The Woodside and 69th St scenes are the ones from 10-23-01. The rest is from Feb 2002. I have much more and made sure that the R-36s were documented to my satisfaction.
I had many chances to ride the redbirds, but I never rode the WF cars before. They retained a lot of old technology all the way to their 2003 retirement. Most of the redbirds were still in service since the R142s were having their problems and stored redbirds were forced back into service. The following year however the mainline car's days would be numbered as many of them were retired in 2002 and the rest that survived were retired in 2003. Awesome video trainluvr.
@kmothersil did u ride em on the 6 cause the 6 ran R33WFs i used to ride em on the 2,4,5,6 and ocassionally on the 7 now im enjoying the R62 and R62As
Amazing video! Sadly i only got a chance to ride the redbirds once while they where in service, since i was a little kid and didnt live anywhere near queens.
How cool you uploaded this ten years to the day that you originally filmed portions of it! That's awesome! I miss the WF Redbirds!
