  • chris:numnumnenenumnumbenumbenumbbe

  • i just got the mac pro and it's awsome

  • Your actually supposed to ground yourself to the computer itself. That's what makes the ground and prevents you from charging components.

  • 1:03 thats becuase they hate macs

  • "You broke my pancreas" LOOOL

  • Mac Pro's are great, and the wireless keyboard works good, I went with the Solid state drives as well, and I run Windows 7 on it as well and it runs better..funny how that works !!!!

  • @PCGuyATSInc funny how my 1000$ custom pc can dual boot snow leopard and windows 7, and OS X runs faster than it does on a retail mac pro, funny how that works!!!

  • @HaloTitan128 Cool! I modded a go kart to go faster than a Rolls Royce. Stupid idiot Rolls Royce users could just get a go kart with a fast engine instead of buying those stupid luxury cars!!!!

    Windows 7 was my idea!!!!!!

  • "whoever shipped this was a PC user"...LOL! So true :) That's what I always say :))) It IS a fact, though!

  • lol my custom gaming rig makes this look like a piece of robot crap

  • @muffins919 What do you expect, your comparing a new computer to a nearly 3 year old one.

  • @cadDude97

how do you know it's new???

  • @MrErjavec Because the best processors at the time were the Xeons. So you'd have a system with close to the same specs, because the Mac Pros came standard with 2 Xeons, for 8 cores.

  • Lol u openen the box, and I was like, BAWWWWWW its a mac.

  • thumbs up for hackintosh!!!

  • @GTSRBOY Welcome to three months ago

  • Only Chris can make videos last this long.

  • stuff

  • im so supprised chris hasnt upgraded his mac pro

  • macs, are nice but I prefer windows computers

  • so how do you guys think of the apple financing payments for this bad boy? too risky? us average poor people can't afford such an extreme machine with a single payment.

  • It's Called a static Trap. It removes the static charge from your body. Computer Components are very sensitive to these static charges. One wrong touch can fry some important things inside the pc.

  • what is the thing he puts on his hand 9:12 ???

  • @MIovI i'm getting a octa core 3ghz with 18gb of ram and x1900xt for 1300, so yay. it's true. did chris buy this one on ebay?

  • Power cord, junk!

  • damn what I beast, if I ever get rich I want a Mac Pro

  • @supersjaak123 Get the upcoming 12 core!

  • lol I got the "sorry" joke from monty python. lol

  • thats a big box

  • It would have been way to funny if it fell of the desk when he moved the box.

  • i made 1 of these for £15,000 on the apple store

  • 15,143.94 £

  • yes , fucking ridiculous

  • But what you get is amazing. Two 30 monitors 4 vga's almost 6 Ghz cpu. Try bulding X serve its even more expensove about 88 000 £

  • 4 vgas?

  • grafic card = GPU = vga

  • @ARToneLT I think you mean dvi, a computer like this is not going to have vga as the main output on the graphics card

  • for what does a private need a macpro?

  • and why you need a computer?

  • I need a computer to play pc games, surf the internet, comunicate with my freinds etc etc.

  • "its called a hard drive because its hard"

    haha^^

  • I got my PC 4 Years ago!

  • dude u are fuckin awsome

  • great vid dude

  • where's the monitor of that version of mac pro??do i have to buy a monitor or the monitor was inlcuded when i buy a mac pro like the mac pro in this video??

  • You have to buy that separate

  • what does the static guard do?

  • Stop you damaging the electronics inside of your computer with static electricity form your body.

  • how much ram did chris buy in the end

  • 16 gb ramm i think

  • he had two gig to start but he upgraded it to 16 yes

    :)

  • Wow. Strange behaviour.

  • FYI he spent $20,000 on this computer... rediculous...

  • I'm assuming you live in a part of the world where 20,000 Dollars is equivalent to 4,500 American Dollars.

    (End Sarcasm Here.)

Learn what you're talking about BEFORE you speak.

  • Dude stfu. I live in the US. In one of pirillo's videos he is talking to a creditor and he tells hime that he paid $20,000. Not a typo. U need to learn some manners DIPSHIT!

  • I need to learn manners, and yet you tell me to Shut the Fuck Up?

    Nice.

