. That makes it equivalent to somewhere around a Geforce 7800 AGP card. Sorry no techical info, just believe me.

Go check it yourself. AM3 Chips work on AM2+ Boards. However you don't get the same benefits as a AM3 chip on an AM3 board. I should know because I own this board.

I have the version that has the 128mb side port memory TA790gx A2 128mb, Amd Athlon 64x2 5000+, 4gb of G.skill pc6400 ram, two Wd 160gb Ide hard drives in a Ultra Aluminus with the Ultra V series 500watt psu and im surprised that the on board video can handle need for speed undercover on mid settings pretty well.

I have this board with a chilltec (real large) on top of the 9850 phenom chip, and true I had that problem with the LARGE corsair heatsink ram chips, I sent them back and got the much SHORTER ram chips (2x4gig ram chips that are suppose to go up to 1066mhz) and they have 2 heatsink plates 1 on each side of each ram chip.

That's how I solved that, they fit under the chilltec with about an inch of space between them.

That's the pisser. 16G of ram will never fit. The new corsair ram has needed higher heat sinks for that kind of memory, OK. Then the CPU like a 9950 will fit. But how are you going to install a needed CPU giant fan and heat sink without hitting the higher heat sink on the newer RAM. Someones going to have to engineer and newer motherboard. This stuff just don't pop right in. I'm going to make my first video on how to install a fan on a 9950 CPU and Corsair XMS2 X2 matched duels=8G ram. Won't

 Mobo's are starting to get to junked up with to many jumpers to mess with. I want a nice clean board to run only SATA, HDMI, USB2, DVI, PCIE 1+2 etc

That way they can finally build a Mobo that will let you just pop on a now needed super large CPU fan and Heat sink AND it won't hit the RAM with the now needed higher heat sinks. And I know it's asking to much, but they could spread the RAM apart more for air.

I use this on mine, break off 2 or 3 of the fins from the long side and your good.

This board is worth it the only thing I don't like is there is NO firewire header on the board.

You can but a PCI or PCI-E firewire card to remedy that.

think of sata a much faster version of usb for transfering infomation thats why they are used in almost all motherboards today. sata or Serial Advanced Technology Attachment allows you to plug in hd dvd and blu ray players and of coarse hard drives to transfer information at amazing speeds
