I don't understand why so many Christians feel the need to convert Jews. Why the urgency guys? I was a Catholic but converted to Judaism for the very reason ipwnnewbs50 highlighted and I'm grateful for their opinion. Also, but don't let that put you off answering my question :) Shalom to everyone, Gentile, Jew or not decided.
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and give birth to a Son, and will call Him Emmanuel ( meaning God with us).
Isaiah 9:6 (Torah)
For unto us a Son is born... and He will be called ...Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace..
I am growing weary of praying, hoping, and waiting, for 'Ha Geulah'. And since we know that Hashem is a G-d who hides Himself, and that He usually waits for us to take the initiative, then what about making the following actions a top priority:
1) Reinstitute the Paschal sacrifices in Jerusalem
2) Insist that Jews be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount
3) Reinstitute the Sanhedrin
4) Begin an active conversion outreach program, (Zec 8:23)
I know a lot of the orthodox community disagrees with this, but here are my thoughts.
If you're a non-jew and you don't want to be doing the minimum, and truly want to lead a religious life, CONVERT TO JUDAISM! The noahide laws are for those who don't want to devote their life to g-d to that extent(not that there's anything 'wrong' with that per se), the torah and judaism are for those who are ready to devote their life to the g-d of israel.

I respect the right of each person to believe as they will.
I don't agree with most traditional jews where the subject of Jesus is concerned, because I am a Christian who believes in Him as the Son of God, who has already come to earth once and who will come again at the end of days.
But I do know that each of us has to answer individually to the Father for what we believe and do in this life.
I dont wish to take away the beliefs of Judaism. I just wish jews could see it like I do. :o)
With all due respect, either you are born a Jew or you are a convert. There is no such thing as "being grafted into the vine".
That is a chrstian concept that takes Hebrew scripture out of context (as many are as well). If you really want to learn about what the Hebrew bible says, learn the language of G-d. There is no way around that. All else is just heresay.

Hope this helps;
We Christians believe the the following:
Isaiah 7:14 (Torah)
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and give birth to a Son, and will call Him Emmanuel ( meaning God with us).
Isaiah 9:6 (Torah)

In my opinion, the waning interest in [Torah] Judaism could be remedied by making it a top priority to do the following:
1) Reinstitute the Paschal sacrifices in Jerusalem
2) Insist that Jews be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount
3) Reinstitute the Sanhedrin
4) Begin an active conversion outreach program, (Zec 8:23)
5) Lay the cornerstones for the next Temple

From a Christian point of view, technically a Christian does not need to convert to Judaism because we are already grafted in to the vine.
But I do think that it's important for all Christians to understand Judaism and it's roots because without it, we can't truly understand Christianity.

yea, my comment was intended for jewish and gentile believers in judaism.

From the perspective of Torah Observant Judaism:
1) Anyone who believes that Jesus is divine, or an incarnation of G-d in the flesh (sic), etc., is an idolator.
2) Non-Jews who refuse to adhere to the 'Seven Laws of Noah' at a bare minimum, will NOT be a part of Israel's salvation.
3) Any Jew who believes that Jesus is Messiah, has stepped far outside of the boundaries of Halacha, and consequently, has become a sinner.

If you understood or could read Hebrew you'd understand exactly why Jews reject the one from Nazerath.
It is idol worship plain and simple.