And are you sure he didn't say $20,000 Worth of Equipment, because that would sound reasonable considering all the stuff he has in his office.

  • well he lives in america so lol. It may feel like $4,500 to him because he probably earns like millions from adverts in his live stream and his website lol.

  • I know But He Has the Money to spend that much so he did.

  • No number keys on the keyboard?

  • cuz it's wireless

  • The wireless keyboard is only available in a "Laptop" form factor, and while that may be an issue for some people, many people (including myself) don't really seem to mind.

The wired keyboard from Apple also defaults in a "Laptop" form factor, however you can get a model with a numeric pad for no extra charge.

  • linux sux... iMac, Mac Pro and MacBook are awesome!!

  • Wow, I haven't noticed that the Mac Pro is easily upgradeable. I am a Linux user

  • 9:27 was fuuny.

    Static guarde

  • were dose he get all that mouny?????

  • google ads?

  • through sponsors on his live stream.

  • ehhh he's a tech geek, and he WORKS like most adults do. I guess he spends the money from work on the mac pro, like anyone else who buys it does? lol

  • No, this IS his job. He's getting money for sponsors.

  • What was that thing he clipped on to some metal and what's it for?

  • Static guard.

Just to make sure when he touches something on the computer that static doesn't render it useless.

  • wow. Are computers really that sensitive to static? I might wan't to get one of thos.

  • Well only if you get in the case. I've been inside many computers before and have never used static guards and everything has been fine. But it would be a good idea to get one, but if you don't want to or don't have the time just touch some metal and don't rub your shag carpet and everything should be fine :)

  • ure girlfrind is a slag

  • which is a better graphic card 256MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3650 or NVIDIA GeForce 9200 graphics card

    (256MB Dedicated) PLZ REPLY

  • dont bother getting either, they are both shit. but out of them two, i would say the ati. they wont do anyting though.

If anything get something like an ati radeon hd 4600 or if you have around 70 - 80 quid get the radeon 4850 or something.

Im gettnig a really good one, nvidia 9800 gtx+

  • I would go with nVidia, I've used them in the past and am completely satisfied with them.

  • dude, at 3:51, u sound like eric cartman!

  • LOL so true! :)))))))))))))))))

  • lol at 09:28 XD

  • WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THIS MAC.

  • Normally, it would of been $5500, however, when he signed up for ADC (Apple Dev Connection) (cost $500), he got a discount for his Mac Pro. The price dropped $1000. So really, he saved $500. So anyway, normally it would of been $5500, but he really paid $1000 less.

  • THANKS.

  • Turn the caps lock off buddy

  • go dude nice mac pro love it can i have it pls

  • "is that jody?"

    "it is"!"

  • You should have bought even more monitors and graphics cards

  • That thing must be so damn fast. I most likely will never buy it because of the cost, but that things a beast. 4 HARDDRIVE SLOTS!

  • how much did you pay for it

in India it costs 8000 US$ i.e 4 lac INRS

its like we can buy a brand new car at the sane price

  • I would miss the number pad on the keyboard

  • not me

  • I would, too!

  • o.O who's Jody? Did he name his Macbook pro?

  • it was a person on ventrillo

  • omg i wish i can have it but whit xp

  • you can have xp on it but would you want to?

  • for games, of course...

  • The mac pro is a workstation, not meant for gaming.

  • you can do both trust me

  • course you can, but I'm just saying :P

  • why is the mac not for gaming????????????????

  • Apple didn't build this computer around gamers, they built it around developers. The types of RAM they use etc. There is no point for having 8-core systems at the moment when games can't take advantage of them.

  • EPIC size :) EPIC power :)

  • Who the hell is Jody?

  • it should of said

"Designed by Apple in California for Chris Pirillo"

    lol

  • Your funny! LOL!!!

  • "My pancreas attracts every other pancreas in the universe with a force proportional to the product of thier masses, and inversly proportional to the distance between them........................."

  • Its just you.

  • Why did he attach that thing to his wrist?

