Probably some sort of cypress, european or other. Commonly used by flamenco luthiers.

Sweet! Love this piece and can't remember hearing it done better. Great legato, and very lyrical. I'll be watching for more of Maestro Bungarten's work, especially the Bach; a great feel for it!
