    Th HO or N model run on "DC" track right out of the box, you can add a "DCC"

    decoder if you so choose to run on "DCC"

    Con-Cor Trains makes a "DCC" Sound Decoder for this model

  • great model but i do not like the "blue"lighting

    The Pioneer Zephyr was one of the very first trains to use Florescent interior lighing,

    Which has a blue cast, hence the blue lighting for interiors. The headlights remained

    incandencent lighting and so those are the brownish yellow to repesent the correct

    lighting of those times.
