Whoever is even mentioning bjj on this video needs to shut up , they clearly know nothing about this , back when it all began the training was known to be brutal to say the least lol emperado had one of the most strict and no nonsense training out there .In your bjj training do you regualarly leave a session bleeding and in absoulte agony from taking many strikes and throws all day ?? i can awnser that for you pal ... NO
Bjj come to our Kajukenbo class and see if bjj would work on us....it may but 9times out 10 I will gurantee you'll leave holding your nuts or arm saying 'you can't do that".
You know what i find funny, is that 90% of these techniques are LEGAL in MMA and even more are legal in vale tudo.. yet you never see any wrist locks or crazy shit like this in MMA.. why?.. cause its all abunch of fake shit that doesnt work on RESISTING opponants. Until i see a video of this on a real opponant, this is crap.
@Brazilianjj groin shots, eye gouges, throat chops, palm strikes, fish hooks, head butts, knees to downed oppenents, etc. are not allowed in mma. some were in the early days, and they worked really well. this art has worked for years and years on some of the baddest streets of hawaii. self defense and ring arts are 2 different animals. no, it wont go down like the videos, they are just reference points. but try pulling guard on a bar floor with 3 guys swinging chairs and bottles. perspective..
@MrByaeger So your saying a Kajukenbo fighter cant fight without doing those illegal moves? sounds like a pussy fighter to me. You say the art has worked for years.. yet no proof of it.. your WORD means nothing. and Only a fucking moron would pull guard in a bar...
@Brazilianjj i dont need any proof, its been working for me just fine since 1989. but if you need proof just pop on over to your closet kjkb dojo and ask about their "pussy, fake, bullshit" art. in fact, be sure to record it for all of us to watch and learn from. because we agree on 2 things my friend, dont pull guard in a bar, and talk is cheap. i am certain they will be glad to accomodate you. good luck .
@MrByaeger Keep telling your self it works buddy..whatever helps you sleep.. I dont even know why you brought up pulling gaurd in a bar... has nothing to do with anything...
@Brazilianjj Shut the fuck up you fuckin pussy....we all know you really cant fight....I'll break your fuckin arm backwards at the elbow & stab you in the jugular with the broken bone
@SirkleMusic LOL You talk like you know me.. which you dont, which shows your ignorance.. it also shows that your probably 12-14 years old. Since you CONTINUE to make Threats over the internet... but too much of a scared pussy to meet in real life even when i give you my address... pussy
@Brazilianjj BHAHAHA i gave you my address too bitch...what, mommy and daddy wont let you out of your basement? LOL! whatever...just keep pretending you're a good fighter....what kind of loser actually WATCHES these videos in hopes of learning something?....people afraid to fight, thats who..LOL!
@Brazilianjj Wow You really need to open your mind and obviously your learning capability. Your name is Brazilianjj and you dont beleive in wristlocks or holds. I grew up in germany and korea and have rarely been in a fight one on one and have always walked away even if i was beat to hell. One reality you will face one day is that there is always someone better and even you can be beat. If you have never lost you havent learned anything. Try on some modesty and quit emberassing your sensei.
@AsturiasGuitar you are talking out your ass its obvious youve never been in a real fight with a real fighter. Wrist locks holds and hand control are very efective if you know how to use them. If you cant make them work its probably becouse you do not commit to the move or have not been tought to trap properly.
@she11hammer Its obvious you have not been in a real fight.. id pay $1,000 US money to anyone who can catch my punch and do some wrist lock throw... it aint gonna happen in a real fight, this is crap, period.
This is really NOT effective. It just looks kind of cool. If you look more closely, the defensive techniques lack any power, thus are overcome easily. Using joko uke as a release from someone grabing you?! That is nonsense, just try it on someone! Also, trying to catch someone´s punch in mid-air and than proceeding with wrist lock? This is all just for show and suicidal in real situation.
The problem is with the techniques themselves. Of course that practice differs from reality, however if you practice the wrong thing from the beginning the result will be bad as well. I like the counter-attacks, however the defensive techniques are wrong and will simply not work. Try on your next training releasing yourself from grab by joko uke, if your opponent is holding your collar strong. You will find yourself unable to break his grip and your head will be open to attack.
I can understand that, and largely you are right. However try this: when the streight punch comes at you, clamp on either side of your opponent's forearm with your hands. This will stun or at least distract him. Than you can deliver a kick to the groin, and THAN perform a wrist throw
That actually sound very good! Now only to find someone willing to get himself kicked in the groin:) But it kind of proves my point- the techniques dont work without proper defence (such as your forearm clap). Trying to cath someone´s hand in flight and performing wristlocks in open position is like begging someone to punch you in the nose with the other hand..
@Switor wrong, I can do it, and i know hundreds of people who can also do it. It is a timing and skill developed over years and years of training, it includes attaining the skill of knowing when he will strike and what hand and path he will use, trapping the limb is a valid technique and is used in no rules competititions and street fights world wide.
Why are all the examples ended with (in your words) a "Step Back Cover" ? Aren't you giving the enemy a second bite at the apple when you "Step Back Cover"? Why not show us a "finish" concept"?
No Kajukenbo combine Karate, Judo, Kenpo, and American boxing. Ed Parker studied Kosho Shorei Ryu Kempo and Chuan Fa before finally formalizing American Kenpo. Kajukenbo derives techniques from the Parker system I believe (looks familiar). Either way both Kajukenbo and American Kenpo are amazing and devastating arts!
@johnm543 No its dosent derive techniques American Kempo techniques even though they are similar its Kempo Techniques so they are going to look familiar
The 80's are asking for Gary to return the hair LOL Geez...I couldn't take classes from that guy, the only worse would be if it was slicked back or a mullet...
kajukenbo is a martial art that is about ENDING the fight and making that person not want to mess with you ever again. Do whatever it takes for you not to get hurt.
I wish I found a school in NYC that teaches this style. Snow Tiger Combat System is the ONLY style i seen that is effective as this style. From the philosiphies to the training is similar.
Yes, it is extremely dirty. Thats sort of the point, it was developed to teach people to defend themselves against drunken American sailors in Hawaii.
kajukenbo is all about dirty fighting and ending fights quickly.
thai boxings is still badass tho, i like it.
but kajukenbo is my art.
been doing it for 8 years. im 15 yrs old, and am sparring and beating people that are about 30-35 yrs old. so it works wonders. and kajukenbo is all over the states and outside of the usa, so check it out. :D
my kajukenbo training sucks compared to dis :(
