No offense to people on here, stating what looks "obvious," but if a person has competed, there are times when things don't appear damaging to a spectator, but you'd be surprised how effective some things are in an actual fght, not to mention other factors, such as going into a strike, and little nuances have won many fights, trust me...beside that, if he were going to throw a fight, wouldn't it make more sense to make it appear an actual fight, and not so quickly?
I don't argue with you on this part. I'm no expert and I think it's easy to underestimate the impact of certain punches or kicks. You can find a lot of vids on youtube where a fighter goes ko on a seemingly 'minor' hit that actuelly caused a lot of damage. You won't hear me state that alle those matches are rigged. The difference with this match is the reaction of Aerts. The look on his face on 0.26 is one - in my opinion- of utter disbelief.

Looking at this (and some other fights), even 15 stone me could take Bob. He is a powerfull huge man who could no doubt kill me with a single punch or ground n pound me to death but Muay Thai attack and dodge him and you may just win! Awesome physique though, reminds me of a video game character or two.

I have watched a few of bob sapps fights now. He should be banned from all mma contests as he throws fights. There is no way that the knee I seen in this fight would pit a gorilla like that down. He is betting on himself or being paid. Either way he is a whore to the sport. Fuck you sapp.

@PartyDelicious He was basically apologising for the quality of the fight and that he will fight a decent opponent next time :) The word he says at the end (Huz?) is something Japanese, it usually indicates the start or finish of a match.

@dukiemac it was a clean knee to the liver. With Sapp's years of steroid abuse, his liver is very sensitive, so it's not too surprising that he went down, at least to anyone who has a slight clue about fighting. How many knees to the liver from K-1 HWs have you taken...?

@dukiemac Bet on himself? I dont think anyone with half a brain would pick Sapp to win this fight. This isnt MMA where he can roll on top of Aerts and suffocate him, this is actual stand up fighting. I'm not sure how Sapp managed to get this fight in the first place.

@dukiemac I hope you're not basing that in the Crop Cop fight. Sapp's orbital socket was shattered. Anyway, in general, you're right. He's a 300lb+ pussy. In Japan he is popular though. He's earned a nice living, probably better than would be the case here in the USA, since he has no real fighting skills. He's kind of like a Gentle Giant in Japan. He's endorsed/done commercials for 1,000 products.

@dukiemac I think you underestimate the destructiveness of that attack there mate. If people haven't tense their abs when it hits, it's often all over. In addition, Sapp was charging forward, adding to the impact.
And Peter Aerts being massively powerfull and skilled also had a lot to do with it I'd say. I wouldn't want to be kneed in the plexus by him, not ever, not even if they paid me to be. ^_^