  • it's an anti static wriststrap but it might only have some use if you are building a pc from the ground up (like when you are putting the mobo, cpu, gpu etc together) he's only swapping things and not even toucing the pcb so it's useless what he is doing. Probably cus he's a apple fanboy ;)

  • no. putting the wrist strap on was a good idea. when you take off the side pannel on ANY computer case, its attached to metal. everything INSIDE the case(cards, mobo etc..) are all able to get "zapped" by a static electricity charge if you aren't grounded properly just if you touch the metal that the side pannel is attached to before its taken off. I know that aint the best way of explaining it, but its the best i could do lol..

  • well he was only swapping hdd's and not touching the pcb's. When you're going to touch the pcb's you should consider putting a wrist strap on or atleast put the psu in connected and touch any unpainted metal to unload the static electricity, just like in a situation when you are actualy BUILDING a pc. For swapping hdd, just touching the sockets ground pins or your radiator (unpainted though) will be sufficient enough to get the job done safely.

  • It's to cut the static electricity that could harm your computer's inside components.

  • Very true, imo, all OS's (i say all because of linux) are great in their own ways and they all have the right prices. Although macs cost more than you make, they are usually worth it. Very smooth and efficient. Vista, is much cheaper, for way better hardware. I use vista for gaming, and i use linux for most of the thing syou would on mac. But linux is like mac, but it takes a hell of a lot more time and work. IMO :D

  • It's not always about hardware. It's also about software efficiency. And quite frankly, Mac OS X is much more elegant and fast. Compared to Vista or even XP, OSX is like a dream come true.

  • OSX Is simplicity to its finest

  • We need change!

  • My only computer is an HP, and I can tell you first hand, I think it's not that great. Too much junkware preloaded, poor quality hardware, etc. Why would you recommend HP?

  • HP have nicer design compard to other companies out there like dell, acer, toshiba and Alienware in my opinion.

But I have too agree with the software pre-installed on there.

It's full of so much shit and bloatware that you don't need.

I managed to spare a good 10gb of storage space by Uninstalling the "HP health check center" program on my old HP notebook.

All the computers running windows are the same, why would we need stupid bloatware like that!

  • MACS OWN!

  • 1:33

    lol

  • Hmmm, you're worried about scratches on the outside box?! WTH!! o_O

  • this video it's so lol

  • i want it :)

  • WTF is that annoying crap/

  • i freaking love my aluminum wireless keyboard

    awesomeness

  • Loving the voice - round about 5:10 :P:P:P rofl

  • "Don't attach it to a machine running Windows Vista, The drivers are yet to be updated" - Chris Pirillo

    LOL

  • I build computers and have never used a static guard it is not necessary and also Mac rules and so do GEEKS!

  • WOOOHOOO Geeks rule and so do macs.

  • "Dont attach it to a machine running Windows Vista, The drivers are yet to be updated" - Chris Pirillo

    LMAO

  • i watched this video for like 5th time

  • why did Chris attach this weird cable to his arm

  • he can damage the hardware, because we are charged with static, so with that "weird" cable he is grounding his self.

  • static guard helps with not frying the hardware didnt you hear a guy say it over vent

  • You don't need it though. You just touch a radiator or something that takes the charge out of you and you're all fine and dandy, I've built a few computers and nothing bad has ever happened.

  • 8:24 yup yup yup yup yup yup yup gigidy gigidy

  • keyboard owns i have the usb version best keyboard ever

  • HOW MUCK DOES IT COST

  • it cost him 4500 but he got a 500 discont

  • if i were to get a mac pro, i would go wireless on the mighty mouse, but then wired on the keyboard. that thing is way too small!

  • Designed by Chris, in Seattle

    Wish granted chris :)

  • Could someone answer this question?

Can the Mac Pro run SLI, because some people say you can with a SLI ribbon cable for OS X, and some say you can't.

    Whats going on?

    kp

  • get high of the straphome

  • IT doesn't make sense to say that the wireless keyboard is small for your hands (I'm commenting on one of those scrolly by chats) because the keys and distance between the keys are EXACTLY the same as full-sized keyboard. If you don't believe me, examine it yourself. The reason gaps between keys are possible in the Wireless keyboard is because in regular keyboards, the edges of the keys flare out and are not actually touched by the fingers.

  • Congrats! Glad to see you movin up in YouTube :P

  • one last thing, i don't think you know the first thing about computers which is why macs are your best option. I have viewed other videos by you and you don't seem to know squat!
