  • A seuthe smoke Generator is nothing compared to these new fan driven smoke units. With some of the after market smoke fluids, these things smoke very well. I have to install an exhaust fan for my O scale smokers.

  • @Denniss7420 Agreed, they run VERY well. I haven't tried any other fluids yet except for the proto smoke fluids. Is it safe to run others?

  • I just paid $525.00 for #3977 tonight, been searching for months and finally got my hands on her! lol....Can't wait till it comes in, judging by what i see here its gonna be fun,,,,,Thanks for the great video, layout is looking fantastic!!

  • @RailFanRick Yep that sounds about right, I believe that's what I paid for mine too. You will LOVE this loco man, it is top notch and the sound it perfect. Thanks! I'll be working on the layout a little bit this year, not as much as I have been in the past though, I don't have the time I used to...

  • You can also use this Water Plug to make a textured or a 3-D look on your bare concrete walls with the closer hills, or objects.. It dries very fast so you just have to make small admounts at a time.

  • Did you seal the holes on the wall?

On the concrete walls, a product called Water Plug should be used. Dries in 5 mins..

They would of used it on the outside walls before back filling, then the tar coating, & insulating styro-foam panels. Depending on your location, & how good a builder, they could leak in the future?

Nice Job! - Keep the Vid's coming!

  • Yes sir, My dad, his work partner and myself built my home. It's a log home with an unfinished basement. Outside is tarred and foam insulated. What I used was white colored thinset and it worked pretty well, although it was alot more work. I like the sounds of this Water plug stuff. Wish I knew about it before hand. Thanks for the info though!

  • Its fretty sweet that theyve began putting smoke units on HO engines. Bet that baby wasn't cheap

  • @Trainlover12345 What do you mean "began?" I have a little Bachmann locomotive that my parents bought me about 15 years ago with a smoke feature. Of course it only came with one little tube of it, and I ran out years ago. Need to find more at some point..

  • ok now im jealous i wish i had stuck with HO scale

amazing locomotive, just for fun i would stick a BNSF unit behind it 5*****

  • Thanks man, it's alot of fun too! I love my diesels but you just gotta admit, there is alot more visually going on with the steam locos.

  • ya there is but wish MTH was in N scale as well

with the steam locomotives every thing thats moving is impressive

  • WOW sounds amazing,

good job on the back dorp, looks great

    5*****

  • Thanks! I'm not done yet with the back drop but it sure does add alot more depth to everything now.

  • @Zebinator yeah it makes everything look so much more real.

  • Sweet, i want to the the Clinchfield one, Sounds great, Smoke is AWESOME, 5 stars

  • Thanks! I can't get it to smoke as good as it did when I first got it though. Need to play around with it some more.

  • I am not sure about the HO, but there should be a place on the bottom of the engine or the tender or in the tender you should be able to turn to make it smoke more or less, look in the instructions, it should tell you.

  • Yup, F17 is supposed to change the smoke volume. I've played with that and it didn't really make much difference. I think it may have something to do with the type that came with it. I'll investigate more.
